    Hot Water Tank Replacement

I had asked for quotes on replacing a warranted hot water tank. One company had given me 3 quotes and said that I could not use warantee due to not being first owner in house. I questioned this fact and called Arpies - they called the manufacturer (and so had I) and verified the information - I followed up when I didn't believe the first company and found the warantee to be valid until May of this year - I had my water tank replaced that day for less money plus they are giving me the $ that the warrantee covers once they receive it. This is a good solid company that has been here for several years - they provide excellent service and are very trustworthy. The price was better even without the warrantee - they were honest and punctual. If I'd have gone with the other company I'd be out the warrantee money therefore costing me approx 1005. plus gst more. If pays to check around and not believe everything you are told.

    Heat exchange

After talking to Arpis after my heat exchanger went they have agreed to cut the cost of install and argue with the manufacturer about the piece that broke. Thanks for standing behind your product and standing up for you're customers.

    Answer from pro:

Hello Luke. I am sorry to hear about the state of the heat exchanger. We do pride ourselves on providing quality service and products as do the Builders we work for. I understand we are scheduled to come out to your home on December 6th to do the work and will do our best to ensure everything functions optimally. Thank you for the feedback. no heat call

Excellent technician. Quickly diagnosed the root cause of my broken furnace, even spent extra time identifying troubled subcomponent to minimize replacement part costs. Then he found a suitable substitute part (capacitor for inducer motor) in his truck and replaced it. All is running again perfectly I will use arpis again for sure.

    replace furnace

I had a water leak from my air conditioning unit that rusted away my furnace and caused a minor gas leak. They were quick to respond and sent an estimator quickly to give us a quote on a new installed unit. Very friendly, and knowledgeable. price is reasonable and they were punctual.

    Furnace replacements

We wanted to use the government rebates for furnaces in 2011 as they were coming to a close. After receiving 3 quotes, Arpi's came in comparably priced for an upgraded unit. They were able it install within a month and they did over 2 days. The installers were friendly, clean and on time, changing into inside shoes at the door to reduce the mess. The furnaces have alleviated the cold zones in the house, the basement and the living room. While these rooms are still a bit cooler, the new furnaces help with keeping a constant temperature. I'm sure just installing new furnaces would have helped this but upgrading the units, with the help of manufacturers rebates, added to this benefit.

    Answer from pro:

Hello Arlie. Thank you for the feedback. In regards to the cooler rooms, please ensure that the vents are unobstructed and you may want to consider running the furnace fan to get consistent circulation. That will help. If there are rooms that are used less, you may also want to consider closing the floor registers that serve those rooms, then that air flow will go to the cooler rooms you mention above. I'm glad you are satisfied with the work. Thank you for the positive feedback. Julie

    Project

We were selling my parents home as they could not take care of it by them selves anymore. Realtor suggested we have the furnace replaced as it was the original for the 50's. Arpi's technician replaced the furnace and humidifier in the time frame that was told to us. The work was nicely done and they cleaned up after themselves to my satisfaction without having me to tell them. I am rather picky when it comes down to things like that.

    Answer from pro:

Hello Ron. I trust the sale of the home went well. Thank you for choosing Arpi's. We appreciate the opportunity to work for you. Picky is good! All the best. Julie

    Maintenance and duct clean

Paid nearly $800 for maintenance and they flooded my basement. We had Arpi's in for maintenance and duct cleaning on Monday. They were there for six hours and they did clean the ducts but said they needed to make some repairs to our humidifier and would need to get parts. They were going to bring them and install them on Wednesday. The repairman on Wednesday (different than on Monday) said that the part he was told to bring would not work and he would need to leave and get a new one. He returned with the new piece and installed it. By Thursday evening we realized that the fully-finished room beside the furnace room was flooded. The carpet is ruined and likely the drywall too. We called Arpi's but were told that since we had turned the water off to the humidifier there was no need for immediate service and they would call back the next day. We are reasonable people but we are having a hard time understanding how a maintenance appointment could result in this kind of damage.

    New Furnace and Air Conditioner

Excellent job by Arpi's. The completed job came in less then what they estimated! Can't wait for summer to enjoy the air conditioning. We would highly recommend Arpi's, sales and service were awesome.

    Air Conditioning Install

**Very impressed with Arpi's service and product.** The technicians were friendly and arrived precisely on time. Since they needed access to our furnace room, they immediately laid down protective coverings on our hardwood floor and carpeted basement stairs. The work was finished in the amount of time suggested. I was asked to complete a checklist before the technicians left, which made sure I had all the necessary information about our A/C product and installation. Thank you Arpi's for a hassle-free process at a great price!

    New furnace

I have been a loyal Arpi’s customer for over 15 years. This is why I felt confident in hiring them to replace my old furnace. Sadly, my confidence in Arpi’s was misplaced in this instance. Julie, I am pleased to see as the president of Arpi’s you read these reviews. I hope you read this review as well because I was told I was not able to speak with you when I asked for someone else to assist in resolving this problem. It is now 6 days after the installation of my new furnace by Arpi’s and the thermostat is still sitting on top of the furnace instead of on the wall upstairs where it belongs. It was only during the final test of the thermostat that the installers said the wiring to the old thermostat was insufficient for the new furnace. This was not noted in the walk through by the project manager while he was estimating the job and it was not noted on the signed Arpi’s proposal and agreement which I was assured was the total cost of the furnace replacement. It turns out the existing wiring would not provide one of the features of the furnace I was sold on – control of the fan at the thermostat. At no time was I advised this would be an issue. There were other problems with the estimate process and the installation that I would be happy to discuss but will not go into detail here. Since the problem with the thermostat, I have received two phone calls from Arpi’s – one from the project manager and one from his manager. In both situations I felt I was treated very aggressively for my position this situation is not my fault and I should not be held accountable for the oversight. Saying things like “you got your thermostat didn’t you” and “what agreement” when I replied that being asked to pay an additional $375 dollars for a wireless thermostat was not in the agreement I accepted. That cost would be in addition to another vacation day I would be required to take to have the thermostat issue resolved. I have never been treated so badly by Arpi’s staff and I am at quite a loss to explain why this is happening now. I am very disappointed in the service from Arpi’s Industries regarding this furnace installation.
