Used to enjoy the selection and advice but when I had a bad experience with my smoker there was no support. I purchases the masterbuilt(poorly built) smoker and had several problems including the inner thermometer failing and the fans not working due to switch malfunctions. When I spoke to the Manager they accused me of not cleaning the smoker even before asking how often I cleaned it, which was regularly. Nor was I offered a deal on a new smoker I felt like I was at the used car lot and was surprised given that I bought my regular BBQ there and purchase charcoal there all the time. It's stuff like this that got me to order my next smoker from Traeger directly and use big box stores that put the customer first.

Purchased my Kamado Joe a few months ago and now have the romance of cooking food over charcoal. I have tried saving a few bucks and buying charcoal at big box stores a few times and never will again. You may ask me why not buy that 30lb bag from Costco for $16? Let me say this, the lump charcoal is probably just poorly loaded and mistreated at these big box stores as is likely decent stuff at a fair price. I just find it disappointing to buy any bag of lump charcoal only to find most of it in crumbs. Only praise for Barbecues Galore, the staff must handle the bags with feathers and pillows. Never disappointed regardless of brands with the size of lump charcoal I have received. After many charcoal discussions with the staff (Mike and Ken) at Barbecues Galore North Calgary I have only grown more confidence in buying my fuel here. The Buffalo brand lump and Jealous Devil are my favourite as they both seem to spark the least when lighting with a torch. For my day to day use Buffalo lump is my go to for a value choice. Jealous Devil is hands down my favourite choice, the bags are waterproof the lump charcoal burns at the highest temperatures and longest of any brand I have tried over the past few months and sparks the least when starting up. I have gone 36hrs at 225 on one basket in my Kamado Joe with no problem. Look forward to giving their new arrival ‘Big Boy’ a run. I love the variety to have on hand paired up with the new organic smoking Woods I picked up as well. Happy Grilling!

Between the supplier and the person I was working with on a custom order I was originally having an awful experience with delayed timelines and not being responded to. That's when Seranda stepped in and everything went spectacularly from there. She worked with the supplier to sort out remaining questions, suggested a discount that was fair, and was extremely diligent at communicating updates and anticipating our needs. We were extremely happy with the resolution and are very thankful with Seranda. She represented your company extremely well.

Had issues with a natural gas fitting after moving in to a new place. Had Phil A. come out and handled it no problem. Easy to communicate with and punctual. Highly recommended

Service that you just can't get at the "Big Box" retailers. Very attentive staff that are there to help you with the massive selection. You may pay a little more, but it is well worth the difference!!

This past week I was considering purchasing a new BBQ and had an opportunity on one that was on sale from a Box retailer, the only dilemma was it was set up for NG. So I went to BBQ Galore and spoke with Troy (asst. Mgr). He suggested a fix for the situation, later that day I recontacted Troy for some advice on the my potential purchase and he suggested that I proceed with the "on sale BBQ" I found and that from a value perspective I was on the right track. Forthright and truthful customer service is what I experienced from Troy at BBQs Galore! often times too rare in my experience. If they way you do small things is the way you do everything, then I would suggest that integrity and what is the best for the customer is how Troy views his business. This was my first experience with BBQs Galore and they will be my go to for anything related in the future.

We decided to convert our main floor F.P. to an enclosed insert and replace our old Valor unit downstairs. Mike Nickle came out and assessed our needs & wants then provided a quote that we accepted. The crew arrived about 1 1/2 weeks later and cleaned the chimney and fireplaces. The fellows doing the install were very respectful of our property and us. The installation process was very professional and tidy. The finished product really accented our front room nicely as well as our family room. The big bonus, no more heat loss up the chimney, yahoo.

The best place to buy a barbecue in the whole GTA. Best prices, lots of selection and service is impeccable. I would recommend Barbecues Galore - Oakville to anyone on the market for a new grill.

We had a bad experience with another local fireplace shop and went to BBQ Galore to see what they could offer. We found a floor model fireplace at an excellent price and got a quote in store. Happy with the price and explanation of the possible install we got the estimator out the next day. His quote was identical to the in store quote. For comparison - the install was $1,200 LESS than the competitor. The fireplace was installed yesterday and it is awesome. Job was done quickly and neatly. We appreciate when installers don't complain about how hard the job is and our installer was wonderful. He also did a BBQ gas line for us a couple months ago and was able to get it under our deck without destroying anything. In the future I am going straight here for any gas install needs.

Very helpful in store choosing the actual fireplace & then installed it. Very friendly & answered all my questions...and I had a lot :) we then went back a few months later & bought our BBQ there & had them install that too. Great customer service.
