if you are planning to buy house from nuvista just back up now otherwise this is my promise that you will repent on your decision and will remember my post. If you want stress full life just go with them.

That company USE TO be good, they USE TO win awards, this is not the case. They have BBB complaints, haven't won any service awards and have negative reviews all over. I hated the experience of building with this group but if you don't trust my opinion try googling 'NuVista Homes Customer Reviews' the blurb and other searches have a lot of info.

We must say to every calgarian that there is no coordination between the team of Nuvista. They are the worse builder. Never listen to the customers and does not build as per contract and simply say that nothing can be changed. We are sick now.

I'm a little surprised by some of the reviews on here. Our experience from beginning to end was really great. There were a few hiccups during the build, but things happen. All of our concerns were addressed immediately. There are a few things I would have changed about the layout of the model we chose. Things I wish I would have thought about before. My suggestion to future buyers would be to ask to look at a spec or show home of the same model and walk through it. Like, really walk through it... Picture your furniture in it, think about your daily routine, where you put your keys, what your habits are, etc. like I said, I would have changed a few things around just based on our own preferences. All minor things, but they add up to some daily annoyances. We're still in our warranty period, so I'm not sure if I can fully comment since we haven't received all of the warranty "service" yet. What we have received though has been nothing short of fantastic. If I have a question, it's answered right away. If I have a concern, it's taken care of right away or explained to me when it will be taken care of if it doesn't require immediate attention/something else needs to be done first. Either way, the communication is made and to me that's sometimes half the battle. My husband and I will build again. We plan to "move up" and WILL build with NuVista again. We've heard so many horror stories from friends that have built (none of which I will "out" here because its not my personal experience) and are thankful that we haven't had to put up with what they have. To Susan: thank you for your help though out the build process. You are simply amazing. Also Shayleine (spelling?) for your updates throughout the process. Building is an exciting experience and its fun to know each step as it happens. Again, the communication is key! To Tim: thanks for your hard work for all of my husbands emails and phone calls. Your service calls have put me at ease when you so simply explain things to me in laymens terms. You're always friendly and thorough.

I bought a NuVista Homes spec house. I could have expected some of the issues I have had including moisture in the basement, issues with temperature expansion and constraction affecting my drywall, I've had plumbing issues and a minor electrical issue. I know every house has some issues but I am sure mine may be in excess. I would be less likely to complain if their service team cared a bit more and their office management was a bit more professional. If you have the choice of another builder, you may want to review others.

I was very happy I went with NuVista Homes because I was also considering another builder and friends had issues with them. My experience was very good overall, and while there were a couple of hick ups along the way, they dealt with things quickly and I was informed. My sales rep and site manager were great to deal with and always answered my questions. Our whole family loves our new home and the will go back to Nuvista if we ever build again. I think we'll be here for a long time. Great job.

Starting from the sales experience, it was really clear that the sales person wants to maximize her profit. I put in an offer and she blattantly told me it was too low and it won't be accepted. I was adamant that she send it in and it was accepted at the end of the day and for her to say she was surprised. This really left a bad taste in my mouth as I understand as a a saleperson you want to make maximize your commission but you never let customers feel like all you care about is taking the most money from them. Through out the time our house was been built I had to remind them on things even though it is in writing. The service experience is the same as the sales, it almost seems like the culture is to make sure you do the minimum for the customer in order to maximum returns for the company. I always have to remind him things that needs fixing. He always want to brush away issues like they are petty. I believe after spending over $500k I deserve a good house and a little of good customer service. I must say if it wasn't for the Customer Liason Representative, I would have take my business somewhere else to begin with.

Overall there is very little i can say positive about my experience with NuVista, though the sales rep that started on my build was awesome, they have since left, in fact I am surprised at the high turnover in less than a year since the start of my build to the finish (I think this reflects a lot about the company culture and treatment). ANHW has standards for promptness and service, our warranty work is late, items that were promised are not getting completed (simple things). I am not satisfied with this builder and would not tell my friends to use them, I would likely discourage people I know from submitting themselves to a similar experience.

As builders go, Nuvista for the mostpart is one builder I would use again, knowing more on my end will aid in the process in the future, good customer service at sales end, real good 1 year warrenty work

The ease of building a new home with Nuvista was the best part. They were very helpful and great at answeing questions and requests. Great quality and service. Freindly and informative. They were fast and effiecient. We were extremely satisfied and would highly recomend to others.
