Two level deck
Alec and his team were great. He was willing to work with my initial designs and even provided some great suggestions. His crew was very professional and the work was completed within the committed timeframe. I would hire Alec and his crew again any day.

Front Porch
Alec gave us a great quote that was well below others. He was friendly, professional and gave us lots of options for different price ranges. He has before and after pictures and got the job done really quick. He starts and finishes the job as opposed to starting multiple jobs and leaving you waiting with your deck half finished. We've recommended Alec to friends looking for a new deck!

Deck Repair
I needed repairs to my 19 year old condo townhouse deck, which had sun-blistered boards and a leaning wall. Alec gave me a great quote for such a small job, and came out to do the job within a few days. He and his team did great work, even replacing the joists and building support for the wall that had been leaning. Alec even helped out dealing with the nervous neighbor with whom I share the wall. And I just noticed that he came by after the job was done to paint the cut edges on the deck with preservative. Thanks again Alec, for the great job!

TREX DECK and Hot Tub Platform
Built a really solid deck for us and a specially designed platform for our hot tub. See past review. UNFORTUNATELY, THE ELECTRICAL BOX WAS COVERED BY THE DECK WITH NO ACCESS AS PROMISED. Needless to say this is causing an easily avoidable problem for a custom deck had the work been a bit more professional and/or the follow up available. A service is only as good as the follow up and after care. I must withdraw my previous endorsement of Master Deck.

Removal of collapsing sunroom/new deck built
Excellent service - excellent crew of workers, Alec and his team were a pleasure to deal with. Alec had to rearrange our initial meeting due to the fact that he and the team were soaked through after working to finish the job they were on, in a heavy rainstorm. He still stopped by personally to let us know. The next appointment was an informative, knowledgeable discussion of what we could do with the space and wishlist/budget available. The work was done in 3 days which included the removal of our falling down sunroom. I appreciated the courtesy and friendly attitude of Ari and the team who built the deck, they did not complain when I realised that the lights should have been added, and did the change straight away, they even designed and built a gate which has been admired by all who have passed through. They did such a great job tha my neighbour wanted their details for her own gate/deck. When I mentioned a board that looked a little split, a couple of weeks after installation, Alec immediately sent someone to replace it, even though it was a minor issue. We have a fantastic deck, loved from it's installation, at a great price, built by a first class team - I would recommend these guys and this company to anyone wanting a great deck. Don't be scared to discuss your ideas, they are experienced and can tell you honestly what will work and why.No bull!

deck replacement for condo terraces
MASTERDECK built high-quality deck replacements here at Hepbourne Hall. We have had raves from the unit owners…. and the owners of our “other older” terraces all have “DECK ENVY” now. As president/manager of this historic church condominium I was delighted by Alec and his crew. They all were very responsive and careful in our common areas and the workmanship was impeccable. Hepbourne Hall is known as one of Toronto’s finest heritage/conversion projects with 22 luxury condo units.

Deck Rebuild / Reface
Alec did a very good job replacing my lumber deck with Azek composite product. Both his workmanship and the product are great and I would definitely use him again for any deck building or renovation. He was knowledgeable, reasonable, flexible and stayed on the project until it was completely finished.

Reinforcing Deck
I had a home insurance inspector come and he said that my second floor deck needed reinforcing. I called Master Deck and Alec called me right back. He told me that he was doing a job nearby and would be able to come by and check out what needed to be done. He came by the next day. He explained what needed to be done and what his schedule is and when he could do the job. He was actually able to come by sooner - he brought 2 other guys with him and they worked like machines, organized and coordinated. The were done in an hour, charged me what he quoted. it's beautifully secure and looks great! I'd use them again in a heartbeat!

replacing an old wood deck
I had an old wood deck which was rotting and needed to be replaced. I had Alec replace the old deck with a new PVC deck and remove the shrubs around the old deck. I wanted the base of the deck to be concrete to keep rainwater away from the foundation of the house and to prevent racoons living underneath the crawlspace. Alec was very helpful in choosing the right material for the deck. Thee was no pressure while I was deciding on a contractor. His team was on site early and they were there every day until they deck was completed. The job was done in less time than I expected.

Deck Rebuild and Pergola
What a pleasure it was to have Alec rebuild our decrepit deck and build a pergola for us. Alec listened to our ideas, and made suggestions that blended well with our needs. He was eager to try to make our dream deck and pergola a reality, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Alec presented a very reasonable quote, and all work was done to the specifications in the quote and within a very reasonable timeline. His very friendly nature and his team’s work ethic was evident and made the job an unobtrusive event in our lives. Thanks so much for helping create a wonderful backyard living space for us.
