My electrician was unable to get one plug working in my condo and said I needed someone familiar with the building as the problem appears not to be in my unit. I called Cosmos because they were on the recommended contractors list for my building. We arranged a time and I booked the afternoon off. Work to be there. They came early so the building let them in and I couldnt get back in time. They claimed that they sent 3 men who spent 3 hours just to confirm my plug didnt work. My condo is 640 square feet. How could they have spent 9 hrs total to tell me what I already know. I have paid the invoice but warn anyone considering this company to find someone else!! Total rip off.

I requested a quote for potlights, dimmer, and a small fixup at the breaker box. Price was fair, and we set the appointment a few weeks after because they were not available immediately. The day came and went, no one showed up. I got no responses until after 5pm - I should have seen the red flag right there... Instead, I agreed to reschedule. On the 2nd appointment, their crew showed up on time. They showed me a work order of potlights and dimmer - NO breaker, have completely forgotten about this but in my defense this was weeks after. The lights were super nice, and his crew were very efficient; however, the dimmer were installed backward. No problem, it's such a small thing it's not even worth complaining, especially after their amazing job with the lights. Once I received the invoice, I immediately realized something's wrong - even the invoice only has potlight which indicated that none of us remembered the work item, but the sum was perfectly remembered. I called John and the first thing he did was insinuated that I was weaseling my way out of paying him. He kept repeating that we had a contract - which we did, but did that also include flaking off and sending his men out with incomplete work order? He also said that he would had no problem if I ask for more dimmers installed once they were onsite. Come on, how many contractors would do extra work for free? I'm a man of my words and I would never ask anyone to do more than what we agreed to; but I expect the same from others. In this case, while I am reasonably happy with the work that was done so far, I no longer feel comfortable working with John so I have elected to pay him in full and terminate our contract early.

I couldnt have been more pleased with the work of Christian and Alex. They were both extremely professional and efficient. They were fast, courteous, knowledgeable and skilled. I would highly recommend them both, and Cosmos, to anyone looking for an excellent electrician.

Submitted a Job on HomeStars, Cosmos was the first to reach out. They were able to stay within my budget and made an appointment. Electricians were extremly professional and able to fix some of the wiring issues I had and install a Kitchen valence.. Only complaint I have was that I asked before hand if I needed to provide or purchase any materials or provide details prior to them coming and response I got was they would handle it and cover costs. But then when electricians showed up they didn't have the lights or transformer for the valence. So I had to run out multiple times to get the correct lights which resulted in additional time. At first they wanted to charge me extra but after some back and forth they didnt charge me for the extra time and were very professional about it. We ended up paying the agreed upon quote. My only comment would be that we could have avoided the wasted time if someone called me first ahead of time to confirm the project details in full. Alex (head electrician) was great and provided lots of good feedback on the job as well. Overall Very good service I would reccomend, and use them again. They were fast and effecient!

The company responded promptly. Gave me a very competive quote. Asked all my questions promptly. Delivered the job on time and on budget. Very professional.

John and his team came out on short notice, and completed the work exactly as discussed and quoted. No surprises, no headaches, easy to deal with and friendly service.

Two young men worked five hours to reconnect a line that had been cut off with the cement of our driveway. Their work was excellent!

horrible experience. They used an unlicensed person to do the work at our house, left us in a dangerous situation with live wires and hidden junction boxes. Left open electrical in our toddlers bedroom. John the owner didnt even come to our house to inspect the work, just self passed the permit. We self reported to ESA to uncover all the issues. When he was sent back by ESA to fix the issues he tried to walk off with materials we had purchased.

I contacted Cosmos based on their reviews on HomeStars, so I am happy to add my comments as well in order to help others choose an electrician. I had mutiple switches that were not working. John responded quickly to my enquiry and sent two young fellows, Christain and Evan, within a couple of days of my contact. Christain was very thorough and showed me the wiring issues with an explanation as to why they weren't working. Everything works very well now. I would recommend this service.

John & Scott were excellent in explaining how the work would be completed, answering questions, and proposing a solution that would require minimal restoration
