    Weed Man

    We have had Weed Man for many years. In the last few years, we were very disappointed with their service. They were showing up two days in a row doing the same service. They didnt seem to know what they were doing. Our lawn was overtaken with weeds and we had grubs The technicians never told us about the grubs. Summer of 2012 we had to replace our entire front lawn. It was costly. When we told Weed Man they never offered any compensation. Although they have called repeatedly asking us to use their service.

    lawn service

    We had the Weedman Service for several years and were disappointed with them. When they came out they always tried to up sell us on another service..ie aeration but would never comment or take action on the amount of weeds we had..even when we pointed it out. We finally gave up and went to a competitor who we are very satisfied with, Yes they continue to call trying to get our service back. I have explained several times that I gave them every opportunity to redeem themselves when we were using them and have no intention ever using their service again.

Weed Man is the only company that offeres unlimited reapplications of all of our services at no charge and I am surprised and also dissappointed that the results were not satisfactory.     Weed application

    The service at Weed Man is terrible and trying to cancel the service is a nightmare and designed to continue to cost you money. Last year they burned my lawn and did nothing to stop the weeds. I told their sales reps who called me repeatedly over the past 6 months trying to sell me other services that I was not interested in renewing my current services for the next year. This year in April Weed Man applied their annual fertilizer to my lawn and charged me for it even though I had told them I cancelled it. The tech who applied it was supposed to have cancelled the service then, but did not. I told them I would not pay for this application as I had previously cancelled. A few days ago another technician came out and sprayed weed killer all over my lawn. He was done before I even realized he was there. Then he rang the door and presented me with another bill. I again told him I had cancelled and would not be paying for this. I had just purchased top soil and seed to fix a large patch on my lawn that was destroyed last year and all the small patches that Weed Man burned in my lawn from their weed killer last year. I called their office number right away and had to hang up after waiting too long for them to answer - I work from home and do not have time for this nonsense. I did some research and found that I will have to wait 2+ weeks before I can seed my lawn thanks to the unauthorized weed killer they applied. That afternoon I called again and after a lengthy wait got through and was told there was no record of my cancellation. I explain the situation and told them that I was not going to pay for the two applications and that I did not want anything more from them. The rep said that she couldn't do anything about the bill. I asked to speak to her manager. As soon as I did that her tone changed and she started giving me attitude and told me he was not available. I ended the call upset because the whole experience has been a nightmare including the customer support I just received. I have not heard back from a manager and doubt I will unless I call in again. I would definitely recommend staying away from this company. Note: I have been forced to edit this submission 3 times because the editors do not clearly explain why they reject your submissions. This website needs to do more to clarify the reasons why they reject customer complaints. It is important that other potential or existing customers hear about the experiences dealing with a company, but if submissions are being censored, then it would appear that the website is setup to favour the companies, not the customers.

    I am sorry that you feel this way. Weed Man is a continous service company from service to service and year to year. On every invoice we leave our customers during the season it states this in bold print were the special instructions are found about the service we had just applied. We also mail out three invoices every year for the upcoming season, one in Sept., Jan. and March stating the order for the season and also a ending date when to contact us if you wish to prepay, change or cancel your program. In this letter we also attached your consumer rights information to make sure all of our customers are aware of the service. At no time was my office contacted to cancel services. If a customer of mine requests not to be on continous service we abid by their wishes and remove them from this service forever, this is usually about 15% of my customers. The weed control Fiesta does not effect grass seed and can only cause possible issues with new seed once it has started to grow.     lawn maintenance

    After being serviced by Weed Man, my lawn was worse than before, in fact the worst ever. And the person on the phone kept denying whatever I said. I DON'T recommend this company.

