    Basement Rennovation

We hired P&P to do a complete, to the studs renovation of our basement in our 100+ year old house. We interviewed a number of contractors and decided on Natanael and P&P because they were cost competitive, very professional/friendly and supplied numerous references. We have done a number of small renovations and this project was our biggest to date. Natanael and George, our site supervisor, made the whole project easy and enjoyable (as far as a renno goes!). Natanael helped us with the initial design, listed to our feedback and made sure everything was incorporated as we envisioned. Whenever something came up that needed a creative solution – Natanael was able to come up with something that worked – and most importantly – keep us on time and on budget. The crew who was working at our house was also excellent – every tradesperson working at the house was extremely friendly, polite and always conscious of the us and our pets! I was impressed that with each decision we had to make, there was always an emphasis placed on doing things right – and not cutting corners. When we were doing structural changes, moving HVACs and re-doing wiring – this attention to detail and safety was key. Lastly, Natanael really stands behind his work. Whenever something wasn’t quite right or didn’t come out as expected – he would always be positive about our feedback and work to make us happy. 100% we would use P&P for our next project.

    Basement Renovation

I am very pleased with my basement renovation done by P&P. Right from the start we knew that Natanel was an expert in his field. He is knowledgable, listened to our ideas, and offered some great suggestions of his own. He is a fair and a hard worker. You don't come across many companies like this. Rafael and Javier were the leaders of the project and they were wonderful. They aimed to please the client....which was wonderful. They listened, were positive and pleasant towards minor changes we had along the way. They worked hard and deserve the recognition. Thanks once again Natanel for a reputable company and reputable work. Well-done!

Pot Lighting on main level and Entertainment System install

This was the second time we worked with P&P. They are always: professional, courteous, on time, and on budget. They give a great price and do an excellent job. We cannot recommend them enough. Any projects that need to be done in our home will from now on be done by Nataneal and his fantastic team. Look no further, P&P is the best!

    Renovation of kitchen

P&P Renovations was recommended to us by a friend after finishing her basement with them. We contacted P&P and we arranged to come by to take a look at our kitchen. My wife and I were very impressed with Natanael as he was very punctual and knowledgeable, he gave us very good ideas and suggestions to make our kitchen more functional and still beatiful. P&P just completed the project last Friday (on time) and we could not be happier, a big difference between before and after, amazing!!!! We highly recommend P&P Renovations to our friends and family and they definitely got a BIG 10!!!! from us. Thanks guys!!!!

    Basement Renovation

I was the project manager for a basement project and worked hand in hand with P&P. They were great. They were always ready to listen to suggestions, and made sure everything was done to the homeowner's satisfaction. They also had good suggestions about items, and did their best to meet all the deadlines.

    Basement Renovation

Work was very well done. Everyone who worked on the basement (Mauricio was leading the project) was friendly and polite, and they accommodated the various changes that we made to the original plans as work progressed. It was a difficult winter to drive in, yet they were on time every day, even though they were coming from Mississauga. Occasionally, materials were delivered late (not their fault, but the supplier's fault), and yet they worked overtime to make sure they got back on schedule. We are thrilled with our new basement. We are very grateful for P&P's professionalism, workmanship, and customer relations. We have already recommended to friends, and would hire them again.

    Basement bedroom

The workers themselves were pleasant enough and did a reasonable job. However, my wife and I were especially disappointed with the owner of P & P. This was the second time we used this company after being satisfied with the first project (upstairs and downstairs bathrooms). This time my wife and I felt Natanael appeared disinterested and not listening to our requests/questions during the the initial quotation stage of our project. Despite this we decided to give him the benefit of the doubt since we were happy with the last project they did. Later into the project Natanael, the owner, became very agitated and argumentative with us ("this is ridiculous") when we asked him to change a couple things (e.g. we wanted boxed-in, rather than sloping, finishes around the window and ceiling ventilation ducts). While I admit we did tell him a little later than we should have (because we were trying to determine whether we could live with this look) my wife and I were extremely unimpressed with his unprofessional and vindictive ("we will not do work for you again") response to our request to change the window and ceiling to our original specifications. He also balked at our request to reroute the air intake ductwork inside our furnace room because it appeared awkward and haphazardly installed. The workers, Camilio and his associate, did a good job installing our laminate flooring. We were also pleased with their workmanship in installing six closet doors and the entrance door to the room. They were also helpful giving us advice on where and how to install our wall-mounted flat screen TV. They were also approachable in answering questions we had during the renovations. They made a couple of mistakes installing the wire shelving in the closets (they cut the shelving wire too short). But they apologized and offered to purchase another shelf at their expense. If it were not for the conduct of the owner of this company, we would have gladly given them a better rating. We will not use P & P again and we will not recommend their services to anybody.

