The job was completed in 10 days and the work beautifully done. The price was very fair, the work on the antique chair was tricky but done perfectly with no damage to the fabric (which had to removed. I would certainly recommend Keith and use him again

we had a sofa redesigned and upholstered. fantastic work. my daughter pulled a couple of buttons from the tufted cushion and upper canada repaired and child proofed the sofa at no charge. we are designing a bed at present and will definitely get upper canada to do the work. M. Walker

Keith's work is highly skilled and tasteful. He transformed a frumpy leather sofa with unwieldy cushions into a sleek modern design, using his own dependable judgment to finesse our ideas. His prices are reasonable and he's a delight to deal with.

We needed to have our 25 year old family hand me down sofa brought back to life, Keith added new padding, fixed the brackets and recovered it in a fantastic fabric. He was very professional and informed about his craft, the service was quick and efficient. The finished product was top notch...and the family wanted it back once they'd seen the end result!

My son brought home a sofa covered in teal leather that had been given away at the office, because there were a few rips when the pillows were attached to the back. This would make a nice addition to our cottage, if only the rips could be fixed. My wife found a swatch of matching leather at one of the downtown fabric stores. Armed with this we went to see Keith Sheardown, who has done some wonderful work for us in the past. We were amazed at the quality of his repair work and the low cost. He is a true craftsman who takes pride in his work and in customer satisfaction. The sofa looks great at the cottage, since the repaired rips have been tasetfully camaflouged and strengthened not to rip again. Our next commission for Keith is to make replacement cushions for our sailboat.

Over 30 years ago, we saw an add in the Toronto Star for Upper Canada Upholstery. My parents were moving into a condo and needed several pieces of furniture re-upholstered. Keith came out and gave us a price on the work. We accepted his price and he did the work. An exceptional job and we were delighted! He was a true craftsman! Last year Carole and I purchased a condo in Don Mills. We needed 2 chairs re-upholstered and we looked in the Toronto Star, remembering our positive experience in the mid 1970's. To our surprise there was an add for Upper Canada Upholstery!!!! We called the number and Keith came to our condo and gave us a price which we accepted with delight. The same craftsman did the same high quality work. Over the past year we have had him do work on 2 other pieces of furniture. Always the same high quality work and done on time. A true craftsman of the European school! If you need furniture re-upholstered you will not be disappointed if you use the services of Upper Canada!

This is not the first review I've written about Upper Canada Upholstery, but Keith's work is so exceptional that his firm is worthy of more than one positive review...and this latest job was a few months away from the first time I used Keith's services. In the last 2 months, I've moved from Scarborough to our cottage near Haliburton. But, just prior to the move, I was smart enough to have one more job done by Upper Canada Upholstery...the loveseat that Keith restored (including the padding and other "guts") is now a focal point of our living room up north. Our "cottage" friends, most of whom had never seen our city furniture, seem to naturally gravitate to this cool early-70's, looking-like-new, very comfortable loveseat. They all, to a person, have commented on how gorgeous it is. Even though I'm now living 180 km away, I'll still travel to Upper Canada in Scarborough for any future re-upholstery jobs.

Keith was extremely patient when it took some time for me to chose the perfect fabric from his books. The quality of his work was great, and he was extremely fast. I will definitely use him again.

I discovered Upper Canada Upholstery via the HomeStars website. I wish I'd known about Keith years ago! He took two old chairs...one was an antique, the other just "vintage" (but a favorite)...and made them look better than new. I now get to enjoy them for many years to come, and I'm looking around my house trying to figure out what else I can ask Keith to restore. The obvious pride in his work and attention to detail are rare treasures these days. Thank you, Keith...I've passed quite a few of your business cards out to friends and family.
