Have now used these guys to move three times. They always show up half an hour early, fast, efficient, careful with our stuff and a pleasure to work with. Everyone who I recommended them to has been very happy with them.

Moved from a condo to a small semi with very narrow stairwells to both the upstairs and downstairs floors. This company is amazing. - on time - respectful of your place and furniture - very hard working They had our condo packed in less than an hour and a half. On moving in it was very hard to fit our couch in but they really worked hard without damaging our walls, stairs, doors or appliances to get it in. It took some creativity but it's in! Other things couldn't fit up the stairs (queen box spring and wardrobe) but they tried really hard and didn't give up until it was obvious that it simply would not fit. They were careful not to damage the walls or stairs when doing this. Overall extremely happy with the service I received and will never move again without Tome Moving Co.

I've used this company at least three times and refer them to everyone I know. They are FAST, careful, polite, friendly and affordable. I highly recommend them for your moving job.

Joe and his team were great movers. I booked it quite a bit in advance, 3 days before Joe called to confirm the time of 8am. They even came early at 7:30. He did a quick walk around to see what needed to be done, asked good questions about things I had forgotten such as certain items that were remaining in the house. There were 4 guys and they worked really hard, they never even took a break, they just kept going. They put everything in the new house where I asked them to, and Joe asked me at the end if I liked everything where it was or if I wanted them to move anything before they left. When I went in the backyard later, they had even hung my planters on all the hanging hooks instead of leaving them all on the ground. Nice touch. The price was reasonable, especially for 4 guys. I just recommended them to my friend who is also moving, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

We used Tome Cartage again for the second time in two years. Joe and John and their team moved us between condos downtown and once again they were quick, reliable, and friendly. They were extremely careful with all of our furniture, and were flexible in the process. Their prices were extremely reasonable (they even rounded down with the total time of the job in the end). In contrast to the sub-par service of many moving companies out there, the Tome brothers are an efficient, reliable moving service that I would recommend again and again. Book early!

Their truck is clean, they offer wardrobe boxes and pack fragile items carefully. Their positive attitude makes the move very pleasant. I would highly recommend them as movers.

I recently moved (house to house) in Toronto using Tome Cartage & Moving. I've never had particularly bad luck with movers, but have read some horror stories, so I read plenty of on-line reviews and spoke to many friends/co-workers before booking my mover. To say I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement. The crew showed up exactly on time and after a walk-about with the crew leader, they set to work. Large items, including 2 heavy oak armoires, were manoevred down a narrow staircase with confidence. The truck was fully loaded in not much more than 2 hours. At the new property, I asked the crew to move existing appliances from the upper floor to the basement. Again, they were happy to oblige and got the job done quickly. I was disapppointed to learn that the narrow winding staircase at the new house meant that the queen box springs couldn't be taken upstairs. I asked about getting them through a 2nd floor window. The crew leader did some measuring, discovered that if casement window was removed, it would be possible to manoevre a box spring through the opening. I borrowed ladders from neighbours, and they got the rest done. Amazing attitude and ingenuity! After about 4 hours, 15 minutes, move was complete. I think I was paying by the hour, but watching the way these 3 guys worked without taking a break (even at my request) made me think it was a flat rate job. Bottom line for me: I paid much less than any other company who gave me a quote and the final bill came in at less than what the company owner had estimated! Not one scratch; not one broken item. I've been raving about this crew to everyone I know at work; to my real estate agent and to anyone who'll listen. Highly, highly recommended!

I was referred to Tome brothers through a co-woeker and they did not disappoint. We moved from Toronto to Barrie in August 2012. We moved a semi-detached 3 bedroom with a 5 week old newborn and they were amazing. 3 guys showed up and they didn't stop at all- so efficient & careful with our items. I thought it would be long b/c of tr drive and they were super fast'. I would totally recommend them for moving to anyone and would use them again!

I hired Tome for the 4th time in 8 years and was highly satisfied with their service again. John and his crew worked fast and carefully. As always, the entire crew was highly professional, courteous and efficient. They worked hard and without break, absolutely no "milking the clock" (as payment was by the hour). No breakage, no scratches. Highly, highly recommended.
