Bally and his team at Stoneworks were fantastic to work with. They took the time to understand our vision for the project and executed the design perfectly. The craftsmanship was second to none - and we are picky!! I have no reservations recommending Stoneworks and would use them again in an instant. A+++ job.

Bally and team did a very thorough job. The workmanship is very good and we're very happy with the result. There were some delays and some misunderstanding of the work required, but overall we're satisfied. Bally did what he could to ensure our satisfaction which we appreciate very much.

the project included redoing the veranda, patio around backyard pool and also the front walkway. projected completed as scheduled and to the level of professionalism you would expect from Stoneworks.

The team from Stoneworks were just amazing and truly did a fantastic job with the landscaping of our backyard and the building of our rooftop deck. They were friendly, courteous and so professional plus they left everything neat and tiday at the end of each day. Our back yard looks fabulous and our deck is our "cottage in the city". Can't wait to have them back to do the rest of the backyard next year!

It was amazing to see my home transform "beyond" my vision. In todays world it is hard to find a trustworthy contractor and trust me, I contacted many (6 to be exact). Some tell you what you want to hear, are vague, try to shmoose their way through the discussion and others just don't respect their clients (The I don't need you attitude). I even had one book an appointment with me and never show up. I decided to go with Stoneworks as Bally was very straight forward and honest about what could and couldn't be done, the timing and about the products, right from the start. He was very knowledgeable and really listed to what I wanted. It is a lot of money we were investing and I wanted to feel comfortable with who I was dealing with. I wanted to have the job done right and with no hassels. My gut told me go with Bally and Stoneworks and boy... **I AM SO GLAD I DID!!!** My home was beautifully transformed beyond my expectations and his crew were amazing to deal with. The attention to detail and care that was put into every step is something that is hard to find today. They were pleaseant, very knowlegeable, hard working and very respectful. Even during the heatwave we had,(they were at my place) the momentum never stopped. Bally was always accessible and in constant contact with his team. They didn't take any shortcuts and made sure the job was done right. Under our walkway was trapped water, because the ground was clay and they made sure they dug deeper for better drainage away from the house. They were very honest and made sure the job was done right, for now and for years to come. Now, I love driving up to my home and have had many compliments from the neighbours. Star of the street!! I want to thank Bally and his team... Mike the Rock Star, Gregory, Tony and Paul for all their hard work, care, professionalism and amazing personalities. It is hard to find quality people and quality work in todays world and it was sincerely a pleasure dealing with all of you. Thank you for transforming my home from ghetto to GREATNESS! Last year Stoneworks Contracting and Design had completed all of our interlocking and landscaping needs for the front of our house. This year however, we needed interlocking for around our pool and lawn for our backyard. As the same went for last year, this job was exceptional and I would recommend Bally and his crew from Stoneworks for anyone looking for any landscaping needs.

We had a few contractors come by to quote on our landscaping work. Although Stoneworks was not the cheapest or the one who would be able to start our project the soonest, Bally was the guy we felt most comfortable with. His experience, patience and dedication to doing good work were obvious from our first meeting and every subsequent meeting we had during the planning phase. Our budget was modest and Bally was able to offer suggestions to accommodate. Our project included a new fence and patio in the backyard as well as a new retaining wall and walkway in the front. Once the work started, we met everyone in his crew and they were all terrific – professional, skilled and approachable. They even uncovered a couple of small age-related issues on our house that they were able to quickly remedy. Once the work was complete, we noticed some details that we weren’t completely happy with - Bally immediately came by to take a look and within a few days, had everything addressed to our satisfaction. We’re so happy that we ended up choosing Stoneworks, the quality of their work is second to none.

UPDATE: Have REDUCED my rating for this review. The retaining wall Bally and his team built initially looked great. But I had to call him back in 2010 a week after he was done because when my kid walked on the wall one of the stones literally flipped off. Figured it was a fluke, called Bally and he came out and re-glued it. He had told me the stones would break before the glue came apart on that wall, and he personally guaranteed his work. Well in Spring 2012 (just 18 months later) we found a whole corner section of the wall has become seperated from the rest. You can literally move that whole section with your foot. Have left Bally three messages, got his answering machine, no response back. Am worried now with Winter coming, water freezing in that crack and pushing the wall apart further. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND BALLY. He told me if I posted a good review on HomeStars, he would give me a good price on the next job, but I would NEVER USE HIM AGAIN. Too bad, seemed like a nice guy. ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW - PLEASE NOTE THE NEW COMMENT ABOVE: The retaining wall at the front of our house was old/ugly poured concrete, and leaning dangerously. Bally's estimate for completing the demolition and constructing a new wall was competitive. After getting a few different quotes from others, we decided to go ahead with Bally because he seemed trustworthy, reviews on this site were good, and the price was right. Bally and his crew - Mike, Billy, Paul, and others - were all amazing. They all worked very hard to get the job done, despite the usual unexpected surprises that come with any job. In particular, Mike's artistic skills with stone were impressive, it was amazing to watch him at work. Bally constantly kept me updated with progress on the job, he always returned my calls, and he always conducted himself fairly and professionally - you never got the sense that he was looking to make a few extra bucks by adding on extras. Even though Bally was happy to leave our front lawn as-is, we asked him to regrade and resod the lawn, we were so impressed with his work. Basically, he seems to respect his clients and their needs, and for that reason I would recommend him very highly. Our new front lawn and retaining wall has gotten rave reviews from neighbours and I believe Bally when he says he guarantees his work, and will make it right if any issues arise in the future.

I was debating on selling or redesigning and landscaping my 30 year old house. A friend of mine who recently had his porch done, convinced me to call Bally (Stoneworks) and get an idea on what I can do to improve the look of my house. That was the best move I ever made. Bally was a real genius, professional, courteous and had my best interest at heart. He had many great ideas on designs and types of materials to use to fit the look of my house. Mike the main installer and his crew did a great job on rebuilding my driveway retaining walls, redesigning my walkway, stairs and porch, and adding a flower bed to what was once a boring front lawn. I had no idea my house could look this amazing and as for selling, I'm glad I didn't. Thanks to Bally, my house is the a main attraction on my street. I highly recommend Stoneworks to anyone and everyone who needs a landscaping job done, and done right.

I am a Garden Designer now based in Toronto after 20 years in the UK. I have seen endless contractors at work on both sides of the Atlantic but elect to work with very few as the talents, breadth of skills, reliability, courteousness and most importantly work quality for both hard and soft landscaping must be impeccable. Bally and the team were a joy to discover and are constantly a delight to work with. I constantly recommend them without hesitiation to my clients for projects large and small.
