Review from HomeOwner Review left on 25 Apr 2014Rating: 1 out of 5We have been self-renovating our home over the past few years and were able to purchase the Electrolux fridge we had been wanting at another retailer. After purchase we decided to spring for the stainless trim kit. We gave the salesperson the model number of our fridge and they noted that it had been replaced with a newer model but that the same trim kit would work. Taking their professional experience as that we ordered the kit. Not being at the final stage of our renovation we received the part and tucked it away in the box unopened. Now that we are ready we opened everything up and tried installation. Turns out that the kit does not in fact fit our model fridge but only the newer model. I contacted the salesperson we bought it from and explained our predicament. He checked on the computer and said that Tasco is waiting for 4 identical units to come in for other customers and that it would seem logical that they would simply take ours back and give store credit...EXCEPT...that customer service is only done through the central office now and that I would have to speak with them. I called customer service and was coldly shut down before I even finished my sentence. They would not even entertain taking back the kit since it was purchased over a year ago. I can understand with a fridge or something that has mechanical pieces which are subject to aging but this kit is literally 4 pieces of aluminum...brand new still in the box...and they currently have 4 identical units on back order. I am at fault for not double checking the part the salesperson ordered but their complete dismissal of any responsibility or furthermore unwillingness to work with me to find any type of solution is appalling. As an architect I maintain an ongoing relationship with previous clients and will work with them to address any items that may arise over time. It is good business and it is common sense. Based on this experience I will have no issue at all with recommending that my clients avoid Tasco, unless they want to eliminate all chance of a positive customer service experience in the event something goes wrong.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

We placed order for all of our new appliances with Tasco for the sake of saving time and slightly better discount with buying all items from 1 store. We went in the Richmond Hill store mid Feb 2014, ordered everything within 1 hour, our sales rep Keynes Tam was considered helpful with the pre-sales, however; the nightmare has just begun! We ordered everything to be delivered mid March to accommodate the new house renovation, thinking we have enough time to get everything in before our move, WRONG! Tasco's warehouse was moving at the time, and we were told due to their computer systems not setup or having technical difficulties, our delivery had to be rescheduled 2 days before our move, it was cutting close but we can live with it (note: we initiated the communication). Not until closer to the delivery date, we were told again the LG washer and dryer were back-ordered and will be in the next shipment, which was end of March (again, we initiated the communication). I emailed the sales rep on numerous occasions, and his responses were usually at least 3-4 business days later or no response at all. Fine, we thought it'll be a few days after our move, we can live with that. WRONG AGAIN!! After another dissatisfied email sent out, we were told again, they're back-ordered until Apr 6! At this point, my wife called and left a voice mail with the sales rep to give us an updated ETA, of course we did not hear back from him at all. Finally last weekend, we called the store, and was told by another sales rep that our washer/dryer won't be available until sometime in May due to severe inventory constraint from the manufacturer. I'm OK with manufacture issue, but totally livid about Tasco's customer service, and especially the post-sales experience! I am very upset about Tasco keeping their customer in the dark without any type of attempt to communicate, and perhaps even suggesting alternative options for us (oh boy, this would be a huge step forward from the stone age customer service for Tasco!!)! I went to Billa Appliances in Markham on Sat, was told they have stock on the same LG washer/dryer, and was expecting another shipment soon. I went ahead and bought the same model at a lower price! Washer/dryer were delivered and installed the same day without hassle!! Went back to Tasco yesterday and got my refund, the sales rep told me he was on vacation with no access to email or voice mail! I told him there's a new thing called "delegation"!! This just made me more upset as he did not apologize for his lack of communication (or shall we say "selective response") and poor post-sales customer service, but making excuses for it. The other sales rep that helped me with the refund did apologize though, then again damage already done, Tasco did not help us to relief some of our moving stress and dramatic increased our stress level!! I would not recommend Tasco to any of our friends and family!Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

Can someone at Tasco head office explain to me what is wrong with this picture? I'm fed up with the lack of action and communication I am receiving from customer service at Tasco. I've had nothing but problems with this washer since it landed in my home 2 months ago. I've had a technician over within the first month of ownership. Now I must say the sales agent was very professional and knowledgable but this is ruining the customer experience. Clothes coming out soaked and dirty the way they went in and the noise and shaking is enough to wake the dead. Tasco or Whirlpool get it together and take this lemon out of my home. Why risk losing a repeat customer for a lifetime.Answer from pro:

Andy is wonderful. Has answered my wife's 1000 and 1 question. In the end we ended up with Andy's help, of course, with beautiful apliances that serve our needs and are very functional. Highly recommend Tasco. I found their prices to be very, very good. And since my wife has called for the same items few stores just to get the price, they matched the lowest price and held it for up for about 6 months while we renovated kitchenAnswer from pro:
That's terrific that you had an amazing experience with Andy as your sales person. Please do come back and shop at Tasco Appliance for all your appliance needs! Tasco Customer Service.

