Friday afternoon, March 20, 2020, following high winds earlier in the day, my wife discovered several pieces of shingles on our driveway. A quick look up at the roof revealed a small patch of bare roofing boards. I contacted a roofer that had been recommended to me, he could not be here for four days, tried another, who was too far away. Then a link to Home Stars popped up on my monitor. I completed the online questionnaire, detailing the problem and submitted it. Within minutes my phone range identifying the caller as MCR INC. The caller identified himself as Tom from Mega City Roofing. I explained the problem. He replied that he could drop over the next day about 12:30 and the cost would be $200.00. The next day, he arrived promptly at 12:45, a quick inspection revealed that a raccoon had torn off a few shingles in an attempt to gain access to the attic.
Tom repaired the damage using two spare shingles that I had on hand. he inspected the entire roof and made two more minor repairs. He inspected the entire roof and assured me that it was in good shape and not in need of replacement. The job was more involved than I had described; Tom stuck to his original price which I topped up .
This is one honest roofing professional who knows the business and does top quality worked. He is GAF Certified Roofing Contractor. GAF is the premium make of roofing materials in North America. I have been a home and cottage owner for close to 50 years with experience replacing a number of roves over the years; I soon determined while talking with Tom that Mega City Roofing Inc. is a company that I would recommend to anyone without hesitation.