    Basement Renovation

This is the second project P&P was contracted to do for us. The first was our master bathroom renovation which has already been reviewed in January 2014. The basement renovation was a complete finish including the addition of a full bathroom. We were lucky to have the same on site crew of Mauricio and Andre who's attention to detail was again outstanding. The 4 week project was completed on time, to specifications and without a single cost overrun. The subcontractors worked to Natanel's high expectations and standards. Any challenges or questions we had were addressed immediately. We would recommend P&P Renovations without hesitation and contract them again for any project. Thank you!

    Home Renovation

We are the original owners of a 27 year old, 2,700 square foot, two storey, 4 bedroom home in the 'Lion's Gate' area of Erin Mills. With the exception of replacing kitchen cabinets and some ceramic flooring in the kitchen and main floor hallways, the house was basically 'as built' in 1986. To say it was ready for a major 'make-over' would be a bit of an understatement. We decided to make our renovation a two stage process; first we would replace every window as step one - and once that was done we would find the best available contractor to 'rebuild' the interior of our house. Casa Bella did a great job on our windows (previously reviewed) - so now it was time for the serious work. I spent hours reading reviews on Home Stars, and I narrowed my short list down to three renovation companies serving the Mississauga area. Of the three finalists, I was intrigued by how every review for P & P Painting & Renovations talked so positively about 'Natanael' - so I decided to talk to them first. I contacted P & P by email and was able to schedule a meeting with Natanael at my house within a week. We met for about 90 minutes to discuss the extent of the renovation project, potential timing etc. Just based on that initial meeting with Nataneal, I decided not to even check the other two companies out. I knew that we had found the right guy; he was an honest, straight talking, no nonsense man and obviously passionate about his craft. The job was his if the quotation was reasonable. A week later he was back with the quotation and contract covering the entire project, including a detailed description of the work, the materials, the timing and he budget. basically, we were 'rebuilding' the main floor (except kitchen cabinets & ceramics) and the entire upper floor. Every other piece of flooring was to be replaced with new hardwood, every baseboard, every door, every plumbing fixture, every bathroom sink and vanity, every electrical fixture, a couple of walls were to be moved, replaced, every ceiling was to be 'scraped' / flattened. And the highlight was the new oak staircase to the upper floor. Finally, every wall and ceiling had to be painted. We shook hands ad the deal was done. The project had an estimated 8 week time-line - the entire months of June and July of 2013. My wife and I moved out of the house and into a rental condo near Square One. The initial phase of 'destruction was almost mind-boggling. The interior of our house was basically gutted. I don't remember how many massive dumpsters of trash were hauled away. But then the rebuilding process was under way. I was truly blessed to get Mauricio as my project manager. Mauricio basically lived at the job site for two months and oversaw ever single detail of the rebuild. Mauricio was made from the same mould as Natanael -- passionate about his work, and never satisfied until he knew that we were satisfied. Mauricio's 'crew' were all hard working tradesmen -- but every single one of them was polite and respectful towards my wife and I; and I was at the job-site almost every day of the project. At the end of every work day, they actually cleaned up the work site. A project like this can be very annoying to the neighbours who didn't get to move away like my wife and I did - but we never got one single complaint about the job site, the noise, the 'dirt' or any of the tradesmen. In fact, a couple of our long time neighbors commented repeatedly about how good the workers were and how tidy the job site always was. When move-in day finally arrived, my wife and I had a brand new, custom-built home - but we still had the neighbourhood we love and the wonderful neighbors that we have had for so many years. It was a perfect solution! After settling back in for a while, of course we found some minor things that had to be touched up or fixed; it is absolutely inevitable after a renovation as extensive as we had done. Every little item that we needed or wanted addressed, was handled completely. Mauricio made sure that every detail was to our satisfaction. Five months after getting our 'new' home, we are still 100% satisfied with the 'investment' that we made - and have never second guessed the decision to do what we did. P & P definitely have our complete confidence - and respect. About the only part of our house the we didn't have P & P rebuild was our basement. But we have just met with Natanael again this week to take care of that. My ONE 'demand' for any work on our basement was - I had to get Mauricio and his crew to do the work!!

    MAIN BATHROOM

My bathroom was so narrow and tight and the floor was sinking in spots. It was really in need of a fix. I went on Homestars and found P&P Renovations who did a great job for me. Natanael was very prompt with getting back to me, coming out to view the bathroom and then giving me a quote and contract to look over. He estimated two weeks and that was exactly how long they took. Camilo was in charge of my bath renovation and he was a very friendly and happy person who worked hard and did a great job on my project. He called me to discuss certain aspects throughout and get my input. I would not hesitate to use P&P Renovations on any future project and would hope Camilo was in charge again. Thank you for making me LOVE my bathroom. I keep opening the door and looking in as I still cannot believe I have this beautiful bathroom. The price above includes all fixtures etc. which I purchased for the bathroom. I am going to attach pictures. THANKS NATHANAEL!!
