Roger, the sales person was very informative. He understood our requirements, made appropriate recommendations. It was a pleasure to have him in our home. Since our old AC had recently broken down, and being in the middle of a heat wave, they managed to squeeze the installation of our new AC within just a few days of getting the quote from Roger. The installers (Tom and Brian) were very dedicated to their job. Not only were they hard working, they were also diligent to cleaning up after they had completed the job. They also gave us a rundown of the new system and answered any questions we had. Everyone we dealt with have been eager to please us, are very friendly, not to mention very knowledgeable. Approximately seventeen years ago, I was introduced to an impressive Mike Kelly, sales representative for JC Robinson and Sons Ltd., who sold us a York air conditioner and a York furnace. The installation was well organized, and provided us with years of comfort. They always cordially and efficiently responded to any queries and service requirements. In May 2015, we updated with a Daiken air conditioner and a York furnace. We experienced, as previously, a professional team of individuals. In 2010 Roger Brunet sold us a YORK Affinity furnace and we have been very pleased with our purchase. It keeps our home nice and warm during cold winter months and runs quietly. In 2015, Roger Brunet sold us a Daiken Air conditioner and we have been equally satisfied with its efficiency. Last summer our AC stopped working. Called JC since we have a contract. Tech comes out and tells us the compressor is seized up. Since we knew we would be renovating this summer with a new furnace and AC we did not get it repaired and did without AC all summer. Our renovation contractor sent out his own tech. This tech opened the compressor panel up and hit the reset switch and the AC started working. The JC tech was just too lazy to go outside and take the panel off to hit the reset switch. And he charged us $100. If you still have a contract with JC and the tech tells you your system is beyond repair,GET ANOTHER OPINION FASTAnswer from pro:
At J.C. Robinson & Sons, we take all of our customer complaints seriously. Our records indicate that a year ago on August 1, 2014 we performed a service call at this customer's home on his air conditioner that we installed for him in 1992. He had a service contract on his previous furnace but never on his air conditioner. Our technician discovered the compressor in the outdoor air conditioner unit was not starting. After troubleshooting and removing the outdoor panel he determined that one of the compressor windings was open and not allowing electricity to flow. Our technician noted on his work order that the internal overload was probably the reason the winding was open. This internal overload can take many hours to cool off, and once it does, there is a possibility the compressor can start again, though it is usually a major problem that caused this overload to open in the first place. It was then expressed to our technician that the air conditioner was being replaced the following year as a renovation was planned. J.C. Robinson & Sons has been servicing the Ottawa area for over 90 years. We take pride in our ability to service our customers efficiently and honestly. If this customer had wanted us to further investigate the issues with his air conditioner, we could have returned at a later date to further analyze his air conditioner.

Following a power surge, the fan motor on our furnace got fried. With no air conditioning, our house heated up very quickly. Within a couple of hours of my calling, a representative from J.C. Robinson was at our door to scope out the problem and to provide us with possible remedial options. One of the options was repair but given the cost and the age of our existing furnace we elected to go with a full replacement. Within 48 hours the new furnace was delivered and installed. The technicians arrived on scheduled, took great care to ensure that no damage was done to our property as the old furnace was removed and the new one was carried in. The crew worked efficiently and effectively and demonstrated pride of workmanship. They were polite and professional. Our house is once again cool and comfortable. We would have no hesitation in recommending J. C. Robinson for any cooling or heating needs. A friend recommended JC Robinson when we needed a new air conditioner last year. We purchased a daikin and are very pleased with how quiet it is! The entire process was great, everyone we dealt with was very knowledgeable and professional. We recently had trouble with our furnace (which was not installed by JC Robinson) and since we had such a good experience with the air conditioner decided to give them a call. They had it fixed in no time and again everyone was great, we were really impressed with their efficient, knowledgeable service. I would definitely recommend JC Robinsons!
