Waterproofing is open heart surgery for the house. For something serious as this, one has to do their due diligence. Let's face it, I did not know anything about waterproofing but I am good at reading people and I liked the fact it was a family business, who take pride in their work. Dean, Chris and their cousins were just absolutely great. They were clean, courteous, on time and very competitive. What more can you ask for? Don't take my word for it, interview them for yourself. If they can please a picky, detailed SOB like me, others will not have any problem with them. Good luck!

We interviewed a lot of other waterproofing contractors (eight, actually) before meeting with Chris. He explained the process they employed and was frank regarding our options. He was professional in disclosing all of the work that was to be done and prompt in notifying us as to when his crew would be available. His price was competitive with other quotes we received, and we felt that the amount asked was in keeping with the work to be performed. We gained the impression that City Wide would be responsive and would honor its time lines. City Wide's crew was professional, courteous, and neat. They arrived on time, explained the work as it progressed and worked quickly to complete the job. Their thoroughness extended to re-seeding the grass along the patch of lawn along the front of the house and bagging and hauling away excess earth. They also managed to work around our brand new retaining wall without needing to dismantle or cut into it (steps that other waterproofing contractors insisted would be unavoidable). Great work, City Wide! Thanks for taking the headache out of waterproofing!

My neighbour had CityWide do his basement waterproofing, my nephew needed it done and I called Citywide, Harry was more than prompt and examined everything and gave me a written quote, my nephew had it done and was very happy. I then needed the same job done and called Lynn, who is the best person to deal with in a company at the front that I have ever dealt with. we did have some problems and as many times as I called I was certainly made to feel that my problem was important and that both Lynn and Harry were doing everything to fix it. I recently contacted Harry for advice to deal with another waterproofing contractor we had engaged whose work quickly became a source of enormous stress & concern for us. Harry & his son Chris were very generous with their time, offering immensely practical & detailed advice on how to mitigate the damage that was being done by this work which had already started & could not be fully stopped without resulting in nasty litigation. Life lesson learned from this experience: it pays to spend the extra bit of money front end to get peace of mind on work as significant as waterproofing. City-Wide offers that peace of mind. Our next waterproofing job will definitely be with them.

This company is really amazing! Right from my initial phone call to receiving my warranty certificate, everything was executed to a "T"! The secretary was very nice and took down my information. Chris called me when she said he would. Chris arrived on time for our initial meeting, he definitely knows the business inside and out, I was quite impressed. After receiving a couple more quotes, CityWide was right in the middle as far as pricing goes. I decided to go with them based on their reputation in the business and more thorough process of foundation waterproofing. The crew arrived to conduct the work on the date (and time) Chris had told me. Right from the begging of the job, the crew took time and care in preparing for the manual excavation. I could tell they take a great deal of pride in their work. The did an excellent clean up and I couldn't be happier! Thank-you CityWide, you are truly a great "group" of people!

It's good to see a company that exudes a sense of hard work and honesty. Communication at times was in need of improvement, however these fellas did a good overall job waterproofing the side of my house and installing a sump pump. They kept the place clean, were punctual and took their jobs seriously.

I called CityWide Group about a week ago after the big storm. they came within 24 hours of my call and addressed the situation right away! They came back a couple days later to excatae around 2 sides of my house and install new weeping tiles & membranes. Very clean and tidy. They were very helpful and nice to deal with. Would tell my friends and family to use them! Thanks!

I own an 90+ year old home in Hamilton that is currently used as and income property. My tennant was getting water leaking into the basement and was going to move out. Thanks to Chris & CityWide Group, they were able to come within a week to stop the leak and my tennant stayed. I agree with so many of the reviews on this site and now truly see why everyones been so happy with this company. They really did a perfect job from start to end. There is nothing I can say that I would have had them do differently. Brilliant!

When reading the recommendations on websites its hard to know how much is truth and how much is fiction. City Wide has received great reviews, and we now know why. Not only do they do excellent work (they repaired two leaks that had been giving us problems for years) but their prices are fair and they are a pleasure to deal with. We highly recommend City Wide.
