Stone Cap for porch
This project was an extension of one that began last year. Todd and his crew constructed our front steps, which are brilliant - and have been replicated in the neighbourhood by other landscapers and homeowners. This year my wife and I asked TWG to cover the concrete builders porch with stone - to match the steps. The project was completed on time, within budget, and looks unbelievable - and again - lots of neighbourhood approval. Also of note, at the start of the project, some stone was glued to the concrete but just didn't look right when we saw it. It was taken up and re-fit to our request - no questions asked. Thank you for this. Todd is great to deal with, Tammy's communication is timely, and the guys working were polite and professional. The site was also cleaned well each day before they left. Thanks TWG.

Backyard Patio
We were looking to have our deck torn down and replaced with a patio area. The area covered was from our gate entrance on the side of our house into the back and across the entire backyard from fence to fence. We had slab steps installed for our sliding door and a door from our laundry room. There were four steps installed total. The ones by the sliding door were four feet each. We had an idea of the area we wanted interlocking on, but no set design when Todd came to give us a review. He came and looked things over. He took measurements and asked what we wanted to use the space for. We explained to him we were looking to have more grass for our kids to play, an area for our grill and table which seats six, as well as a small garden bed by the house. We also had a conduit put in for electrical wiring that we needed for our pond. He quickly drew a design for us that went well with our backyard. He answered all of our questions thoroughly. He left and emailed us a formal quote along with all of the details of the contract including a drawing of the project. We had a few questions and minor additions which he quickly added in for us. Todd returned with the contract for signing and deposit, so we could get onto the schedule. Our work was scheduled to be done at the end of October. Unfortunately, weather delays postponed our work until the end of November. However, the crew got to work and quickly got the project going. They were able to finish everything before the extreme cold hit except for the sodding. They came back this spring to sod. The crew was fantastic, as well as Todd. They checked daily to make sure we didn't have any concerns and if we did they addressed them immediately. Todd was quick to answer all of our questions. This is the kind of contractor you want to work at your house! We are very pleased with our backyard. We love it and are finally enjoying it! We plan on having Todd and his crew come back for some patio work in the front of our house and have already recommended them to friends.

installation of New Slab patio with stone steps
This company definitely knows what they are doing. Crew did amazing job removing the old patio and installing a the new one. Todd made every appointment at the time he said. Many compliments from the neighbors. Now we have to buy better patio furniture to do the new patio justice ! Can’t wait to get more work done.

backyard patio
Todd and Todd and the entire work crew were terrific. They were timely, very neat and creative in design and functionality. We were extremely happy with the work and would highly recommend TWG.

Front entrance, side of house and driveway
We have a corner lot and had the front entrance, the side of the house and the driveway all redone by Todd and his team from TWG Landscaping. I had several contractors provide me quotes for the work to be done. We had some ideas, some mandatory items, but could not envision the end result of what we thought we wanted. Todd came out, listened to us, and quickly provided us with his designs which totally impressed us. His plan and ideas were very artistic and demonstrated a higher standard than all the rest. When we met with him to finalize the deal we felt very comfortable and in no way pressured or felt like we were being sold something from a salesman. Todd contacted us prior to the commencement of the work as scheduled and he was even able to accommodate a requested delay. The work began on schedule, and our property quickly progressed from ‘tear out and dig up’ to ‘Wow look at that!’ The large stones and steps arrived, and our property was transformed into a work of art. Todd’s team was professional, talented, polite, and focussed on the smallest details. They cleaned the site each day and didn’t leave until the road and sidewalks were swept! He even accommodated minor changes we requested during the job. We have received so many compliments from our neighbours and comments like “gee I just did my front last year and I wish I had done something like this”. If you want top quality, great craftsmanship and a distinctive design and not the ‘same old, same old’ for a fair and competitive price, you won’t find a better team than TWG Landscaping. I’m a detail person and TWG blew me away.

Front entrance
We contacted TWG for a quote because we liked what we saw on the company's website. The vision Todd presented for our front entrance plus the ideas he had around stonework were wonderful such as adding a stone pillar. He even met us at the stone yard to help us chose the stones and bricks. He was flexible and accommodating about the design (e.g. we wanted a wider step). The construction did not start exactly on time because of weather issues but Todd kept us up-to-date. When the work started this past May, the crew was here until the job was completed. Todd and his crew were very hard-working, always pleasant and polite plus they cleaned up the site. Our front entrance looks amazing and has literally transformed the look of the front of our house! We are so delighted with the final outcome and superior workmanship, we have signed a contract with Todd to do the side walkway of our house this fall.

Front Porch and Walkway
We are so happy with the work done by TWG that we are planning to use them for many other jobs at our house. We had another company repair our front step a few years back and the job was so badly done, it fell apart the same year. Once we met Todd we knew this was the company we wanted to use. The professionalism was apparent from the first meeting. The guys working on our step were so nice and always left the area clean at night. Our front porch and walkway is so nice that we have neighbours coming up to comment on how much they like it. Todd designed it and even added things that we did not think of. I can not stress enough that this is the company you need to use. We will never use anyone else!!!

Front Steps
We received a number of quotes prior to contacting Todd and Tammy. When Todd showed up at our front door and we all walked outside to see the steps we were looking at replacing, it took about 30 seconds of my wife and I speaking before Todd put us on hold to show us pictures of exactly what we were talking about. Then he pulled up some pictures of another option - which we had initially discounted due to our assumption of price. In a matter of minutes Todd was able to put together two quotes for the options and we realized that our assumption was unfounded. I write this to show that Todd came to the initial meeting very well prepared - with pictures, references, and was able to quote accurately on the spot. When we were next in the seasonal queue, Todd let us know. Being commuters, my wife and I were unable to watch the project unfold, but the end result was exactly as we had envisioned - and spoken about with Todd. To put it simply, the front steps are perfect. Furthermore, the job site was clean when the project was over - another bonus. TWG's website states that they're not the cheapest contractor in Durham - and that's true - but so is the saying "you get what you pay for". We got timeliness, prompt communication, professionalism, accuracy, and a safe set of front steps. I won't look anywhere else for a landscaping company - I'll phone TWG.

Landscaping
I will definatly recomment this company to anyone and everyone! They were fantastic right from the beginning and cannot say enough about how great they were to work with. From the initial visit by Todd the owner, to the full and complete estimate. He listenned to what I had to say and knew what I wanted, and delivered! My backyard is amazing and doesn't even look like the same place. Wonderful, hardworking crews, with such attention to detail. Got it just right. I definatly hired the right company for the job, and will absolutely use the again!

Front Yard
Originally thought to have a "cheap Concrete" job done by someone else. Then went to check local landscapers and found TWG. Contacted TWG and spoke to Tammy who was very pleasant and set up an appointment. Todd came and provided me with an estimate which seemed fair to me and I contracted him to do the work to redo our front yard and entrance way. They did the work and as promised the work was done in a very professional manner and the quality of the project was excellent. My wife and I are very happy with the work and as a result my next door neighbor had her yard done as well. Both of us and I'm sure my neighbor are very comfortable in recommending TWG for their projects. Thank you, Tammy & Todd, Wolf & Carole B.
