    paint choice, upholstery,flooring and drapes chosen

    Heather has been a constant source of guidance and knowledge for many years,helping me with decisions about paint,flooring, upholstery,draperies etc. She is also guides me in staging houses for clients.Whether combing through warehouses for fabrics or searching for complementary tiles she is a joy to work with.It's always upbeat and inspirational and turns an overwhelming task into fun!

    Colour Consultant

    I was looking to repaint my main floor and called on Heather who is a truly gifted interior decorator and colour consultant. She has a great sense of colour and is able to bring a room together with great vision. Heather was able to reflect my personality and lifestyle on a very realistic budget. Her imagination and enthusiasm along with her fresh ideas have created a unity to our home which I know is unique. Heather was a delight to work with and her consultation went beyond my expectations. She gave wonderful suggestions and I look forward to working with Heather on my next decorating adventure. I have recommended Heather to many friends and her work says it all. Thanks for decorating our home with love.

    Antiquing of Crown Molding/wainscotting

    We have used Heather of Room by Room several times in the past for colour consultation and faux finishing with 100% satisfaction. So it was only second nature to call her when we moved yet again. Heather helped us initially with room colours when we first moved and more recently with antiquing the crown molding and wainscotting throughout our main floor and faux finishing an oval ceiling in the hall. Everything turned out perfect and actually enhances our home. 5 months later and we continue to get complements. Heather also suggested doing a faux finish of the crown molding in the powder room to look like a gold picture frame. It turned out absolutely stunning! Working with Heather has always been a pleasure. She has a great eye and great ideas, listens well and is lovely and professional.

    Design services for Living Room/Dining Room

    Room by Room is an interior decorating company run by Heather. I hired Heather to help me complete my living room after I parted ways with a previous decorator. She immediately clued in as to what I wanted and brought me fabric samples for drapes, pillows, and a table runner that were my taste and in my budget. She was a good listener and as a result she did not waste my time or hers. She is a good problem solver and came up with a unique solution to opening drapes that were 20 feet high. She has an amazing sense of colour and immediately found the perfect fabric for my sofa after I had tried three times to find the right shade! All work was done in a timely fashion and her prices were reasonable (hard to find in most decorators). And when I moved I used Room by Room a second time. I highly recommend her!!!!!

    building a chalet

    Heather was a delight to work with. From a sample of our log (it is a log home) and the building plans she selected great colours, lighting and carpet. I went into stores and was overwhelmed with the choices but with Heather's help it was fun and five years later we are still loving her choices. Now we have a renovation in Toronto and have turned to Heather once again to make our lives easier and the finished product fabulous. Thanks for all your help.

    Interior paint select for the entire home

    My husband and I wanted our new home painted, but were struggling with colour selection. Heather came highly recommended by friends and in just one hour was able to select colours for 15 rooms in our home! We ended up agreeing on colours that we probably wouldn't have chosen ourselves... once our home was painted we were amazed at how wonderful it looked. Our home looks beautiful... what a change from the builder's paint! Our friends and family love the colours and I have lost count of how many compliments we have received :-)

    Colour Consultation

    Heather of Room By Room helped me select paint colours for our new home 7 years ago...we still love the choices that she gave us. Now we are decorating our new cottage, and Heather once again has provided us with the perfect colour choices. She has a great sense for knowing what will suit the client, and what translates well on a wall.

    Colour consultation, home furnishings, drapery

    Room by room is exactly what we've had to do and Heather has been our consultant the whole way. Heather has the natural ability to identify her customer's needs, their comfort zone of design, and bring it all together while still introducing new colours, concepts and thinking "outside of the box". The end result left us completely satisfied and excited to take our new concept thoughts on to the next project. We'll continue to use and recommend Heather's services.

    Colour consultation and faux painting

    Heather has been our colour consultant, on both our house and cottage, for several years. Her personable character, great taste and "eye" for colour combine with her professionalism to provide spectacular results. Whether being more conservative or more daring, or having your eyes opened to a totally new direction, Heather will work closely with you to help you achieve the look you want. Not only is each room perfect but the flow between rooms is optimized and always maintained between floors. Put a brush in her hand and the results are equally impressive. We totally transformed and updated our kitchen by having our existing cabinetry faux painted. What more can we say, other than we have always been 100% satisfied. We recommend Heather to all our friends.
