CAS sold me a wine fridge that won’t hold wine (Silhouette SWC057D1BSS); And then refused to refund or replace the fridge because I attempted to put wine in it.
I ordered the Silhouette SWC057D1BSS by phone. The fridge was delivered; the delivery guys unboxed the fridge and took away the packaging. I plugged in the fridge and put a couple dozen bottles in the fridge.
I realized quickly that the shelves are not tall enough to open and close while holding many, if not most bottle types.
The shelves will work with straight sided Sauv Blanc type bottles, but don’t fit rounded Pinot, Chardonnay, sparkling, etc.
CAS won’t refund my purchase because they deem I’ve used the fridge by putting wine in the fridge. I had to it wine in the fridge to find out that it doesn’t hold wine effectively. Moreover, CAS requested photos of the issue…which of course I could do without putting wine in there for the photo.
Effectively, CAS has no return policy. And should be avoided as an online or over the phone retailer. I’ll never order another appliance from CAS, and would recommend they be avoided.
