    Heat Pump/Furnace Installation

    No issues with the equipment that was installed. I had the dual fuel system (heat pump + gas furnace) along with tankless hot water tank. Due to my house aging electrical panel, I had to upgrade to 200 Amp panel with Milani to be able to use the heat pump. Gas meter had to be upgraded as well with Fortis BC to accommodate the demands of the home. Many problems from the sales team and customer service representative. 1) When the sales team came for on site visit (Wednesday) they told us that additional vents for the system would have to be run in the ceiling. As we were in the process of renovating the ceiling was exposed which worked out (but was being closed shortly for popcorn ceiling removal and painting). Sales person said that the venting could be done quick (Friday same week) if we got the hot water heater installed as "they had more openings" so then the vents would be roughed in and the ceiling could be closed. Once the deposit was paid the project manager said that there was no way Friday could be accommodated. Installation would have to be done the following week Friday. Sales team provided false information just to get a sale. But I was able to make it work. 2) Customer service can be summed up in one word "Terrible". First person you talk on the phone is totally useless. They can only relay to you the person overlooking your project. If you happen to call during off hours (after 4pm) good luck trying to find out information from them. All they can do is let the project manager know you called. And they don't even call back. 3) Technicians booked for secondary issues after installation are frequently no shows. - I had my gas meter upgraded by FortisBC, but Milani has to come by to hook up the gas meter to the home. I had the appointment booked weeks in advance by FortisBC and Milani was aware of the upgrade day. The day of the upgrade I called to ensure that a technician would be coming and I was assured someone would be coming by 5pm. I get a call later in the evening that the team is still busy with another project and would not be able to come and would have to reschedule the following day. So pretty much had to live in a home with no gas for furnace heating or hot water (weather outside 10 degrees C). - After electrical panel was upgraded to accommodate the heat pump I called Milani repeatedly to configure the thermostat to ensure that the whole duel fuel system was working properly. Called on a Friday and said they couldn't come until Wednesday just to configure a thermostat. So pretty much the week BC has a heat wave I can't even use my air conditioning. Wednesday comes and technician has nowhere to be found. Called in to Milani and of course sales person is useless and unable to tell me why technician is not here. Overall, if you want to have a better experience I would look elsewhere because this company does not treat you like Family. They just want your money then your a second class citizen.

    The tech was knowledgeable, did a good job and pleasant to deal with. He was also funny at times.

    Consistent, Reliable, Knowledgeable Service and Workmanship

    As always, I turn to Milani Plumbing for any of my plumbing problems. From my initial request submitted online, followed by a telephone call by a service representative to determine the most appropriate technician for my work order, to Darren, the service technician, the service provided was seamless and outstanding . Darren was knowledgeable, punctual and friendly. His insight of my the drainage/plumbing issues and recommendations on how to remedy them were invaluable. Would highly recommend Darren and Milani Plumbing.

    Hot water tank replacement

    We wanted to replace our 13 year old water heater before it became a problem. Milani quoted a reasonable replacement (came in under the quoted price), did the job quickly, and left no mess. And Im confident theyre still going to be around for the duration of the warranty.

    Leaky Faucet Nightmare

    AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Story time Milani showed up at 8:10 AM to fix my leaky sink faucet and shower faucet. My technician left at 8:45 to go grab a cartridge. He arrived back at 11:07 took him 10 minutes to install the shower cartridge and then started taking apart my sink. He did all this just to realize he had the wrong sized faucet and it wouldnt fit. So at 12:30 he left, billed me 4.5 hours + cartridge = $928.20. Oh! And he left me sink uninstalled so I had no water in my kitchen! After hours of complaining to customer service, they agreed to refund me 1.5 hours as it shouldnt take that long to get a cartridge, and have Peter (who was great) come out that night and re install my old sink. Heres the kicker. I paid $680 in the end for labour and a Cartridge just to realize tonight as I went to take a shower, their tech installed the cartridge backwards. If I want a hot shower I have to turn it to cold and vice versa. Overall this has been one of the worst experiences Ive had in a long time. They sent me an unprofessional tech with minimal experience and it showed. I spent $680 to keep my original leaky sink and get a shower cartridge installed incorrectly. Yaaay!

    Repair Leak

    Had a small leak in a pipe. Called and Brad from Milani attended the next day. Made the repair look easy. System back up and running. No problems. We had a phone system problem that we will work on with Telus. Second time we have used Milani, both times the work was done professionally.

    Good work

    Kevin serviced our furnace and A/C. He was personable, efficient, and answered all my questions honestly and completely. He was a pleasure to deal with.

    Bathroom Drainage

    Robert came to help me with a drainage problem in my bathroom. He was fast, efficient and friendly. He made sure to explain exactly what the problem was and how I could avoid it in the future, thanks!

    Water supply pipe leaking

    Water supply pipe leaked on the weekend. Monday Adam came from Milano plumbing, I knew its going to be a great day the moment Adam arrived. He assessed the problem, went thru all the details needed to be done. Everything was done professionally. Made my morning couldnt be more happier for what hes done. Thank you for an excellent job well done, gave me so much peace of mind now. The staff at Milano all assisted from the phone call to follow ups. Im go grateful you guys are around we can count on.
