Bathroom remodel
They started on time and finished on time. Unusual for a construction company. We were thrilled with everything. Easy to talk to and figure out plans. The workers were really nice and polite and they didn’t leave any mess. Best of all they said they would finish by a certain date and they did! Would definitely use them again!!

Bathroom Project
Our bathroom renovation experience was excellent. I spent many hours going back and forth with the operations Steve about the work to be done before signing, and he clarified everything top to bottom, including costs and processes. There were several site visits to get everyone on the same page before work got started, which was also reassuring. In the end, the bathroom looks fantastic and works perfectly, and it all came in right on budget. I'll be happy to call To Home Improvement People Inc. again.

Kitchen renovation
We had our kitchen completely gutted and rebuilt; also got new wood flooring throughout our open-concept kitchen/living area and had our wood staircase sanded and refinished. It was a huge job (for us) but the Home Improvement People made it easy. Charlotte the designer helped us make fantastic choices, as she was easily able to understand what we wanted even though we didn't really know what we were talking about. All of the different crews who came to do different tasks were super friendly and responsive to our concerns, and we're very happy with the quality of the materials and the craftsmanship.

Separate suite - basement reno
Made the experience of executing a full scale basement reno virtually stress free. Huge thank you to Trevor and the crew - Tyler, Chris, Christian - who worked tirelessly every day to get the project finished before Thanksgiving. Always available to answer questions and very responsive, Trevor was endlessly accommodating with a smile. On the front end, Philip, Elia and Charlotte took our vision and brought it to life with the final floorplan. Would use HIP again in a heartbeat!

Basement renovation
We bought our first home in March and had issues with the basement from the very first day; plumbing issues and then we discovered mold. It was a nightmare. We have a baby coming and absolutely needed the space. HIP was our favourite from the beginning (they’re pictures are amazing) and they were also the cheapest. Philip was very nice, we went back and forth about what we could afford. He was very understanding. Elia, the project manager, was always available for questions and also very nice. The guys Chris and Carlos did an amazing job with the basement, they were great at capturing our expectations for the renovations and turning it into a reality, they left everything clean and were just great to have during the renovations. We’re in love with the results, we can finally enjoy the space downstairs peacefully. They’re still more projects to do around the house, HIP will probably become our go to contractors!

Main Floor Renovation
We had a great experience working with the Home Improvement People. Charlotte, who was the Designer, was easy to work with and very accommodating. She understood what we wanted and changes and revisions were made quickly. The Contractor, Steve, and his crew on site did a really good job. This could have been a very challenging project as it started in March right as everything shut down. The project continued with a crew of 2 people to keep everyone safe. We had only one trade on site at a time. The Electrician and kitchen installers were also very professional and did great work. We were also working from home dealing with the noise and dust. Even through all of that it only added an extra few weeks to the timeline. We were shut down for a couple of weeks waiting for the Building Inspector to come to site. There was only a couple of things that came up that needed to be changed. Steve was very helpful in providing a solution and changes were made the next day. We are so pleased with the end result. I have attached a few pictures.

Basement Renovation
From start to finish, the Home Improvement People were easy to work with and did a fantastic job with our basement renovation. When Philip came to check out our basement for the estimate, he listened to our concerns, offered great advice and worked with us in terms of the cost of the reno. Once the work started, Eli was great with communication and was always available if we had questions about the renovation process. Trevor, Chris, Ty and Christian completed our reno for us, and they all did awesome work! Trevor was always available to answer our questions as well as offer advice when planning out our basement floor plan. Chris does AMAZING tile work (see pictures attached). Christian took care of all of the electrical work for us and was very easy to work with. Overall, all of the guys we met via our renovation with the Home Improvement People were polite, respectful and did fantastic work. They always listened to our concerns, answered our questions, were all easy to work with and did an amazing job! Now, we have a basement that we absolutely love, and it's all thanks to the Home Improvement People!

deck/front entrance
Project was discussed and completed on time. Workers employed were skilled and professional,completing any phases of the job on time.The result was a result that met expectations. I would definitely recommend Elia and his team for this type of reno... you get what you pay for!

Main floor renovation
The Home Improvement People exceeded our expectations in every way. They removed the wall between our kitchen and living room making our main floor open concept. We got new kitchen cabinets, counter tops, backsplash, an island, new flooring throughout, pot lights, pendant lights, basically the whole room was gutted and redone. It looks exactly how we wanted it to look in fact I think it even looks better! Would highly recommend them. We will be calling them again for our bathroom renovations.
