However the sales associate wrote down incorrect model number. Which we did not notice. We were told the wearhouse could hold our stove until we were ready for it as we were in the middle of a kitchen Reno. Only to be called 5 days later and told we HAD to pick it up now. Our kitchen wasnt ready for the new stove so it stayed store in our garage in the box for 2 months. Once we were ready for the stove we hooked it up and found out it was not the induction stove we thought we bought. It was a regular electric cook top. We called Dufresne and went down to speak with a manager and the sales associate. We have only been offered a 25% restocking charge to return the stove. Which is $450. Which is completely unreasonable for a mistake we did not make!!! We had sent emails to the company and have heard nothing back. Dufresne is entirely uninterested in correcting their mistake. We are still waiting for some type of response from the company. I will never purchase anything from this company ever again. I dont know what has happened to this companys standards. They used to be my go to store for anything furniture/appliance related. No more. Below is my original review. I was impressed with their request to review my issue. On August 14 I responded to them. Today, by email, the confirmation for tomorrows delivery was received. So, as nice as it was for them to offer any assistance, it has become apparent that its just lip service. DO NOT ACCEPT ANY SERVICES FROM DUFRESNE UNLESS IT IS CLEARLY WRITTEN ON YOUR INVOICE(S)!! I am a longtime fan and customer of Dufresne. Until now. The sales person I was dealing with told me I could have my dishwasher delivered to the door and the old one taken away. When I got the call about the delivery of the dishwasher I confirmed that they were going to take the dishwasher away and they said no. I emailed my salesman and explained my confusion. One of the people at Dufresne, not my salesman, called to tell me that it would not be taken away even though I insisted I had been told delivery and pick up would be arranged. Customer service dictates an apology for any mixup and arrangements made to pick it up. Oh yes, it is possible. For an extra $115! Its funny how once the sale was made, my salesman became a non-existent person. When I explained my displeasure (VERY POLITELY), all she said was she was sorry but for an added fee (of course) they could pick up. I guess it boils down to the all mighty dollar not your customer.Answer from pro:

We purchased a bedroom suite for our daughter, and paid to have it delivered to our home and placed in her room. When Dufresne phoned to arranged delivery, I asked for a morning delivery, as I took the day off work, and I have kids to pick up after school. When I received the delivery confirmation, it said delivery time 3:30 to 6:30. I phoned Dufresne right away to rearrange this, because this was not what I discussed with their CSR when arranging delivery. The CSR that spoke with me was THE rudest person I have ever encountered. I explained the situation, she said that it was not possible to have a morning delivery, and that they would never have said a morning delivery was a possibility. Her suggestion was to ask a neighbour to come over. REALLY?! To ask a neighbour to come over?? The responsibility to moving in furniture! I almost returned the furniture and went to a different furniture store. I wanted to shop local, however, I will never step foot in a Dufresne location EVER again. I will also tell everyone, that their customer service is appalling, and to purchase elsewhere.Answer from pro:

We purchased a range online on March 26th. It was delivered on April 19thth. The deliverymen were polite and respectful. We saw them carefully uncrate the range in our driveway and carry it into our kitchen and plugged it in. They advised us to not peel off the blue tape until the range warmed up because it would shred. This whole process took about 5 minutes. We didn't wait and removed a strip of the tape. We were horrified to find the range has extensive damage. Both side panels are pulled away from the range. The top is pulled away from the back and twisted. Both sides are bent from whatever force hit this range. 10 minutes after delivery we called customer care and were told "once its landed its between you and Frigidaire." I insisted that I wanted a new range since I didn't buy a scratch and dent model. I explained to them that this range is broken, not defective. They were cold and failed to appreciate that we now had no stove in our home. We were told we'd hear from Frigidaire the next day, Thursday. 5 days later, still no call and no range. Next, I called the store manager, or who claimed to be a store manager. She was equally cold and unresponsive. She just didn't care. I left a message at Dufresne Corporate office. No call back. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau who did contact Dufresne. No response. We have bought much of our furniture and all of our appliances at Dufresne. We were loyal customers. We trusted them. All of this could easily have been avoided if they had sent a new undamaged range. This range is not usable and we don't even have it plugged in out of concern for safety due to its condition. No one at Dufresne cares.Answer from pro:

To Whom It May Concern We recently purchased furniture from your company, and had a really unfortunate experience. We were supposed to have our mattress and stand delivered. There was issues with the paperwork drawn up by Dufresne which ended up with not only preventing our mattress to be delivered, but the delivery people had an argument with my partner who had taken the day off work to be home for the delivery. When I called the store, they told me since our salesperson wasnt in that day, there was really nothing they could do as he was the one to write up the paperwork incorrectly. When I asked to have the person converse with their manager about it, they said theyd call me back but after an hour of waiting I drove down to the store myself. It was then determined that the stand was never on the truck in the first place, and it was suggested I use my current box spring until the once I purchased arrived. My box spring and new mattress arent even the same size. When I brought the issues up by email with our salesman, he basically said there was nothing he could do and to contact customer care. When I inquired on the website chat, the person said they couldnt help and asked me to call in and speak to somewhere. I asked if there was an email address as I prefer email communication and was told there was indeed an email address but it would never be checked or responded to. Then why have the email address in the first place? We were then spoke to customer care and were offered a $40 credit. We stated that would be insufficient at which time we were told theyd have to get approval from a manager and would call us back. More than 12 days later we called and the person on the phone expressed surprise as there was a note on file that an offer was left on our voicemail and we never responded. We never received such voicemail. We were offered $140, but had requested a new pillow. The person on the phone suggested we contact our local store to see if theyd be able to give us a pillow at that price. We reached out, and have yet again been ignored. Were losing our patience at this point. We chose Dufresne for your reputation and unfortunately are sorrily disappointed. Its as if as soon as you got our money, we no longer mattered. Please contact me as soon as possible to resolve this issue. Thank you, I went on your website and sent this exact complaint word for word to the complaint email. I even got a email from you acknowledging you received my complained, that was Nov 23rd at 16:04 I then posted this exact comment yesterday on a different Dufresne page.They deleted my comment and gave me no reply at all! So the employee who caused the issues ignored my email, the official website ignored a complaint email and now an official Facebook page has deleted and ignored a complaint I'm furious!Answer from pro:

Purchased a sectional three years ago. Have now had to file a second warranty claim. After only two years of very minimal use the wooden structure of one of the seats completely broke. The seat had to be removed and taken away to be structurally rebuilt. Now after only three years the finish on the sectional is peeling away. Ive filed a warranty claim yet again and am waiting for two weeks for the sevice center to even look at it. I went to the store directly and was told there was nothing they could do. I find it very disheartening that brand new expensive custom ordered furniture is only made to last two years. This is furniture that has been very gently used. I dont know where else to go with my complaints so I am posting this very poor review of their product and response. I guess we will see what happens after the service people finally get here.Answer from pro:

Corinne was very helpful by showing us examples of the furniture and making the purchase process very easy including the white glove service and additional warranty. Hello, My mother and father in law have been looking for a new mattress for our special needs daughter, Carlyn. They went to numerous places but were so very impressed with dufresne. They met a WONDERFUL sales lady who was so personal and kind. Our daughter has severe autism and is quite rough on mattresses. The lady listened, was empathetic and they could tell how much she cared. She even shared stories of her son (which went to the same school our son goes to) and she also lives in our area. (East St. Paul). They got an excellent deal on the mattress. This is their Christmas gift to her.
