We had just bought a two-bedroom modern condo which we wanted to renovate to look like an industrial loft. The biggest challenge was to remove the ugly popcorn ceiling in the main living space and replace it with a concrete one. Of all the contractors we spoke with, Jason and his team at Renaissance immediately understood the challenge and shared in our vision. More importantly, they built on that vision and knew what had to be done to make it a reality...while keeping to our budget! Jason, Vaso, Julian, and the team got started as soon as we gave them the green light. Even when the work proved to be more tedious and physically challenging than anticipated, they kept on working tirelessly in order to meet our timelines. And they did. In fact, they finished one day early! The result was a beautiful, exposed concrete ceiling that immediately transformed our condo into something closer to an industrial loft. Jason agreed with us when we said that more condo owners should strive for a concrete ceiling rather than old-fashioned stucco! From beginning to end, Jason and his team (yay Vaso!) were professional, courteous, and above all, respectful of our property and our opinions. They completed the job in the appropriate time they had estimated, and even over-delivered by finishing a day early!! Our stucco-free concrete ceiling could not look better. It has exceeded our expectations. Thanks Renaissance, for restoring our faith in tradesmen. We could not be happier.

We recently hired Renaissance Painters to do some extensive redecorating in our home at Bayview and Yorkmills. We had all our hallway walls stripped of the existing wallpaper, plastered and painted. The bulk of the entire home was painted as well, we even had Renaissance install some gorgeous wallpaper that our designer helped us select. All the work was completed on time and on budget and fully exceeded our expectations. Jason and his crew were a pleasure top have in our home and I would not hesitate to recommend them and use them again.

The good: Jason was very professional and very pleasant to deal with. He was very organized, was constantly in touch on the phone and via email and tried to address our concerns when we had some. We were told to send them paint chip code for the paint colours we wanted. The crew showed up on time to start the project when we wanted them to. The bad: We had asked for the stucco ceiling in the living/dining room to be painted. After they spray painted it, the wet stucco started peeling off from the ceiling. We were told that they'd have to scrape the stucco off, patch the ceiling and repaint it as a flat ceiling. Jason said there would be no extra charge for that. We were okay with that, but didn't like the fact that it would extend the project by a day. Then they proceeded to paint the walls. AFTER painting the first coat, they told us that the paint colour we had picked was too light to cover the existing darker colour and that we would need more paint. We were not happy about that. They should have made that realization BEFORE putting on the first coat of paint and suggested a primer instead. We had also asked them to sand and stain the wood deck railing in the backyard. They did not sand it and simply applied a thick layer of stain over the existing stain. Luckily, other than the stain now looking like solid paint, it looked okay. The ugly: The crew came back the next day to finish the ceiling that they had scraped and patched the day before. They had to sand it smooth. They did not protect the work area and as a result our ENTIRE house was covered with dry wall dust!! There was dust in the bedrooms on the second floor, on all of my son's toys in the family room, even inside the kitchen cabinets... simply EVERYWHERE!! They also got paint on the carpet and on the baseboards. They did clean up the paint off the carpet and Jason offered to have them come back to help clean up some more. We had to refuse the offer. We did not want them back in the house anymore and we could not take yet more time off work to babysit them. It took us 3 days to clean up the entire house. I have to say that the freshly painted walls look good and the now flat ceiling looks good as well. But the sloppiness of the crew completely turned us off! If you have the time to babysit the crew full time, then it may work out for you. However, they are professionals and should not need to be fully supervised throughout the project. No, we will not be hiring them again and it is very unlikely that we will be recommending them to any of our friends.

Excellent Service and Quality of finish. We could not have been happier. Please give this company a call, hesitation is not required for Renaissance Painters are excellent. Our office was Painted in a Grey and blue theme to match our company colours and upon arrival every morning it still looks as if it was a fresh coat of paint.

I am so happy with Renaissance Painters' staff and their professionalism and craftsmanship. After a disastrous flood, their men turned a devastated area into a home for me again.Many Thanks for everything!

This is the third time we have contracted Jason, Vasily and the team of Renaissance Painters. The first was a complete refinishing of our kitchen. Jason didn't just look at cabinet colour's but recommended pot lights in the ceiling and glass shelves and recessed cabinet lights which transformed us from OK to spectacular. The second was to refinish radiator covers which now look like Italian furniture. Just now the exterior of the house freshened itself with the guys who worked so fast and hard I thought I was in Europe or somewhere. The guys learned their proud trade indeed in Europe and the results show. They are simply the best!

We recently had the complete interior of our home painted as well as our kitchen cabinets refinished. It was a real pleasure dealing with Jason, Vaso and crew. They are real professionals and take great pride in their work. Their customer service is good. Jason and Vaso are easy to reach and are always available to discuss the job and the details. They might not be the lowest quote you will get, but they back it up with their work. Most of the time you get what you pay for. They completed the project early and were excellent about coming back right away to touch up anything we noticed. Our house and our kitchen have been transformed! Thank you Jason, Vaso and crew.

Jason, Vaso and their entire team at Renaissance Painters are consistently professional and quite pleasant. This is our 3rd job with Renaissance Painters, and we will be using them again.
