    Laminate Flooring Installation

    I needed to remove carpeting and have new flooring installation in our master bedroom. Sebastian came over and showed us what was possible with hardwood. He suggested laminate would be a durable option for our bedroom usage for my elderly father who uses a wheelchair. Once the laminate was selected, he came and installed the flooring in a day. The work was done quickly and efficiently. Scott who is the manager at Newridge was also able to arrange the installation our flooring ahead of the scheduled date, which helped my father greatly. This is a professional services company that is easy to deal with. I would recommend them and will certainly consider them for any future flooring projects.

    Amazing Results

    We moved into a new home where the previous owners hand sanded the hardwood floors down to the bare wood which may have worked if the floors hadn’t been beveled. As the floors were definitely not the look we wanted we planned to replace them in the longer term. However shortly after taking possession we removed unwanted bookcases that had been left behind uncovering the original floors which were dark cherry in very visible locations. As we could not live with two toned floors and any google solution required the rental of tools we realized professional help was needed. After a thorough review of Homestars we found New Ridge Refinishing. Unfortunately Scott informed us that our “just sand off the cherry stain” fix was not quite that simple and the entire room floor would have to be refinished. When Scott provided the initial quote we thought it was an error. It wasn’t. After Sebastian came to the house to discuss the process and timelines we decided to refinish the floors and staircase treads throughout the house as well as change the staircase spindles, newel posts and railings. We could not have purchased wood for new floors let alone all the extras for the cost of the entire project. If anyone told us before the work started the end result compared to new install would be so beautiful we would have thought they were joking. Sebastian and Joe (spindles, newel posts and railings) looked at our Houzz aspiration pictures and delivered something even better. Sebastian showed us multiple samples of floor stain to ensure he achieved the colour we were looking for resulting in us switching to his recommendation. Joe engaged us as he custom built / installed the newel posts, caps, spindles and railings to meet our exacting standards. The result is stunning. The level of customer service from Scott, Sebastian & team and Joe was phenomenal. Sebastian & team and Joe are masters of their craft and it shows. We would not hesitate to engage them again and are thrilled with the outcome. Our house looks amazing thanks to their efforts.

    Floor refinishing

    I was very very happy with Sebastian and his team. This family business did an incredible job the came in on budget and finished faster than expected. They took a lot of care in our home and the floors look fantastic. Very happy with this job!!

    Incredible job!

    Our century-old home has dark hardwood floors that were badly scuffed in high traffic areas. We wanted to restore them but without doing the whole main floor. Scott was immediately responsive and helpful. Sebastian and his crew did an absolutely outstanding job of math stain and finish. It's impossible to tell where the restoration was done. They both exceeded our expectations by a huge margin. I can not recommend them warmly enough!

    Fantastic Refinishers

    I found NewRidge Refinishing on HomeStars and I'm glad I did. The experience was really great and the end result was incredible. Sebastian, Vinnie and their team did an amazing job. They made solid recommendations regarding stain colours and how to address our handrail (refinish vs. paint). A big thanks to Scott as well for making our tight schedule work! Again, we are thrilled with the end result!

    Stairway to Heaven

    Sebastian and Vinnie and team were great! They took our old 1980's style honey-coloured stairs and banister with the what-used-to-be-white carpet runner and made it look brand new! On time, on budget, cleaned daily and great, personable and reliable. I highly recommend them.

    Replace carpeting and existing hardwood and new stairs

    Scott and Sebastian were amazing to work with. Both Scott and Sebastian were very prompt with their communication. They took the time to explain the entire process and were upfront and detailed with their estimate. From our first meeting, Sebastian seemed very knowledgeable and left a great first impression. After the finished results we are 100% confident we made the right decision to go with Newridge. The new floors look great. Sebastian was also able to match the stain for the stairs to the new floor colour. He was also able to get out all the squeaks in the floor and fixed minor problems with the existing baseboard that he felt was not done right in the first place. Project overall took a week and was done on time and on budget. We would be more than happy to recommend Newridge and especially Scott and Sebastian.

    Floor refinishing

    Sebastian and his crew refinished our main floor hardwood floors. Our floors were in terrible shape but now they look like new. I couldn't be happier. They came on time, did the work in the timeframe they gave and were tidy I would definitely recommend them and use them in the future

    Getting a detailed quote

    I sent Scott a few photos of our house and asked for a quote. He got back to me with a detailed estimation. He is so responsive. I recommend this team.

    Floor refinishing

    We couldn't be happier with the experience we had with NewRidge. To give some context, we'd used another company that was recommended to us by our designer (despite our sense they were fishy). Long story short, they made a total mess out of the hardwood in our family room, living room, and dining room. After a horrific two weeks, we eventually reached a settlement for them to just go away. We we're somewhat traumatized by that experience, so when we set out to find a team to fix them, I reviewed many companies and spoke to several in-depth. NewRidge immediately rose to the top for their professionalism, responsiveness and expertise. Right from my initial inquiry, Scott was extremely helpful and responsive. Recognizing that we wanted to resolve the situation quickly, he dispatched Lory to come out and have a look and talk me through our options right away. She was able to explain step-by-step what had been done wrong the first time and how they would correct it in the future. She was smart, factual and didn't over-promise anything. Our conversation left me feeling educated about the process and confident that I could choose her team. The process from there was fantastic. Lory and her team were extremely skilled and they communicated every step of the way to ensure we were going to be happy with the end result. They were also very considerate of our home and even finished ahead of schedule. And most importantly, the end result was fantastic—exactly what we had set out to achieve. This experience was the polar opposite of our original nightmare experience with the other company. I won't go into how bad that was, but I'll just say that we were SO grateful and appreciative of how amazing Lory's team was, particularly after seeing how bad the process can be if not done right. Don't mess around with a job this big. NewRidge's reviews are great for a reason. Go with these guys and you'll be happy you did in the end. Thank you Scott, Lory and team for bailing us out of a mess and helping us achieve the amazing new floors we always wanted.
