At our first consultation meeting with Kathy, she helped us plan our renovation projects and visual furniture placement in rooms where a major wall would be knocked down and a doorway closed in. We left that meeting feeling like we were finally making some progress and with a designer hired! Over the next few months, Kathy took the time to listen to our needs and our likes and dislikes. It was actually surprising how quickly she was able to source furniture that met our exact taste. With the renovations underway and with a newborn baby in tow, Kathy and I headed out shopping. Kathy was extremely flexible to work around my schedule and to fit a lot of things into 3 hour time slots. She also sourced a lot of pieces and provided me pictures by e-mail to save time and the effort of traveling around the city. With Kathy's help, I have a house with paint colours that I love and well furnished rooms. She helped with everything from living room, kitchen and bedroom furniture, to rugs and lighting. She also designed a custom wall unit that we are so pleased with. I have already talked to Kathy about our next round of projects that I would like her help with. It was a pleasure working with Kathy of Quin-teriors.

Having previously worked with two different designers it was a pleasure to find Cathy. She actually takes the time to listen and find solutions to decorating that actually work with your lifesyle and budget. Over the past five years she has chosen colours for both the inside and outside of our home. Neighbours and friends have made favourable comments and infact have since used her services. We were never rushed into making decisions and long range plans were made. My husband always says that the initial consoltation fee was the best money he ever spent.

Kathy was great at selecting my floors, I have little or no time to go into showrooms to select, so, based on my specifications, she was able to deliver the look I wanted to achieve, and not only did she do it right but we were also ON BUDGET which I was very adament about. The wood floors were from Vintage flooring handscraped finish, just an awesome look. The kravet drapery work is fantastic, works with the wood floors and all the other accesories she chose. Now my place looks like a million bucks but cost me nowhere near that figure. Thank you very much Kathy, you are a great professional.

I contacted Kathy after reading the reviews on Homestars and also spoke with a few of her references. Although it took some time for my husband to come around who initially could not see the value an interior designer brings, I can truly say that we are thrilled to have met her and have her on board to decorate our house. Kathy helped us in selecting the colours for our entire house and she also got the job for doing the drapes for the formal living, dining rooms, the master bedroom and the kids' rooms. The drapes were recently installed and look stunning. She captured my vision perfectly and turned it into reality!! She has also helped us purchase the rug for the family room and furniture for the bedroom sitting area. Kathy has been an absolute pleasure to work with. Her work ethic and dedication and creativity are amazing and her enthusiasm and personality make it very easy to work with her. I can say that I was not the easiest client to work with as I sometimes did not know what I wanted and changed my mind several times. Kathy was patient with me and understood my need to picture things before making big dollar purchases. She works with what you have and will incorporate your existing furniture and decor into the new scheme which I greatly appreciated. As we have recently moved into our new house, we have several projects planned over the next few years and we will be using Kathy's services for all of the upcoming projects.

We had lots of questions (furniture placement, closet door design, storage solutions) for Kathy and she had great suggestions. Kathy was a pleasure to deal with -a true professional! We would definitely recommend Kathy to anyone who is looking for ideas.

Kathy Quinn is a miracle worker! It has been a real pleasure to work with her for the last year and a half. I had called Kathy as well as a couple of other decorators in for a consult. I showed each the house and tried to give them a feeling for the mood I wanted to create. Kathy won hands down because as soon as she heard that we did not want to paint all the natural wood trim, she went with that. The other decorators were all very insistent that the first thing we needed to do was paint out all the wood. I gave her a "wish list" with a fairly open time-line. She kept checking back to the list and we got almost everything accomplished and checked off. We still have about 3 items to deal with as finances allow. Kathy would bring in a selection of about 4-6 fabrics for any job we were working on and while all were good possibilities I was always able to pick one. Her idea for the fabric in the living room and dining room window treatments was a surprise but it really works! I never would have thought of it but she did and I'm delighted. Kathy is great to work with - always cheerful, optimistic and full of wonderful ideas. I would highly recommend her to anyone wanting to give some life to their home or finish things off. She is creative, efficient, technically knowledgeable and a great person!

When it came time to decorate my living room, I wasn't sure where to start. After meeting Kathy for the first time, she was able to help me decide on a realistic budget and was very patient in helping me determine the style for the room and the types of furnishings, window coverings and accessories that would best suit the space and my lifestyle. I put myself in her capable hands and didn't look back! Her ideas were tremendous and totally express my personality. I now have a home that I can invite people into, that says "wow". Kathy's assistance was invaluable. The furniture is stunning and the layout is perfect. I'm not certain which part is my favorite, but the window coverings certainly pull the room together and are in the most luxurious and decadent fabric, which everyone comments on. The colours she chose compliment everything so nicely as do the accessories she brought in to finish 'the look'. Kathy was a pleasure to work with, professional, prompt, knowledgeable and worth every penny. Everyone asks who did my room, and I've already passed Kathy's information on to many family and friends!

I used Quin-teriors for help in decorating the main floor of my house including color selection, new furniture and placement. Kathy's knowledge of color was very helpful, but other than that I felt the service was not at all worth the cost. There were a lot of ideas tossed around but nothing concrete to work with. Also she was to get back to me with a quote for funiture but after 10 days I still have not heard back. I would not recommend this service.

I was initially reluctant to work with a Decorator because I thought it would be extremely expensive. Having met Kathy, I found out that was not the case. Kathy was able to work within my budget, still giving me everything that I wanted out of my new kitchen. She listens to what you want and somehow manages to exceed your expectations. She is friendly and to the point, never wasting any time. Kathy knows what to do, how to get it done and where to go get it. She is an extremely talented indiviadual and I would reccommend her to anyone looking for a decorator. No job is too big or too small for Kathy. I love my new kitchen! Thanks Kathy =)

Quin-teriors helped me bring my very county-looking living room to a more city formalized comfort level. Having recently moved from the city to a country home I was dissatisfied with the original layout, feeling it to be too country and somewhat outdated. Kathy was able to redesign the appearance of the main focal point, the fireplace, and surrounding light fixtures and window coverings. Once this was completed, it provided the entire tone for further updating of other rooms, such as the kitchen dining room etc. I would highly recommend Kathy to all those looking for that extra flare needed when contemplating an interior redo.
