Great furniture store, great prices, great selection and great service! A must for anyone redecorating. From modern to traditional. Great quality. Love my couch from them and am planning to go back and buy more furniture soon.

After reading the reviews here, I was worried about not getting our "in stock" bedroom furniture on the date promised. G. H. Johnson's proved me wrong. The delivery staff were waiting on our doorstep before the delivery time promised when we arrived home. The furniture was as we expected except for a nick on the dresser. I talked to Mark and he offered a tech to come fix it. I am going to just stain it myself but I appreciated the offer and it was good service from him. This company has impressed me and I realize don't believe everything you read; go with your own experience. I really liked the showroom and their furniture stands out as unique in a world of boring big-boxed stores. It was also very refreshing to deal with a family-run business. I would gladly recommend G. H. Johnson's for price, quality, unique selection and service. Also, thanks to Mark for all his help :-)

I recently bought a new Klaussner sectional for my condo at Johnson's, and I couldn't be happier. It was about $500 less than I had seen it elsewhere, and came in about a month. Even when I over-estimated the size of my doorways they made it work - they took it back, dismantled it, and then reassembled it in my place a few days later at no extra cost. Will definitely check back for any new additions.

We went in there three times for a sectional because we had it narrowed down to two they had. When we wanted help it was like finding a needle in a haystack. One old guy actually seemed to be avoiding us (and wasn't serving anyone else either - just wandering away from us) when we did talk to him, he told us the wrong info. Boxing day there was a young sales guy on a personal call as we stood there waiting for him to get off phone. We really wanted to buy here. They beat out Crate and Barrel and every other store we were looking at. THEIR EXCEPTIONALLY AWFUL SALES STAFF PUT A STOP TO THAT AFTER THREE BAD EXPERIENCES IN THE STORE.

We just moved into a new home about a year ago and finished furnishing. We went back out to the local stores to pick up some accent pieces to finish everything off. We had never heard of GH Johnson's but a friend of the family urges us to take a look around - and do I ever wish I had found it before we had bought everything else. The prices were ridiculously low and the selection huge (the showroom is in an renovated warehouse) we picked up some great nesting tables and a few other odds and ends, they ordered them down from their warehouse and we picked them up three days later. We were very pleased, and would recommend you check it out.

We went to Johnson's on a friends recommendation to furnish our recently renovated unfinished basement, which we were turning into a rec room for the kids. The prices were amazing, and we got an even better deal from the owner himself who was working out in the showroom. We had a great experience, picked out about 5 pieces that were in stock and then ordered a Lind sectional - everything was delivered and assembled by their delivery guys five weeks later. It loks lovely and I can't wait to go back for my next project. Thans Pat!

I bought a Rowe Love seat in Oct 2008 and received it just after the 6-8 weeks that was promised. Within that time I was waiting, I called G.H Johnson to inquiry about the status and I was put on hold for over 40mins!. When it was finally time for the loveseat to be delivered, I was told that the delivery would be between 12 - 3pm. GH Johnson did not want to be involved so they provided the cell of their carrier so that I could correspond with them myself. Despite many of the promises for the time to delivery they finally arrived at 9pm and I wasted a whole day waiting around for them! After receiving the loveseat I wanted a quote for a custom cushion and they could not provide a quote until 2 weeks after! Overall, I am happy with the sofa, HOWEVER, terribly unsatisfied with the company! I would not recommend.

On Nov 15th 2008 my husband and I purchased oredered two Rowe chairs for GH Johnsons's and a Rowe sofa from another furniture company in Toronto and were told by both that it would be 6 to 8 weeks devlivery due to the pending Holiday season. On Dec 18th I called GH to find out the status of our chairs, I was told they would pull up the file and give me a call with an update by the next day......did not hear back. The following week of Dec 22 we received a call from the other company letting us know our sofa was in (same manufacturer). Today Jan 9th I called GH to follow-up on our chairs and was told that apparently our fabric choice is on back-order and that they will contact their rep and call me by the end of the day with an update. I'm not impressed that we were not contacted and informed about the delay espcially because I called with an inquiry 3 weeks ago........ Needless to say i'm hoping not to still be waiting for my chairs in a month or two.

We were set to purchase 2 leather sofas and 4 bar stools from another retailer when friends recommended G.H. Johnson's . Patrick was able to source similar quality sofas at half the price we were prepared to pay and , when he couldn't source a similar discount on the bar stools, had them custom made in his shop at less than half the price. Delivery came in the promised 8 weeks , just prior to Christmas, and the delivery men were good enough to relocate our current sofas to the basement to insure that our home was ready for the annual Xmas party-that would not have been an easy task for my wife given my absence due to a business trip. Patrick and his staff, right down to the shipping team , were a pleasure to deal with and the 4 hour round trip to the showroom was certainly worth the time.

I visited GH Johnson about four times before making my recent purchases. The sales lady was pretty patient and offered a great deal of guidance. The store looked disorganized but it did have a good selection of furniture. The sales lady was knowledgeable and had a good sense of design. She was honest and told me upfront if the items were in stock and deliverable within 6-8weeks. Overal i would recommend this store, its no uber design haven however its prices are reasonable and most of its furniture are quality pieces.
