Our first contact with this company was at the showroom and it was a pleasant surprise for a couple of reasons. Although it was a bit smaller than I anticipated, there was a good representation of the products on offer, both doors and openers. The other reason was that the sales rep. (Chris) was instantly likeable while being patient and sincere with answering our questions and describing the products. If he didn't sell garage doors for a living he could sell surf boards in Southern California - really laid back. The next contact was the meeting with Kevin for the estimate. As soon as he stepped out of the truck, he kinda scared me because he seemed to be in an altered mental state (not in the here and now). I soon realized that he was already assessing the entire situation to ensure we chose the right style and colour of doors to complement the look of the house. He's like the Rain Man of garage doors. As soon as he snapped out of his trance, he was just as amiable as Chris and clearly an expert. Kevin provided several options for the work to be done in a very matter-of-fact way with absolutely no pressure to choose any single option over another. We signed up immediately. The next contact was again from Chris just to let us know that the installer would be at the house, ten-ish in the morning. Fine. Ten-ish turned into almost eleven-thirty-ish which was not a problem but it would have been nice to get a call just so we could have planned the morning a bit better. The installer was Ryan and this guy is just fantastic! I offered to give him a hand but he made it clear - he rolls alone. Within minutes, Ryan unloaded the truck and set to work dismantling the old doors and openers, replacing some twisted framing then into the new installation. I noticed that the wrong openers were given to him and he acted quickly to correct that situation (another installer dropped by with the proper openers). I left Ryan alone for the duration (about 5 hours) and the result was spectacular! New doors, new tracks and hardware, new openers all installed perfectly. Ryan even swept the entire garage! The garage looks like a showroom! After a quick run-through about the controls, the job was done and he was off! Bottom line - I highly recommend this company despite a couple of minor hiccups (they really need to automate their invoice/contract/work-order system). I would absolutely do business with them again!

Prompt service, reasonable price and very pleasant to deal with. They were honest and fixed the door without recommending other expensive alternatives. Will definitely do business with them again in the future.

My existing garage door became damaged and would not open in the middle of January 2014. I spoke to some other vendors on the phone who told me that it would take months to get a new door ordered and installed. After calling Markham Garage Doors, a rep arrived at my house within 15 minutes. He spent half an hour helping me get the broken door open to rescue my car before even talking to me about a quote. He was able to offer a torsion-spring, powered door for my low-headroom garage to replace the original, noisy extension-spring manual door I had. The work was fully complete within two weeks of that visit and the door is so much nicer to use than what I had originally. Great service from guys who know their stuff!

Had an issue with my door mid day and was not able to leave my garage. Spoke to Chris on the phone was very pleasant and sent someone in less than an hour to have a look at the issue.Brandon was very friendly and explained the problem in simple terms so even I understood and explained my options. He completed the repair in less than an hour. Brandon noticed that the rollers were not in good shape either suggested I replace. The garage door works like new. He also explained my options for the future when it will be time for a new door. Would recommend Markham Garage Doors to friends and neighbours 100%.

Good price and amazing service! Ryan called to let me know he was on the way, showed up on time and with a smile on his face despite the rain. Price quoted was in line with others. Actually they were middle of the road but I went with this company because 2 co-workers used them. Woke up to a broken spring on the garage door. Markham Garage Doors was here a half hour prior to the estimated time. Brandon was very friendly and explained the problem in simple lingo so even I understood. It took less than half an hour to fix the problem. Brandon noticed that I also had a bad bearing and was quick to replace that for me too. He also suggested to tighten the screws on the outer plates with the rollers at least a couple of times a year. Then he proceeded to tighten them all for me. Markham Garage Doors has a great service tech in Brandon and I will tell everybody that needs this service about Brandon and Markham Garage Doors.

I would highly recommend Markham Garage Doors. From first contact to the end of the job, the experience was pleasant. When I called I got a live person (Chris) who was able to take down the details and confirm that a service professional would be able to attend in the morning of the same day. The work was to fix a garage door opener and to provide a tuneup. Brandon the service professional was able to explain articulately and fix the problem with complete ease and all within an hour. Everything was done neatly, efficiently and affordably. The garage door now operates quieter and more smoothly than it did when it was new. Thank you.

Contacted Markham Garage Doors and Chris Dale (owner) was the first person I spoke to. Super friendly and honest about the best way to approach my broken Garage door which saved me a ton of money instead of having to replace and buy brand new garage doors. I also contacted Chris a second time and this time around he sent one of his service techs Brandon Sloan to swing by my house to assess a re-install of my garage door openers as they were not done correctly the first time by some random garage guy I called who placed his company sticker on the mailbox. Markham Garage Doors are super fast and professional. Brandon knew exactly what he was talking about and the service was exceptional. Will refer these guys in a heart beat to anyone buying new garage doors or requiring any sort of service to them.
