    Flooring Project

Clearly NuFloors has no intention of admitting to their mistakes and clearly have no desire. Beware of the twists and poor customer service of NuFloors. The understanding and agreement with NuFloors was that once they remove the old flooring, if there are unforeseen work to be done that could not be estimated then the cusotmer (me) would be responsible. I agreed to that. But what happened was that the installer came and didn't attempt to remove any old flooring at all. He stated the obvious about needing 60 more bags of cement than was estimated. If the installer could make an estimate before starting ANY work, why couldn't the estimator??????? Again, after 2 calls with Nufloors staff after job completion, money was not discussed or raised by either men, John or Craig. They just helped themselves to my visa card! After numerous attempts to have the project estimated properly we agreed to a price. I am so greatful that NuFloors admits here in this forum that they under estimated the job! I insisted numerous times to reconsider the estimated 2 bags of cement. I suggested he use a tool besides my dogs ball! Thanks again for admitting you also retained my visa information and used it without my permission. Stores are not allowed to keep your visa number and use it whenever they decide. You have to ask for it again sir. Thanks HomeStar this service works well. Thanks NuFloors for admitting your estimate was wrong. After all my furniture and everything was moved out, then the price was changed by Nufloors due to their poor estimate of leveling cement required. They also estimated this job to be 1 day! I begged the saleman to come back and re-look at his estimate. Beware people, they did hold me hostage on a Friday with company coming to stay from out of country the following week. I was told "Sign for more money or we walk out on you" This was AFTER they came to my home and estimated the project.

    Answer from pro:

It seems clear that after Miss Potvin signed the agreement that included a $1500 discount for levelling, labour and included compensation for 1/2 day of her missing work, she had no intention of paying us. Thank you Miss Potvin for verifying that we provided you with an estimate, an approximate calculation of a job that may or may not require adjustments. Also, once again, a credit card authorization was signed by you for the balance owed permitting us to run your card. Miss Potvin is negligent in advising you, the consumer, that the reason there was $4k added to her job was that her floor required extensive amounts of levelling to make the product she chose be able to be installed and be warrantied by the manufacturer. Once we remove the floor, we have to assess what the correct plan of action to take. Let me be clear, no one forced her to sign the agreement that she signed. Furthermore, the install agreement that was also signed by Miss Potvin clearly stated that payment is required within 48hours of completion to which we put through the payment. We also have recorded phoning her over 5 times to which we received no response to ensure she was aware. Moreover, our accountant can verify that Miss Potvin agreed that the amount owed was "correct and in order" and at only such time that we asked for our remaining payment, she held us hostage by saying "what are you going to compensate me with for my time and energy," and when we responded we felt the install was honoured, she claimed going to lawyer.

    Flooring

We had our floors done. We had hardwood put in the living room and dining room and the hallway. They had great staff and workers. Showed up when expected. They were great at cleaning up after themselves. We would recommend them to friends and family.

2 level home hardwood floors including stairs and material

I used Nufloors last September for a 2000 square foot home and they did a great job. They removed the carpet, took it away, and then installed engineered hardwood floors. I choose a dark color that was their special store-only color and it is gorgeous. They were really professional and helpful and made the process for a single woman who had never taken on a task such as a remodel before very easy. I was happy throughout the process and would recommend their company.

    Installed bamboo floors

I have worked with Nufloors in Coquitlam several times over the years and I have always found their service to be professional, their quotes to be fair and their products to be of excellent material. Recently, I had bamboo floors installed and got a phenomenal price after searching the discount section in the back of the store. The floors cost me $1.75 per square foot and they were a gorgeous dark pure bamboo, it was a great deal. I have been very happy over the years with their service, and I have found Scott who has assisted me to be a great representative of the company. I have never had any problems with them and have always loved the work they do in a timely and professional manner. I would recommend them to anyone looking to have their floors done.

Hardwood, Carpets and Ceramic tile- the whole house!

Nufloors was highly recommended to us by a neighbor who was a very satisfied customer and they really were amazing to work with as part of our home renovations! From the salesperson to the installers, they were more than helpful providing advice regarding product, assistance in getting the best prices, providing detailed estimates and arranging dates for installation. The installers worked late every night to meet our timelines ( without me even asking) and did a wonderful job! The salesperson also checked back with us to ensure that all went well and we were happy with our floors. Great service! Our house looks like new, thanks to all of the staff at Nufloors.

    rug

I was diappointed in the customer service at this company the other day. I chose not to purchase the rug from them as when they learned that my budget was small, they grew disconnected from my sale. I felt they were only interested in helping me if they felt my purchase was large and worthwhile. I had various questions which they answered politely but they did not go out of their way to help me. I would give them another chance but consider carefully my purchase.

    Area Rug

I went to Nufloors in Coquitlam to look for an area rug. My budget was very small and initially they tried to sell me a very expensive, elaborate piece. Once I explained my budget and the reason I need the rug, they quickly showed me appropriate pieces that suited my budget. I would have appreciated it if they had asked me the appropriate questions first, rather than trying to "up sell" me initially.

    Kitchen and bathroom renovation, flooring

We used NuFloors for partial kitchen and bathroom renovations. The flooring was fine. Everything else was contracted out to a handyman who was unqualified to do the work. We eventually had to remove him from the job due to shoddy workmanship. He then threatened to put a lien on our house, even though NuFloors engaged him to do the work and we had already paid him fairly (we weren't looking to be unfair to him). Another contractor was then hired by NuFloors to finish the job. The story doesn't end there. We were taking a shower and the pipes behind our newly tiled bathroom (done by the 1st handyman that was pulled off the job) burst because they hadn't been soldered together (how do you not do that!?), thereby flooding our 3 story house. We contacted the Coquitlam owner of NuFloors, who wouldn't talk with us. We were passed off to our salesman. To be fair, NuFloors did pay for the restoration work. They didn't complete the tile repair in the shower until threatening to report them to the BBB. The restoration work took THREE months. The entire renovation (partial kitchen, 2 partial bathrooms, flooring in kitchen and family room), plus the restoration work took almost 1.5 years. We were told it would be a few months. A complete disaster that I wouldn't wish on anyone. Beware of their contracting services. Flooring was fine.

    Hardwood and Carpet

The staff at NuFloors were all great, particularly Al, who was instrumental in the decision to go with NuFloors. Al was very helpful in selecting a carpet that best suited our needs, including quality, what would hold up best and what would cover dog hair! When it came to choosing the hardwood he educated us on what woods hid scratches better and made our decisions much easier. Overall we were very happy with his assistance and would certainly visit this establishment again.
