The furnace purchased from Reids, has been noisy for at least 4 years. The noise is intermittent so they claim they can't fix it if it doesn't happen when they come. I know exactly when the noise occurs in the ignition cycle but they claim they can't do anything unless they hear it. It sounds like a screech, a slipping belt or grinding gear. I've had them look at it every year when I get my annual cleaning. This year I had done some research prior to the cleaning appointment and asked the tech to look at a video that seemed like it might be my problem and had a lot of good reviews e.g. "Thank you for posting this, you just saved me $900." The tech got a truly disgusted look on his face and refused to look. When I said it would take less than a minute he sneered and said "I'm not looking at your video." Ok so I got rather rude after that. Four years of this run around and no answers and he couldn't take a minute to look at a video!! I have a very difficult time believing I am the only person in North America who has this problem. I think they've just been stringing me along for 4 years. They changed the inducer motor at one point but that did not solve the problem. My sense is that they want to ignore it and then I'll get stuck with the bill when the warranty expires next year. I've phoned the manufacturer's US HO but they claim they've never heard of this problem. However, another local company website states "A faulty blower or inducer motor could cause a screeching noise while your furnace operates." The Reids staff are very nice and polite when all is well but their techs are not great and in this last case extremely rude. So is the office staff when you're tired of being strung along and insist on satisfactory service. My AC is the same brand as the furnace and and there is a loud power jolt each time it goes on that makes me jump if I am in my kitchen adjoining to it's location. This is not my first AC unit. This is not normal. I do not recommend Reid's or the product that they sell.

Reid installed an AC unit and furnace for us. We also referred business to them. Have spent lots of $ on them. It all began with the salesperson intentionally providing deceitful misinformation. He made false claims about the efficacy of the equipment along with promises about heating/cooling that were never realized. We then experienced problems with their installation, follow up service, and the products they installed (Lennox). We had an independent third party professional evaluate the quality of the furnace and install which revealed and identified several serious problems. Reid refused to honour the warranty or to provide proper or professional follow up service due to their errors. Will never use Reid again. I wish we could reverse the referrals we made to them. They do not deserve customers' business.

This service is very professional, efficient and met all timelines for deliverables. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The issue and plans to deal with my air conditioning was explained in detail so that I could completely understand was appreciated. Highly recommended for all your needs.

I called Reid to repair a pool heater, which wouldn't start. It is an older unit and the technician spent time to check it thoroughly and get it going. The cost was reasonable and the service has deferred a replacement, which will be expensive. I recommend this service.

I had to deal with Reid by accident. I thought they were nice at first despite the bad situation, but that was all fake and talk... Not only I am still dealing with the consequences of their mistake, I just learned they are refusing to use their (or don’t have?) insurance and I now need to pay for their damages. My advice: keep your distance from this company.

I had this company come out to repair my furnace after I called a few different providers and there prices were the most fair. They were quick and efficient And within budget. Since that visit I have many pets and chose to have them clean our ducts. They were great.

I used this company for the security system in my home. They are extremely professional and on top of their game. They also have a duct cleaning and heating division that I have also used. I can’t say enough about them. Highly recommend

I had Reid install a new furnace. They did a fantastic job and a great Group of guys. I use them for a yearly Service plan and they clean the furnace also. Thanks for the continued Service and professionalism.

Excellent service during the night after my furnace broke. From the person who answered the phone to the technician that Came out, absolutely great. I would recommend them to anyone looking for an honest and professional experience.
