Not only did they upgrade me to a high efficiency boiler and tankless hot water heater, but they also installed rad thermostat valves on our very old rads. It was a large / difficult job but they worked long hours to get it completed on time. The heat is now balanced through out or house. Would highly recommend them to everyone! Thanks.

This is a very difficult review to write… in a nutshell: generally happy with the job done – extremely disappointed and frustrated about the after-sale service, follow-up and call return..i should say NO return call… In details: we bought a house, have to change our water heater, humidifier, install a new lint trap, run a gas line for the kitchen and the BBQ, install new venting for the hood and modify some ducts in the kitchen… Even if they didn’t come as fast as we were hoping, we were satisfy with “the job” – despite an incident with the sales rep that made me lose my mind… (let’s just say that this guy doesn’t know how to speak to customer)… I had to chase (over 10 calls) Northwood and Gary Landry for weeks to ask for someone to finish the job (hook-up my kitchen gas stove to the line & duct cleaning) – I never get any call back and when I finally reached Mr. Landry, he insist that he never got any messages from me and find phony excuses without apologizing and basically make me feel that I was saying the true or that my complain was not justify…. Some compassion and an apology would had settled this, but Mr. Landry seems to feel that he’s always right… How do you run a business like that? No matter what kind of exposure you have (i.e.: Mike Holmes), unsatisfied customers will someday catch on you… A simple call return will have settle this – now I already hired someone to take care of the hook up… and will for sure, hire another company to do our duct cleaning… and will NEVER EVER call Northwood again and you know how it works: you’re happy? you tell 10, you’re unhappy… you tell 100… We dealt with others trades for the last 3 months, and Northwood is the only one where we got aggravated simply because we couldn’t reach and talk to someone in this company who can prove us that they care about our business… The sad part is we are satisfy with the work itself, but the lack of services and the attitude, we can live without for sure… which is a BIG PART of the whole customer experience… don’t you think !

Northwood replaced our old 22-year-old furnace and our 48-year-old water air conditioning unit with new ones (York models). We got a few estimates from different people and everyone offered us something different. We ended up choosing Northwood because they also do their own metal work for the new ducts as well as they gave us a written quotation on the company’s letter head. They completed the work on the appointment date (in 2 days) as per the contract. They were very polite and clean. Thank you Jeremy for explained all the work you have done and in answering all our questions. Northwood has also filled out our warranty papers and sent it in to York on our behalf, which means less hassles for us since the serial number on the furnace is located inside the unit. The only thing that we did not like was that the air conditioning unit did not come with a cover. Overall, we are very happy that we have chosen Northwood and well worth the money. We rate this company a 10 out of 10. Thank you Northwood!

I have been disappointed with the service of this company after getting a high recommondation. I have experience a lack of call backs, follow up, misquotes for price of the jobs and extreme lateness for appointments. For the appointments that were late they did not provide a call to advise. The service tech themselve when they arrive was great but their receiption/backoffice needs a lot of work.

We consulted with a few contractors about redoing the entire heating and air conditioning system of our home built in 1914. There were no air returns on the second floor, and improperly placed heat ducts throughout the house. We even had the furnace relocated in another section of the basement. One company said that they did not want to take on such a large job. Huh! One Big Box company even offered us no payments for a year, plus$. We went with Northwood because of their impecable reputation and a very reasonable estimate and a timeline for completing the job. In three solid 10 hour days their teams installed a top of the line system. A modulating furnace, HEPA filtration system along with a regular filter, humidifier, tankless water heater and an outside air circulation system, a touch screen thermostat and more. The house has never felt so comfortable with a system is so very quiet. We thank Michael, Brian for consulting with us and providing the best system to suit our home. Thanks

Called for a quote prior to arranging the job. Wayne was very thorough, using a detailed questionaire in order to provide an accurate estimate. Wayne and Elvis arrived as promised on Monday and began by doing a thorough review of the system prior to setup. They explained the cleaning process before putting down drop cloths to protect the floors. The work was completed with minimal disruption and a check was done on completion to ensure everything was back in place. Have already recommended this company and have no hesitation in using their services again.

We used Northwood to install a gas line for a new stove and to move a HVAC vent during a kitchen renovation. The company was very professional and organized and we particularly liked the helpfulness and honesty of Brian Landry. The installers who attended to actually do the work were very polite, tidy, and professional. The job was done perfectly in the time they said it would take and for the price that was quoted. I would use Northwood again and would recommend them to friends without hesitation. Well Done.

This company is the only one of several that I contacted that did not have pushy salesmen. The installation crew was exceptional. They worked from 8a.m. until 8p.m. without stopping. My only problem is that I ended up with two air purifiers which which was not requested. I was able to get the service cost reduced because I am out of their territory. They are recommended by Mike Holmes. Call them but make sure you get what you asked for.

To start we had an appointment set to have someone come out and quote. I get a call from the guy that was going to provide the quote stating he was running late. Reschedule? Come on. Gary stepped up to the plate and came out to provide the quote. Fantastic. All qoutes were in and aroung the same ballpark. Attention to detail was great. Drop cloths got put down first and the boys got to work. Brian came out and told the boys to complete A/C first and it was done day one. Complete the rest day two. Great cleanup. Thanks Northwood.

Ductless AC unit installed in an older semi. Process was very smooth. Good communication with sales people. Workers did a great job. Very tidy. Definitely would recommend Northwood. They also did a second installation the day before on a family member's house - different crew but exactly the same stellar performance. Very quick and efficient. Tidy and had good advice on how to set up the systems.