My wife and I just bought our first home and we wanted the kitchen to be the focal point of our house. So we decided to go with high end appliances. Naresh at Tasco on Dufferin street made the entire process very enjoyable. We didn't feel pressured And we received great advice. We bought our appliances in the summer, 6 months before our house was built and Naresh passed on price drops and price matches to us without any problems. For high end appliances I would definitely recommend tasco.Answer from pro:
HI Raj, We're please to hear that you had an excellent experience with Naresh at our Tasco store location on Dufferin. We value your comments and thank you for recommending Tasco Appliance to your friends and family. Regards, Tasco Customer Service

I was looking for high end quality appliances for my new kitchen. One of my friends recommended me to check this store .I found great products, they understood my vision and help me choose the right fit. There is a back room with "special priced " products, so if you get lucky you might find a good deal.Answer from pro:

Good at selling, bad at service. Too many issues to describe here, but here is a quick summary: waited all day for morning service,(sent to the wrong address), dropped fridge and waited 2 weeks for new one. Wanted me to pay for rental fridge. Loaner sent was from their employee cafeteria - filthy. Delivered new fridge - didn't cover floor or shoes. A dinner voucher was sent after I complained several times!Answer from pro:

Review left on 3 Jan 2014Rating: 0 out of 5Getting appliances delivered
Tasco is great at selling but I've spent hours on the phone trying to arrange delivery. I have a cheque in hand and am willing to mail it but they need it in hand before or upon delivery of the equipment. The problem is I have the cheque but I'm not at the location it is being delivered to. I work for a large corporation...this is not a residential purchase. I've spent hours on the phone while they purposely ignore me and leave me on hold. The store manager Val said she was too busy to speak with me. My purchase is worth $10,000. They even offered to let me cancel the purchase rather than resolve my problem. Can you believe it? Worst service I've experienced yet. Who tells their customers to go away and cancel their order rather than even trying to fix their problem.Answer from pro:
Hi Mr. Longman. We are terribly sorry about your pre-delivery experience with the Tasco sales location. In terms of method of payment, you can pay cash or with debit card it does not necessarily need to be by certified cheque. If you have further questions or concerns please call us at 416 642 5600. Regards, Tasco Customer Service

Thinking Tasco? Think again! Thinking of purchasing their warranty? Again, not worth it. Tasco on Dufferin sold us their extended warranty on the 4 kitchen applianaces we purchased. It is now 4 years and since we've made no claims, we are cashing in our credit only to find out that they've changed their 6 months from warranty expiration to 4 without notifying us in writing! Luckily, we kept our original paperwork and provided proof. Now we're faced with another hurdle (which was neither mentioned or provided to us in writing) that we cannot combine the 4 extended warranties amounting to $730 towards our purchase...we may only use 1 per appliance and the lowest valued one. Their sales staff advises that the total amount may be used towards our new purchase...well, false. For a company who pride itself on professionalism, excellence, satisfaction, comfort, etc, I'd certainly say they way we were treated was the opposite of all those and more. To add insult to injury, the free delivery that was offered when we purchase has since been...retracted.Answer from pro:
Hi Lien, Please contact our extended warranty department regarding your comment at 416 642 5600. They will be able to explain how the unused warranty credit works and how it is applied.

I received the worst service that I have ever experienced from Tasco on Dufferin in Toronto and it is still ongoing. I ordered a very expensive dual-fuel range which I was told would take 5-8 weeks. So, I paid 50% and signed the special delivery order and faxed it back immediately. I later discovered, when I contacted them almost 2 months later to confirm delivery dates for other appliances that I had also ordered, that the range order had not been put through because I had not given them a precise delivery date (how one does that with a 5-8 week window was not explained). When I complained to the sales person he argued with me and told me that it was my fault for not understanding their process. I am now still waiting for this delivery. I learned through a conversation with the shipping department that my sales rep had been fired. However, despite the fact that I still have an outstanding order with them, no one bothered to inform me. Emails I sent to this sales person for updated invoices simply went unanswered. I have placed numerous messages through customer service and by direct voice mail with the manager, but she has not bothered to call me back. I guess with their high volume they don’t think that even my spending over $20,000 warrants decent customer service.Answer from pro:
Hi Cheryl, Thank you for taking the time to comment. We have looked up your information in the system and it appears the estimated time of arrival that the distributor will be receiving your range by Dec 6, 2013 via the manufacturer. We are sorry that there is a delay with your order, sometimes as an appliance dealer are at the mercy of the manufacturer and have no control. Once the range is in our shipping department will call you to arrange delivery.-Regards Tasco Customer Service.