I don't understand your concern at this time as the date of your complaint would suggest that we have either only appiled a spring fertilizer to your lawn this year or we have not even been out to apply a service this season.     Weedman

    We have been with Weedman off and on during the past 10 years. We were not impressed with them 3 years ago and went with someone differenet. Then Weedman called last year in January and my husband decided to give them another shot. Last September our grass looked discusting with bare patches everywhere and the weeds kept appearing of which i dug them out. Our worst issue was the grubs and after negotiating a deal with Weedman i agreed to pay $90.00 for a grub spray. They sprayed too late in the season and in October our yard looked even worst and the raccoon's were digging every night. Someone from Weedman came and looked at our lawn, saw that we still had grubs and said they would do a free spraying in the spring. I spoke to billings and said that I didn't think I should pay my $90.00 bill until I had a good result with the grubs, they were insisted I had to pay and they charged me interest. I paid the bill and cancelled my contract for 2013. Here is the kicker, I called today to find out when they were going to do my free grub spraying and they stated that I am not entitled to this free spraying as I cancelled my contract, even though it was written down that they were to do the free spraying. The grub spraying was not part of my original contract with Weedman and I am not at all impressed with them not honouring their word. I gave Weedman $90.00 and still have a backyard full of grubs. I have learned my lesson, I hope my husband has.

    weed spraying

    Poor service and the worst thing is they never stop calling our home for business. We have asked them to stop calling but they continue. Stay away from this company.

    Weed Man

    These people just won't leave us alone!!! Used them for a few years then stopped due to cost/poor results and not wanting a contract when we are planning to move. They have phoned us consistently for over a year, being asked EVERY time to take us off their lists. Each time they assure us that will be done and then they call again. Today not one but TWO reps at our door, an hour apart. Both told this is now harrassment. Then, a few hours later, yet ANOTHER call from a salesman. STOP ALREADY!!!! These people never let up - DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH Weed Man - YOU WILL NEVER BE RID OF THEM AGAIN!!!

I would hope that if an issue like this did occur you would contact that company and speak to a Manager to give them a chance to remedy the concern before posting a negative comment on the internet.     Weed and grub spray

    I called Weed Man to help me with my 260 feet of property. I nagotiated a good deal with them and they showed up every time they said they would and even called at least 24 hrs prior to remind me. The problem was i moved to a different home with a much smaller lot and cancelled their service. Every few weeks i would recieve a phone call from them about signing up again. Every time i would tell them the same thing, that i have moved and dont need their service any more. It became extremely frustrating because they all promised they would remove me from their call list, then 4 or 5 weeks later i would recieve another call from them. Because of this i will never use Weed Man again!

    weedman

    Some time in May -11 weedman called me and promised me to get rid of the weeds from my lawn in a week, the biggest mistake I did in this year. The sales person told me to get free service from them and if weed doesnt go in a week, i can cancle my service without pay anything. Weedman came at my place for weed treatment for 1st time, i did not see any improvement in my grass in a week. Then i called and also did email to cancle my service. I have saved all those email. Still after few days weedman came at my place and left another invoice as they did another service but they did not. I called and emailed again as this is a open fraud to left invoice without any service. Anyways they sent invoice one after another with late payment charges. For one service it supposed to be NO PAY since he told me, i end up paid with $ 100. When i called to weedman, the guy(who was saying he is customer service person as well supervisor) said if i dont pay, he will send my case to collection agency. Finally i afraid and paid the amount.

    Weed "control"

    Not sure if it's because Toronto has a pesticide ban or if they do a shoddy job, but this 100% did not work on my lawn. Had it sprayed almost every month this summer along with "fertilizer treatment." Might have different results if you're a 905-er due to by-laws, but it didn't work for me.

    The chemical ban has been in effect in all of Ontario since 2009. I am not sure if you are in my territory and would suggest contacting your local Weed Man to discuss this concern. Working together and being in contact with your local Weed Man will ensure that proper results are noticed throughout the season. In the industry it is not possible to kill all of our weeds but to control the majority of them is. For more details please call your local Weed Man and discuss your concerns in detail please.
