The shower and toilet in our basement were backing up. At the recommendation of an experienced friend, I called New Canadian Drain and Plumbing Ltd. late in the day on Jan. 2. Field manager Shendon arrived on time the next day. He put a snake/camera down the pipes (as far as they could go) and found breaks, leaks and a blocked pipe, all of which I could see. He quoted me a price on replacing the pipes, with the caution that it would be more if the damage went further along to the exterior front. He and his crew arrived first thing the next morning and began the big dig. Short version: the visible damage extended all the way out to beneath our front porch. Once that was clear, Shendon quoted on the extra work. I accepted and the crew started immediately. It was first-class work, imo, with at times five and six people working to get the job done quickly. This included drilling though the front foundation and digging down under the porch. They were all personable and doing their best to allow us a functioning drain system even while they worked. The job was complete after two and a half days. It was a brilliant performance, and I recommend them highly.
