We had a poor experience. They painted our walls but didn't take proper care to protect the baseboards and there is paint on several areas of them. When I contacted them about this, Jason told me to call back in a few weeks because they were too busy. I never did because our baby was due then so other priorities took over and so our baseboards still look sloppy. Also they forgot to put us in the schedule when I made the booking, so our job was pushed back a bit. They also ordered the wrong paint colour for one room and tried to charge me for re-painting it and for the new paint - thankfully I had the email proof to show I had asked for the correct colour and they ordered incorrectly on their end. They didn't dispute the additional charge after that, but I was put off that they initially tried to charge me. Anyways, they seem really nice and helpful on the phone and the painter was a nice guy in person, but I have to say I was disappointed with much of the experience.Answer from pro:

I'm very happy with the work that was completed. Renaissance Painters did an amazing job with the painting of my kitchen cupboards. The foreman and crew were very professional and reliable. Their work is outstanding.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

This was my seventh renovation but the first time using Renaissance painters. The experience was by far the best I have ever had. Jason and his team were highly professional and skillful to a degree that can only be reached by years of experience. The quality was excellent, the prices were reasonable, and most important of all, they never let me down. It was a true pleasure to collaborate on this project.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

The Renaissance Painters team was excellent. I recently used them for a re-paint job at a new apartment and everything was first class from start to finish. The team was on-time and worked until the job was completed to my expectations. I am very pleased and would absolutely recommend this company.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

In the basement home area of our house all the walls were literally peeling and falling apart. Paint was thinning out and just falling off revealing the dry wall behind it. We called Renaissance Painters due to the glowing praise and reviews it has gotten and it stayed true to every word. The call was very nice and fast, we got a date of when they'd come, the cost and how long it'd take within moments with no hassle. Once they came they did an even more fantastic job. After about a day or two of work the new repainted walls look gorgeous, as if brand new almost even. The old dirty white is now vibrant and gleaming and I love it. The workers were also professional and very friendly, clearly asking us what and how we wanted the paint to be and any adjusts we may have wanted them to do. Overall I can see why this company has such prestige, it deserves all of it and more for this incredible job well done. For the price it was more than worth it. Would gladly recommend this company to anyone I know that would like to have their homes repainted anytime soon.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

My husband and I were moving from Sarnia to Toronto this past summer. We made contact with Renaissance Painters via phone and e-mail after getting a "reliable" rating from the Better Business Bureau. Jason told Coline that he would be happy to do the job, and provide excellent service. She requested semi-gloss paint throughout and thought that's what we would get. She also requested some additional specialty work on the ceilings but decided against that when Jason's estimate came in far above our budget of $3000. The apartment was painted before we moved in, and because of the distance, and preparations for our downsize and move, we were unable to check out the job before we moved in. Foolishly we paid the full amount of $4,500 requested by Mastercard without seeing the job. There was never any detailed written estimate and we only received a detailed invoice after payment. As it turned out we were horrified and disappointed when we arrived with all our furniture and boxes to find that not only was semi-gloss paint not used as promised, but the painters Jason employed had done a sloppy job--leaving spatters on the floors and window frames which are still visible. An electrical plug in the bathroom was completely painted over, and we had to hire a handyman to install a new plug. The bathtub was used for washing paints. The linen cupboard was not painted as instructed. The painters left the air conditioners on constantly which is not recommended, and may have contributed to difficulties we had after moving in with our air conditioning. When we drew a series of these complaints to Jason's attention he did meet with us. But his promise was to have the same crew come out to do remedial work. We would never have those men set foot in our place again. We also got a painter in our building to have a look at the job and he said he would have been able to do the job for less than half the cost himself. He was working as painter at the Trump Tower. We would never use Renaissance again and would warn anyone else that Jason talks a good game, but his company's work is not consistent. We regret ever hearing about Renaissance Painters. We feel we were overcharged for shoddy work, and our requests were ignored.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

We hired Jason and his team to help refresh our kitchen - new floors, wall paint, backsplash and repainting our cabinets. Everyone was very professional, polite and responsive to our requests. Even when the job was completed and a few touch ups were required, Jason came back no questions asked to ensure we were completely satisfied. I would definitely recommend Renaissance Painters in the future.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

This is the third painting job Renaissance Painters has done for us. As usual, Jason, Vaso and Nick were prompt, efficient and pleasant. We will be using Renaissance Painters again.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

We hired Renaissance Painters to help assist on a large scale public mural and they did a great job. Their employees were professional, knowledgeable, and courteous...plus the job was finished under budget! We couldn't be happier with the results and would certainly recommend Renaissance Painters and use them again in the future.
