    Excellent to work with

    Got What A Pane Inc. from a reference, they were wonderful to work with from the first phone call. Spoke with Barry, he was very informative. Guided me on the selection and explained the process. Completed the work within the promised timeline, had an issue with the new door hardware not fitting correctly on the day of the install, they put the old handles back and came back next day as promised to install the new door handles (On a Sunday). Could not be happier. Highly recommend these folks. I have referred them already to family and friends.

    New Window Panes for Front Doors and Patio Doors

    The sale of your home can present a lot of difficult decisions: should you sell the house "as is" or make necessary changes in order to appeal to a wider group of buyers. What A Pane allows you to rehab old doors with brand new glass inserts and some paint. Barry and team are extremely knowledgeable and patient with my many questions and ultimately helped me pick a stained glass insert that has been the talk of the neighbourhood!! The work on my double front door was so great that 8 months later I used What a Pane to rehab my 2 sets of old French doors to my back patio. Thanks What a Pane for present a great alternative to 20K for brand new doors!!

    Door Insert & Sidelight

    We are so pleased with the mini-blind door insert & frosted side light that Barry & his co-worker installed on our back door. Impressed not only with the product but their professionalism, efficiency & neatness. Thank you Barry for your prompt response to my emails & spending time with us when we visited your showroom - amazing inserts! Love the new look you created for us, much appreciated.

    Great work and great to deal with

    We hired Barry and his team to install 2 full-length glass inserts. They were really great. For example: Responsive - When we were deciding whether to do the project, they were very fast to respond to questions by email. They were happy to quote based on photos/measurements and without any hassle. Emails were very concise. Efficient inserts - What a pane sells windows to your specifications. We got high-efficiency triple pane with argon and low-e. You cannot buy those online or at any retailer. [As an aside, next time I would specify multiple panes with low-e to get the highest efficiency, not just one, which would make them a bit more efficient.] If you are putting a big window in, it makes tons of sense to get efficient ones. Custom sizing - I got windows fit to my door. Some doors (like mine) will not work with the inserts you buy at a retailer. Fast, clean, & quality - The install was fast and clean. All the garbage was taken away. If I had done it, it would have been a bunch of work to get the materials, do the project, and remove the waste. Good price - I do lots of things myself but in this case it was well worth it to pay someone else. We put large clear glass in, transforming the door to a full-width glass door to let in light. Compared to the cost of installing an entirely new door, the inserts were about 1/4 the price (and would have been less if we didn't need a custom size).

    Laser cut door insert

    Very Satisfied with the finished product and with the service before and after the Install. Already recommended to a few friends who were interested the moment they saw the finished product.

    New window inserts

    We came across What A Pane by a Google search. Their website was user friendly and they had the window inserts we wanted. We had to special order the black trims which took approx. 2 weeks but definitely worth the wait. We love the new look! Barry was very helpful and friendly.

    Custom door insert saved after glass broken

    My tenant broke the outside pane of a custom door insert. Other so called "door and window" people told my tenant that the custom insert could not be fixed and that my door and custom side window would have to be mismatched or both completely replaced. I had hired "What a Pane" before and called them to assess the situation. Barry told me the insert was easily saved and created a new sealed unit with the metal work inside. He saved my custom front door and did it for a very fair price.

    Beautiful, private and quick service

    We were referred by a friend and Barry was prompt in getting back to us! We appreciated his knowledge and expertise and he was very reliable. We moved into a new home with full glass doors and was looking for much needed privacy. Barry and his colleague were on time and their skills were duly noted while they changed our doors with ease and care. We would recommend their services again and are already looking into having them replace another set for us again. Thank you for your work Barry!

    Door inserts

    Barry and Murray were great to work with. From initial communications over text months before closing right up to a few days before the install and confirming date - everything was done on schedule. Due to builder door issues (covered under warranty), we asked Murray to come back and remove inserts from the first doors installed to the new ones. We paid a reasonable fee and very happy with the work. Highly responsive team and experts in door inserts and installation.

    Front Door Replacement Glass Windows.

    We are very pleased with the windows that Barry and Dan installed in our front door. They came exactly as they said, they worked well together, and took away the old windows. The new Windows are modern giving us privacy and at the same time Warmth in the front hall as they are triple sealed. There was a very large selection to choose from on their Website. The Installation was very professional and they answered any questions we asked. We recommend Barry and Dan to replace windows as we are extremely satisfied.
