We did not think that our little condo could look as good as it does now but Ben of the Home Improvement People did an amazing job. We had sold all our furniture and have now virtually only built-ins. Thanks to Ben's great suggestions, the place is elegant, functional and we enjoy it more every day. We have just commissioned The Home Improvement People to do a complete bathroom renovation and have the utmost confidence that this work will be done just as well as the work before. It should be added that all the work was completed exactly in the promised time frame and at a reasonable cost.

Hiiiiii Guys. Here it is. We loooooooooove our new kitchen and main floor. Knowing a good renovator is like a knowing a guy with leafs seasons tickets. So hard to find and so valuable to know. We actually miss the guys in the house, Everything looks sooooo beautiful and we just are soooooo happy. We love the cabinets and you were right about the granite top. It matches perfectly. Extremely organized & professional company; functions like a very well-oiled machine-from start to completion. Work is done in a very timely and fastidious manner. Environment is pristine at end of each day. Excellent lines of communication maintained at every juncture & workmanship is exemplary. The only caveat is that the original estimate is for labour only and you should research the costs of the supplies preemptively etc. to ensure an accurate budgetary estimate of your project with all your wish-list "bells & whistles. " Nonetheless, In picking out suppliers, Home Improvement People were good at referring to very user-friendly sources for lay people like myself. Overall...very pleased & would definitely re-use again .

Kris and his team did a great job on our basement renovation. They were professional, organized, and polite. Kris kept me updated on progress. The fee quote was reasonable and they stayed within budget. Overall, I am very satisfied with their work.

I was very impressed with my initial meeting with Ben . Tim,Moe and Dave were a great team .The bathroom was gutted and then transformed.They were polite and very professional.Their work was outstanding and I valued their input about questions I had regarding the reno.Haydee was very prompt and efficient returning my calls and emails. I love my new bathroom!

The work started on time and the old bathroom was cleared out very quickly and efficiently. The 2 men cleaned up afterwards, removing g all the old components, and vacuumed the carpet in my hallway before they left. From one day to the next I was kept up to date by Kyle as to what would be happening and who would be in my unit to do the work. The job was supposed to take 2 weeks and it finished on time. Every step of the way was done professionally and i was very impressed by the quality of the job. Every day, when the work was completed, the men took the time to clean up and vacuum as much of the hallway as they could before leaving. A special thanks to Kyle who listened to all of my concerns and suggestions, and made a few of his own. I appreciated his input. The new bathroom looks wonderful and I am extremely pleased with the results. Thank you to all involved!!

We recently worked with HIP regarding our master bathroom renovation. What drew us to the company was the volume of excellent reviews both on Homestars and on HIP's website. The company's focus on bathrooms gave us comfort we would be dealing with experts. Like other reviewers have mentioned, from our first meeting with Ben, we were encouraged by the prompt response we received. Haydee in particular was extremely efficient and professional in getting back to us with questions and additional information. Gerhardt who was assigned as our Project Manager is highly knowledgeable and provided great insight into the project. A renovation is never easy and so finding the right contractor is the first step in securing a beautiful finished product.

Fantastic experience with the Home Improvement People. Elia was outstanding. He was extremely responsive, returning emails usually within a half hour. He really went above and beyond what we wanted. The workers were efficient and respectful and did a good job. We would highly recommend this company.

While one of the unlucky ones to get flooded in July, we were one of the few to get our money from the insurance company within 1-2 weeks to redo our basement. So onto the review.... First, know ahead of time that I am very skeptical about (1) contractors in general (so I would only want to hire based on positive reviews), and (2) I don't necessarily trust companies whom seemingly have so many positive reviews - - welcome to the Catch22 of my life. Anyway, seeing Home Improvement People (HIP) have so many positive reviews made me "have" to call them because I felt we needed to book a contractor immediately, (as I was very concerned that contractors would be booking jobs like crazy and my basement would not get done until Fall or Winter). However, still in my head I'm thinking "this company has way too many positives, they can't all be real". Well, after working with them and being so pleased with the final result of our basement....I am now confident those reviews are definitely real. Such a pleasure when the company you choose lives up to its reputation! Dan and his team (Eli & Caio) were frankly & (in complete deference to my skepticism and paranoia regarding the industry) completely reliable, trustworthy, unbelievably easy to work, and get this....they came in on budget and solved little problems when they arose (still doesn't compute in my head :)) I can't believe I'm saying this but I would refer them to my friends and family in a heartbeat without concern that it could ever be a poor referral. These guys know how to run a business and I will tell you, their real secret sauce....."communication". Getting in touch (and most important, getting a response back to us quickly) was super simple with everyone in their company. This made it always very easy and relaxing that everything was being looked after. I don't give out 10's...ever. But they truly deserve it, and frankly, this review was a pleasure to compose (except for the fact that I'm actually kind of annoyed by how good working with HIP was....the experience with them was so wonderful, my wife has now been talking renos on other parts of our house).

This was my second time using The Home Improvement People and again I am impressed by the quality of their work, their professionalism and their problem solving abilities. Ben's advice and quote was right on. I am thrilled with the work they do and intend to use them again for my next project. I have dealt with two different teams now and they are skilled workmen who complete the job in as little time as possible. They are punctual, polite, neat as can be. A call to the office is handled efficiently by Haydee every time. A great organization. Thanks again Ben, Jerry and Max
