My husband and I highly recommend Tom Geo of Mega City Roofing, for his highly professional and attractive job on our roof. Tom and crew had just done a great job on our neighbour’s house. He squeezed us in early in the queue as we had damage on our roof- you see the previous times, we got the cheapest offer, which proved to be the most expensive. Previous shoddy workmanship and errors had led to leakage, rot, and flying shingles.
Tom and a crew of 8 professional roofers plus a crew boss showed up as scheduled at 7:30 am on a blazing hot day. The team clearly had been long together, and they had the best gear, including safety equipment. Tarps soon surrounded our house, onto which old shingles and nails, were quickly dropped, with the old warped strips of 3/8 inch plywood going into a bin. The joists were still sound. In short order, the existing fibre glass insulation was cleared from the soffits, and the entire roof was covered with 4 foot by 8 foot ½ inch sheets of new plywood. They used top quality fibreglass shingles and vents, repositioning the vents to more appropriate places, plus added 2 whirlybirds, as ventilation is essential for an efficient roof. We have a complex roof, but that was not a problem. They had done much more complicated work, as Tom showed us in photos. They were so well organized and proficient, their big crew had the job finished in less than two days, including a complete cleanup.
We also needed the new, modern, fully vented soffits, plus new eavestroughs designed to fit the current drainage standards required. Tom recommended a company he often works with for that, Marcel Drake of C & C Aluminum, so he arrived next. Marcel added LeafGuard to the eavestroughs as well to prevent plugging problems , which also added structural reinforcement.
So now we have a 10 year warranty on everything, plus an even longer GAF warranty on the shingles. And that includes Tom and Marcel personally coming and fixing it, as a matter of professional pride, in the highly unlikely event that is ever needed. Our top recommendation!
