    Interior painting

    We have a stairwell that is to high for me to paint on my own. I do not have the ladders etc. that would be used. We asked Handyman Connection to come. The painter was knowledgeable about what would be needed to do the painting of the walls and the ceiling in that area. He explained what would be needed in order to prepare the wall for painting. The painter even went above and beyond by showing me how to correctly do some other painting tasks that I have going around the house. The estimate was firm, and I appreciate knowing in advance how much the job will cost, and that the tradesman is reliable.

    Miscellaneous Plumbing Tasks

    The plumber saw the work that we wanted when he came for the estimate. He saw the additional work that was advantageous for us to do. He explained why it was good to do it, and so we agreed to the procedures. The work was completed as we wanted, in the time that was promised. He cleaned up well after the work was done. I appreciated that the plumber was knowledgeable, explained what was needed, and that the cost according to the estimate was firm.

    Bathroom/Kitchen work

    Jonas did some finishing touches on the plumbing/shower in a new bathroom. He also did a marble backsplash in the kitchen. Great work, very professional! I will be contacting him again in the future for more work.

    I needed my kitchen backsplash replaced and some miscellaneous jobs done around my home.

    I needed some home projects completed quickly when we suddenly needed to list our home due to an unexpected move. The lady I spoke with understood the urgency of the situation and had someone out the next day to give me an estimate and the handyman began work the following day. The work was completed well, on time and under budget. I am very pleased.

    bathroom reno

    The contractor who did our work was professional, skilled and courteous. We have tricky, dated plumbing which he handled skillfully, and the finished product looks great. He was in my home for over a week, sometimes when no one was home, with no issues. He even stayed late one night to finish, as he knew we had house guests coming the next day who would need the bathroom. Thanks Martin! The only thing I didn't like about the process was that the consumer has to go buy and have delivered all the materials (costs in addition to labor). This makes sense when you are choosing fixtures, but I bought the wrong floor adhesive on the advice of a hardware store employee, and the stuff took weeks to dry.

    instal new lighting fixtures

    Light fixtures were replaced in the dining room and kitchen. The technician was very pleasant and capable and did a very good job in the installation. He had previously replaced a lighting fixture in the foyer and I was very pleased with all the work he had done.

    Crown Moulding Installation

    Through Handyman Connection, we were put in touch with Jonas in Edmonton. We have sloped 12' ceilings on which we wanted crown mouldings installed and four other contractors had turned down the project because of the complxity and difficulty of the angles. We were prepared to have Jonas do the same thing but he took it on and showed what a real craftsman can do. We are extremely pleased with the his work, the effect he achieved and would recommend him to anyone contemplating a wood working project.

    WATER DAMAGE AROUND SKYLIGHT

    WATER DAMAGE FROM LEAKING SKYLIGHT. THE WATER DAMAGE WAS CAUSED BY AN ICE DAM CAUSING THE WATER TO BACK UP THROUGH AND UNDER THE SHINGLES. AFTER RESOLVING THE ICE DAM PROBLEM, WE RECEIVED A BID FROM HANDYMAN CONNECTION TO REPAIR THE WATER DAMAGE TO THE CEILING AROUND THE SKYLIGHT. THE CHALLENGE WOULD BE TO CREATE A REPAIR TO MATCH OP THE STIPPLED CEILING INCLUDING THE PAINT. THE JOB WAS COMPLETED OVER TWO DAYS WITH LITTLE MESS AND THE MATCH WITH THE REST OF THE CEILING WAS PERFECT.

    Replace passage door in garage

    We needed the passage door replaced in our garage. It also needed the frame replaced and needed repairs on the floor to fit properly. We had a very nice gentleman come and give us an estimate for the job. The price seemed high to us, but it was a job we couldn't do ourselves so we hired him. He did a very good job, although it took almost 3x as long as he had estimated (the price did not go up with the extra time). He was extremely friendly, personable and professional. If the price were better the rating would be better.

    Electrical Wiring

    This is the second time I have used Handyman connection for electrical work. First in our Condo before we moved and now in our house we just purchased. We need to add some addtional light and outlets into the garage. Contractor was on time and the work was done quickly and professionally. Very happy with the work that was done. I would like to thank Hal H. (contractor)! We appreciate the quality work! This is the second time we have used him and we are happy we did!
