I called two of the top Home Star rated companies. Only Mega City bothered to call me back. Randy, the Estimator was at my house within minutes as they were in the general area. I agreed to go ahead with Mega City. Tom was polite, chatted and educated me on roof structures and shingle management while we watched the job being done. Not only did they do a fast and clean job removing three layers of shingles and installing the new shingles, Tom hunted down a mysterious leak I had in another part of the house and non-related to the job they were doing.. The water leak had eluded me for years and by using a hose over various sections, he found the leak. Tom also sealed some other areas identified as potential problem makers. He did not charge me for this extra service. For which I am most grateful. He and Jean (seen in the photo I took) were a pleasure to meet. The crew impressed me as well. How many years have I searched for professionalism and honesty? Too many!

Very professional and thorough. Tom went over what was required (including replacement of skylights and updating roof vents) and the various roofing/insulation options available; he was always responsive to questions and concerns. A fairly large (multi-day) job was completed efficiently with great results. Problems that cropped up as the original flat roof was removed were promptly and successfully dealt with; other incidental work went far beyond what was expected. Tom and his crew worked exceedingly hard throughout during difficult conditions (cold and windy) and the final clean-up was very thorough. Highly recommended.

The last storm we had poured through our roof directly onto our baby's crib! The new roof was scheduled for mid to late September but we called Mega City the night of the storm and they managed to come the next day with a big crew, a Saturday no less, and gave us a new roof! Great work, great look. All calls were answered, responded to quickly, with a professional, knowledgeable person at the other end. The crew was in by 8:30 am and out by 2:30 pm. I had Mega City put a new roof on my home and also 6 months later a new roof on my commercial building. I can say that Tom and his crew are the best. They started on the day they said they would. They did the work at a very competitive price. Finished on time. Two months after the second roof was installed we had that huge tornado on August 18, 2009 and the water came in. I called Tom at 8am the next morning, by 11 am he was at my place and upon arrived he found that the siding had come loose with the strong winds, and the water had entered via the wall, nothing to do with his workmanship or the roof. Above and beyond his duty, he repaired the siding for me at no charge and with the unwavering willingness to do so. Three things you want from a roofer. a. Quality work b. Reasonable price c. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Tom and his crew on the excellent workmanship and how fast they completed the job. The crew was well equiped with the right tools that ensured their quick completion of the job. Everything was completed as per specifications and I'm impressed with how quickly all was completed professionally as well as excellent workmanship. I would highly recommend anyone to consider Mega City Roofing - I solicited 8 different companies of which Mega City Roofing provided the best quote along with 2 other companies, however I went with Mega City because of their size and also because they had WSIB insurance. Keep up the great work guys! Your all deserving of a job well done!

We recently moved into an 18-year-old house and though we were told the roof had been replaced less than 2 years ago we had water damage to the kitchen ceiling. So began my search for a good roofer. I proceeded to get a few competitive quotes but it was not until I meet Tom that I knew I had found the company I wanted to hire. Tom spent over an hour assessing the roof from both the inside and outside. He was extremely patient, friendly, easy to talk to and offered knowledgeable suggestions. I had a quote by email that very night along with a detailed list of the proposed work to be done. Tom's price, though not the cheapest was one of the lowest I received and we thought it was fair for the proposed work. After I signed the contract we decided to put in a different type of skylight than originally discussed. Tom kindly priced these out for us, cancelled the original order, placed a new order and only charged us a minimal amount for the upgrade. Other companies had indicated that this upgrade would be very costly, so we were thrilled that Tom would do it so reasonably. The roof that was to be replaced was over a one-story breakfast area that projects out from the back of our two-story house. A large bow window on the second floor comes all the way down to this roof line and was scheduled to be completely ripped out and replaced. Below this area is where we had the water damage so it was very important that the window and roof installation be co-coordinated together to insure we collectively had a watertight job. I am pleased to say that it all worked out great! Tom kindly fit us into his busy schedule so both the window and roof could be installed on the same day. The window went in first on a Friday morning (Home Decor Window and Doors were excellent) then early afternoon Tom and his crew showed up as promised to install the roof and the 3 new skylights. He waited until the window installers were done to begin and then stayed past 7pm on a Friday night to ensure the work was done to my satisfaction. Tom was there to assist and over see his crew who were friendly, respectful and a pleasure to have around. A few days after the install and a good rainstorm we got a follow up call from Tom who was checking to see how the roof held up in the rain. I found Tom on this website and I must say everything you read about him is true. I am very particular about who I hire and I was really pleased with Tom and his crew. I have already recommended him to a neighbour who has since hired him and is also very pleased with her new roof. We recently had our entire roof replaced due to a leak. We had a very old roof and now have an entirely new roof which looks fantastic! We would highly recommend this company

Megacity had replaced my roof last year. Mid of July, the storm had brought rain to my room through the door. the reason was the flush over porch was leaking for winter damage. Tom quickly answered my call. the next day, he came to my house and fixed carefully. there was no rain to my door during this week heavy rain. thank you Tom

Tom and his crew replaced our leaking roof. They were really busy at the time, so Tom came by and did a temporary patch for us and then returned in the fall to replace everything. They were very speedy replacing everything in one day. They even brought in extra guys because it looked like it might rain. I would definitely recommend them.
