Had coverage for appliance so no need to pay anything for the work done on that day.

    Refrigerator repair

Refrigerator was leaking water on the floor during defrost cycle due to ice buildup in the drain to the evaporation tray. Technician cleared the ice in the drain with a steam gun and then cleared any ice remaining in the refrigerator. Technician was on time, personable, understood what was required. I was very satisfied with the service. The cost was acceptable.

    Answer from pro:

    Sewing Machine

My new Kenmore sewing machine blew a fuse (I now know it was a known problem from manufacturer..fuse too small), and they would not give me the part number, instructions, or help of any kind. The actually took an order for the fuse once I found out the number myself.....then cancelled it without telling me!!! I repeated the process, same thing happened. They were the least helpful company I have ever dealt with. I ended up doing all my own research, finding the fuse and on-line instructions (from their instruction book, posted by a kind person who knew the trouble folks had with them). No wonder they are in trouble!

    Dryer Repair

Worst service experienced by any service company. Technician came without the proper tools and had very little knowledge of the unit. Customer Service was less than helpful when booking appointments, calling for escalations. On two instances, I was placed on hold and disconnected. On another two instances, was transferred to the customer service supervisor only to have the phone ring and ring. Sent multiple emails and posted on Facebook with no response. I will NEVER shop Sears again.

    Washing machine repair

Sears maintenance agreements are horrible. I told customer service that the drain on my washer wasn't working It took them almost a week to schedule a repair appointment . Then the service man comes discovers that the pump isn't working -big surprise! Then intakes almost another wee to get the pump. In meantime our family has no washing machine and thus is on a 3 year old front loader from kenmore. Now it will be Kenmore Nomore for me!

    Washing Machine

The repair guys are friendly and do a great job because we have a warranty but their customer service in terms of making appointments is horrible! They always make mistakes and say they are going to come but they never do.

    vibration with my washing meachin

I purchased over $ 15000 of stuff from sears I had problem from day one the fridge door was dint-ted it took them for ever to change it they brought the wrong stuff from the beginning but worst of all my washing machine vibrates to the point that if i have a glass on my dining table it falls down and breaks i had a technician here he says its normal because my laundry room is on main floor now some one please tells me if thats a good reason most of the new houses have their laundry room on main floor .. why dont they tell me from the beginning their washing machine isnt good for main floor now my WHOLE house should vibrate when i wanna wash a small thing I WILL NEVER EVER STEP inside any sears store I recomand you all to go to another store to buy appliances instead of sears, their service sucks to the point that u lose ur mind .. the supper visor of toronto sears service department you are very rude and u dont even make sense when u talk nightmare dealing with you people ...

set up of home appliances such as fridge and stove

Excellent service, i ordered my appliances on a Monday, by the next day they were at my door around 9am ready to install everything. The workers were very friendly and before they left asked if i had any questions and to not hesitate to call if there was a problem or question.

    purchased appliance

I needed to buy a fridge so went to Sears. They had the fridge I wanted but it was a tight fit so I had to get a carpenter to retrofit it into my kitchen. The next week I saw that they had the same fridge just a bit smaller and it would have fit much better in my kitchen and not had to have the carpenter come in - I wish they had recommended it instead.

    Dishwasher repair

The Kenmore dishwasher we just bought broke down. So we called Sears to use up our warranty and they couldn't get someone for another 2 weekends (the only time we are available to be home). I can't believe I didn't get the repairman's name but he was really nice and took care of the problem. Great service
