Had Rick give us a quote and walk us through the project. His advice and workmanship on the installation our new hardwood floor was not only superb but our 20 year old living room now looks and feels like a new house. Not only easy to deal with but had excellent advice, the job was completed on time, on budget and looks great. Very polite and efficient crew.

I contacted Rick to remove parquet flooring and replace with 5" hickory hardwood. Rick took the time to explain the possible problems with the material, and the detailed issues with installing broad board materials. Regrettably, Rick's team was busy and couldn't meet our schedule. Another large installation company (well reviewed on homestars), was hired. They in turn subcontracted my install to a random installer who stripped the parquet and cut the door jambs (Crooked)! After installing 1 of 8 floors we told them not to come back. We decided to wait for Mclaughlin's schedule to fit our installation. It was worth the wait!! We are really happy with the work Rick and his team did. Right from the start Rick was very clear on pricing, and flexible on how we wanted to complete the project. They removed and disposed of all old hardwood and installed new engineered flooring and baseboards. We have an old house with uneven floors, and they did a great job levelling them and screwing down subfloor. Crew were all polite and cleaned up after themselves. We found the pricing to be very reasonable as well. Would highly recommend them for your flooring needs.

What can I say, other than amazing work. Jordan and Steve did a fantastic job installing my hardwood flooring. Helped decide the best direction to lay the floor and were done the work in about 1/2 day. WOW! Great craftsmanship and attention to details. Cut the floor in under a rounded staircase and it looks perfect! No need for any mouldings to cover things up. I have already recommended them to another person and will be having them back to complete my upstairs flooring.

We wanted to have hardwood floors installed in our living room and dining room, and after shopping around for quotes, we decided to go with Rick at McLaughlin Flooring. He came on time with his crew and did the entire job in one day. They also moved the furniture out of the rooms and back again for a nominal fee. They did a beautiful job of installation, and were courteous and neat. I would highly recommend them!

Rick and his team were very professional and reliable, showing up at our house on time as promised. They replaced our old wooden floor with new solid oak. They removed old carpeting and flooring and disposed of same. The project was done in a timely fashion and we were extremely satisfied with the finished product. We would definitely recommend this company.

I am thanking Rick and his team for the very honest and timely upgrade to my flooring in my small townhouse unit. He gave great recommendations, offered a place to look at more options outside of what he had. He picked up my order and finished the job in less time than promised. His team cleaned up and were very neat with the finishing trims. They kindly disposed of the old flooring materials as well. Rick came to check out the job and gave us a date for the work to be scheduled. He gave us some very appreciated advice about staining and finishing. Rick's knowledge and understanding of our needs, along with a very clear estimate of the cost of our job sold us on using this company. Eugene and Elisabeth arrived at the time and date promised. They got to work immediately ensuring that our property were properly protected with plastic sheeting. They worked hard the whole time they were in our home and they cleaned up each day leaving the work area in an immaculate state. This team did very high quality work in a very professional manner and I will certainly use this company without reservation for future jobs. There is no alternative in my opinion to this company and I am pleased to recommend it.

Rick was excellent at providing a clear itemized estimate. His team did an excellent job, not a second was wasted while they worked, cleaned up after themselves (my garage was cleaner after them than before). No scope creep. One minor thing was that the team had to come back on a third day for a couple of extra hours on top of the estimated 2 days. I will go back to Rick for any flooring job and will recommend to others without any doubt. Thank you for the great job Rick!

Rick, his son Jordan and crew removed the existing flooring and installed new hardwood flooring on the main floor of my home. Rick is a pro. He is knowledgeable, efficient and maintained good communication with me throughout. He made useful suggestions and quoted a fair price which he stuck to (even though there were a couple of unforeseen issues with the job that could have called for an increase in the price). Jordan and crew did a good job on the install and were pleasant and co-operative to deal with. Rick and crew are hard working, knowledgeable and honest tradesmen.
