    Burned the lawn, charged money to repair, never delivered

    Simply terrible! They burned some spots on my lawn when applied anti-weed at a wrong time and then suggested fall overseeding. Ok, I agreed and paid for aeration and overseeding. In end Sept the technician came and left a notice that he performed aeration and overseeding and I should water daily for 3 weeks. After 3 weeks of daily watering, I noticed that nothing is growing and called the company. The supervisor (Bernie) showed up and told me that there was a mix-up and they actually didn't do any overseeding. He promised that they will do it in 2 weeks. Nothing was done. I requested a refund, no response. Then Bernie called and promised that they will do overseeding in spring. Well, it's mid April now, so I called them and spoke to Alvin, who introduced himself as a customer service manager. He told me yes, he can see in the notes "complimentary" overseeding but... I need to subscribe for their service plan for a year to be "eligible". So they screwed up last year, charged me almost $300 for a service they didn't deliver and now they want more money...? Ridiculous! All I can say is: stay away from WeedMan!

    Weedman causes weeds

    Had them for 2 yrs.because we're too busy to tend lawn.2 no yr our lawn is covered in weeds .Many phone calls to number for contact.Told there is no supervisor for accounts.So resigned to talk to call service .They placate you and no so,unions other than - you have to tell us there are no weeds - Really ? Told I had grubs .They applied but there was no grubs .Constant harassing phone calls at 8:30 pm night after night to pay remaining bill for grubs Paid bill.4 months later a letter to pay for grubs .They tore up a section of my lawn to check for grubs this week April2017 2 months after paying.Now my lawn looks like a raccoon tore up a 6x6 section . They spot sprayed the weeds.Now my lawn is full of white circles where weeds killed.Doubt They'll resod my lawn which is what I've been left with.Avoid this company like the Plague!!

    WEEDMAN..... NO MEANS NO!

    We used the Weedman a couple of years ago with average satisfaction (no real difference between most lawn care companies). We decided to go another direction with our lawn care and notified the Weedman of our intentions (if you don't call them to cancel, they will continue the service the next year - buyer beware). We started receiving sales calls from the Weedman starting in February of this year. We told them thanks, but no thanks - we have moved on. Since then, we have received approximately 20 phone calls from their aggressive sales team trying to get us back with them. We have asked them to take us off their call list, but they keep on calling. Now if I answer, they do not say anything and hang up (I know your phone number by now you clowns ...but if my wife answers, they act like they have been best buddies for the last 10 years and the sales pitches begin! she ends up giving me the phone where I tell them NO THANKS and then cut them off and hang up. WEEDMAN.... NO MEANS NO, SO PFO!!!

    Total Waste of Money

    We hired the Weed Man to get rid of our weeds and grubs. It cost 360.00 for the summer. They would come on several occasions to spray for weeds then towards the end of the season to treat for grubs. The reason I hired a company is cause the weed killer at stores such as Canadian Tire etc doesn't kill weeds, the weed man assured us that they can get rid of them. Well all I saw on my lawn all summer was weeds, they can't control them. I believe the grub killer worked but grubs came back the following year. Don't waste your hard earned money.

    Why did I not check out these reviews first?! They are low class...

    just got off the phone with customer "service"...I've never been treated so disrespectfully. I spoke with Alvin who spent the better part of 15 minutes trying to convince me that when I called last year to cancel my services (a call that was logged on their end, including a summary of the conversation) ended up cancelling only any additional services and not the base contract! Clearly not the intention or the content of my call to them. After arguing over the semantics of this for a long time he basically suggested that I'm not telling the and that I'm on the hook for $50 in subsequent charges (even though THEY did not cancel the contract as I had requested in the first place!). I flat out asked him is it really worth losing a customer and damaging their reputation just to try to clawback $50? His answer -"I have to pay my technicians". Bottom line- you're paying an average price to get very average work at best, totally unacceptable customer service and harassing frequent calls to "up sell" you!

    Terrible Terrible Service

    they have done a terrible terrible job. They have completely destroyed by backyard by over applying their chemicals - I consistently told them that we had weed problem in the front yard but they kept applying to backyard. It's destroyed to a point we need to replace the entire lawn. Now they keep calling in evenings every wk or so then just hang up. Unbelievable...

    Weeds and more weeds!!

    Our lawn had more weeds this past summer and lots of brown patches. We decided that we are done with Weed Man!!!! I am only doing this review because Weed Man keeps calling every evening to get my mother to sign on for 2017. Come on guys...she's a senior on a fixed income...and she told you 'no thank you' a few times already!!!! Please stop harassing her!!! Also, DO NOT attempt to continue your 'lawn care' in 2017 without our knowledge or consent, as this will be considered Trespassing on your part. Thank you.

    Enough with the calls already - No Means No

    I tried Weedman for one year (2015) and didn't see a bit of difference in my lawn. I cancelled after a single year and went back to doing it myself. The issue I have with this company is the fact that I receive a call from various Weedman representative almost every week offering me a "special deal". Despite my numerous requests to remove me from their call list, the calls continue!

    Terrible!

    I decided to try Weed Man this year and was very disappointed. In July they applied Fiesta anti-weed twice on my lawn (it was 3 days apart) because they mixed up my address with the neighbor. I was very upset not only because they ruined my lawn but also because they double charged me - no apologies received. Finally they sent me a letter that if I don't call to cancel their service by certain date they will auto renew me for the next year as they are a "continuous service company"... I dealt with WeedMan in Ottawa and they were fine. Scarborough franchise is just totally mismanaged, the right foot there doesn't know what the left foot is doing. Avoid!

    General Weed Control

    Our second year using Weedman - did not really see a difference in the lawn from one year to the next. This year we received a sales call and I told the salesperson we were going to be redoing our entire front year in the spring so we didn't want any more services. We still received one more fall weed control, I called Customer Service to find out why and it was clear there was a misunderstanding in the earlier sales call. I thought I had told the salesperson we didn't want any further treatments but my wording when the snotty customer service girl played my call back to me was "no additional services". So they are insisting we pay for the last service. We will pay the last $60 fee, but that has cost the company our business - we will never use Weedman again and will tell all our friends how horrible the customer service was.
