    Powder room renovation: Less than 50 sq ft
    I hired Handyman Connection to renovate my powder room (install electrical washlet and bowl, assembling new vanity, installing an LED mirror and accessories). Mark was very thorough with his work and explained the work very well. The coordination with tradespeople was seamless. I definitely recommend Handyman Connection and will hire them again in the near future for other projects!

    Install or repair acoustic ceiling tiles: Install new drop ceiling...
    Handyman Connection Ottawa responded quickly and set up an appointment within a few days. Chuck Huckabone came out and was very knowledgeable and professional. The quote was very fair and we had a great experience in getting our drop ceiling completed in our basement laundry room. I would highly recommend this company and Chuck for any projects. Chuck was timely, considerate of my home, cleaned up after and removed the garbage. Not to mention the work looks great.

    Install or repair bathroom fixtures: Replacement; Toilet
    Shlomo arrived on time, did a great job, was so pleasant, and gave us a very competitive price. I would definitely hire him again!

    Install or repair electrical sockets and switches: Replacement
    The office was responsive and great with communication when setting up the appointment — very accommodating throughout the process. Just a heads-up: they work with subcontractors, so the person who shows up may vary. In our case, the contractor was experienced, but from the get-go, there was a strong focus on fees and minimum charges. While we had no issue paying for the service, it was a bit off-putting to be reminded of charges before even assessing the job. We booked the appointment in good faith to get things resolved, not to avoid paying. For example, we were charged $40 for a $2 electrical socket. It's understandable there's an upcharge, but this makes me consider getting quotes from other places next time for comparison. Overall, professional office support, but be aware of cost-related conversations upfront and contractors demeanor.

    Hi Aayush, Thank you for posting the review. We value your feedback. It seems overall you had a positive experience, but were a bit concerned with the material charge for an outlet. I see our electrician installed a new GFCI outlet, and they are considerably more expensive than regular outlets. GFCS outlets vary in price from $25 to $56 + Tax. Home Depot doesn't carry a GFCI outlet for $40, so the charge is inline with what a GFCI outlet costs. We do not mark up material. You pay what we pay.

    Repair or maintain fence: Fence or post is loose
    Although my fence was repaired, the workers decided to nail holes into my PVC fence post in order to ensure the fence did not lean while the concrete was setting. Did not consult me about nailing holes into my fence. He suggested a work around to repair the damage, which he returned to do the next day, but only fixed 2 of the 3 holes he nailed into my fence post. Not to mention he just left the wood pieces in my neighbour garden and made a mess of the river rocks on my side of the fence. Also not to mention... they rescheduled my fence repair 2 times stating rain... the first time it did not end up raining that day and the 2nd time it rained... finally came on the 3rd scheduled time. Not a satisfied customer.

    The replacement painter sanded over the drip marks left from the previous painter. Looks much better.
