This year was terrible for ants, wasps, and mice. The flood in Calgary had driven many of these critters from Fish creek up into higher ground. I had three very large wasp nest, two in the attic of my garage and one in the ground at the front of my house. Also there were ant hills everywhere!! The mice that had evacuated Fish Creek all seemed to pick my tool shed to inhabit lol. I phoned Abell Pest Control and not only did I set up an appointment, but the person I talked to advised me immediately on how to protect myself from the wasps. The Lady I spoke to also explained in detail the yearly packages they offered and that if I was pleased with the single appointment then I could consider a yearly contract. The Technician arrived promptly on the appointment day and dusted, sprayed and placed mouse hotels. Within a week I was mouse and wasp free. The ant population was decreased by 75 - 80%. Needless to say I signed up for the yearly package !! The Technician has been to my house twice more from the initial appointment and I am now free of ants. As far as I am concerned this is A1 dependability and service.

This began June 11 ,I had went all summer with this problem that I did not know I had. I began to get blisters, swelling on my face and hands. I had went to the doctors and Hospital Emergency and no none knew what it was. After being told that there were several possibilities we called Abell Pest Control as per my son who works for an insurance company in Fire/ Water Restoration. They use this company all the time. Customer Service and the technician were amazing in there confidentiality due to the nature of the situation. Everything was cleared up in the time factor that they predicted. I was never so happy as this consumed my entire summer and was not able to have my new grandson to our home. I work for a freight company that requires Pest inspections regularly so I referred this company to my boss. Excellent group of people.

I would highly recommend Abell Pest Control, at least the Ottawa branch that I dealt with. They were extremely helpful over the phone and when the tech (Trevor) came to the house he was very thorough and took the time to patiently explain everything he was doing. I had a major carpenter ant problem and within one day of spraying I have neither heard nor seen any. I'm only sorry that I waited so long to have the problem dealt with, I could have saved myself a lot of stressing about it for nothing. Great service and super people!

We have a nest of wasps living in the outer wall of our house. When we tried to close off the opening, we irritated the colony and my 3-year-old daughter was stung. So we asked for professional help from Abell. The lady on the phone was very friendly, and the technician who came over was very experienced. It's a month now a month after the service, we hardly see any more wasps in the area, and we are covered for another 2 months if we see a problem, which is reassuring. Overall I'm happy with the service and the result, and I'd happily refer them to others.

Was charged almost double than what was quoted. Treatment was minimally effective. Do not return calls and messages. When you do make contact, they tell you a tech will call but doesn't. I got ripped off by using them! My neighbors use One Man and a Lady Bug and are very happy with them.

abel helped me get ride of cockroaches that got into my house, havent seen one in a year. and very happy about that. the are very knowledgeable about all kinds of bugs are are quick to serves phone calls.

They offer an excellent year round pest control service. They respond quickly to "emergencies" and handle routine sprayings quickly and efficiently. I would recommend them to anyone who needs pest control.

Badly organized with no communication between head office (Ontario) and Calgary. Customer falls through the cracks and rodent problem left unresolved. Go elsewhere if you have a rodent problem you need resolved. Quick to respond initially.

when I called they provided advise to ensure the black birds could not come in living space till they could arrive a day or so later. They climbed into the space and removed all nests, after waiting for birds to leave , replaced the vent with a bird proof one (twenty five feet up a vertical wall) and even sprayed a fungaside in the attic and replaced damaged pipes and insulation. i have not had any problem in the six years since.

We had a mice problem in an apartment building and needed some professional care. We called Abell and we did get the professional advice we sought. We chose not to get the package offered as it seemed quite pricey.The attitude and care specialist was very good and did give some helpful suggestions.
