Pergola Repair & Racoon-Proofing
Alec & his team were able to fit in our repair/proofing quickly. We needed to seal up under our deck so raccoons couldn't live there anymore, and also remove the wisteria that was pulling down our pergola! They completely removed the 10+ year old vine (no small feat!) and took it away. They carefully removed all the pieces to the exsiting pergola, replaced the rotted, leaning posts and some deck boards, set new posts in concrete and expertly reassembled the top of the pergola. Alec was able to respond to a few alterations to the trellises until the job was done to my satisfaction. It looks terrific! The crew also dug in and installed proper wire to keep all critters out from under our deck, where a family of raccoons had been living. The crew put in a very long day leaving just before dark. They were all pleasant, respectful and professional. I'd certainly recommend MasterDecks to my friends and neighbours. Thanks!!

Back deck construction
Alec and his crew were great. The price quoted was the price we paid which was very competitive. Alec never used any high- pressure sales tactics, provided us with solid design ideas and made the changes during construction we wanted. Our deck is now the centrepiece of our home for relaxing and entertaining.

New deck
Our deck was beginning to collapse and rotting in places. It was obviously self built by a previous owner probably 20 years ago. The framing was inadequate with some of the posts having only a foot of concrete beneath and others nothing. Alec gave us a very competitive quote. They had the old deck out with new concrete footings in place in a day. Their framing was much more robust. The deck was completed over the next four days which also included fixing a leaning cedar fence with new posts & concrete. Their workmanship is first rate and design elements they chose have made the new deck look even better than we expected. The site was left clean afterwards. All the guys go the extra mile. 850 sq ft deck
We had Master Deck build a 2-level cedar deck. Alec's recommendations to our initial design turned out great. He's a knowledgeable individual and we're really happy with the outcome. The team worked fast without sacrificing quality. The price is fair and we would certainly recommend their service to our friends and family.

Deck
Early spring when we decided to build a deck , we started to get quotes from different companies in Homestars , Alex from Master Deck gave us the best quote out of the three we choose and was very pleasant to deal with . He also provided us with different alternatives and also made some good suggestions to the design we had. The work started as promised within three weeks and Tim and the crew did a wonderful job and exceed our expectations. They were accommodating with the additional changes we wanted made to the initial design and the job was completed in 5 days .

Modify existing deck
I recently had Alec & crew back to make a modification to our deck which he built for us 15 years ago. As usual, he is prompt, friendly and does great work. Over the years he has built our deck, side porch, made modifications and built some overhead wood shelving in our garage. We always call him back for additional work and we recommend him to all our friends! We love our deck!

Deck
We have only great things to say about Alec and Tim from Master Deck. Not a single concern! Realistic, fair quote, on time, great quality, clean, friendly and helpful. Alec helped us design the new deck and had some wonderful ideas to make it better than our original vision. We have been disappointed by many contractors in the past, but were more than impressed by the team from Master Deck. We would recommend Alec to anyone who asks! We will definitely use him in the future for other projects!

Removal of old deck and construction of 480 sq foot deck
Alec is one of the rare contractors who does a great job but is a really nice and patient guy, plus he came in with the lowest quote of three bids. He was on site for all steps of the project. Here is a synopsis of my project: DESIGN: My basement is a walkout but the old deck had support beams that hung low so you had to duck when you exited the basement doors. Alec designed the new deck so we have more clearance. Then, my house is very long so I wanted a 40 foot long deck. However, city bylaws have a restiction on deck length. Alec designed the deck to satisfy city requirements. CONSTRUCTION: Alec was onsite with his crew for demolition and building the deck. They were diligent and were there every day they had good weather. One of my neighbours who is home during the day commented that they were very polite and respectful. The guys also did a good job cleaning up upon completion. RESULT: a beautiful deck with Azek boards and glass paneled railings. People have been impressed with the high quality construction. The deck has now been through a Winter (deck was completed in October) and looks just as good as when completed. I recommend Alec to anyone looking to build a deck.

Townhome backyard deck
We were really pleased with the construction of our deck. It really added to our home. The service was very dependable, on-time and very neat. We have recommended Master Deck to our friends and neighbors.

Deck
Alec and his team were very professional and did an amazing job. They were in and out in 4 days and we were left with a beautiful deck. I had gotten many quotes and Master Deck was on the low side. I would recommend for sure!
