    Asbestos removal from air vents

Templar was fast and efficient. I am very pleased with the quality (and quickness) with which the work was completed. I would definitely use Templar again for any similar needs.

    Asbestos removal

Templar was fast, efficient and did a thorough job of removing asbestos from around our water meter. Their price was competetive however the thing that impressed me the most was their knowledge of applicable safety regulations and the skill with which they used in completing the task. Our facility is a safer one thanks to their efforts, thanks to Robert and crew!

Asbestos removal and re-insulation in attic

During my home inspection prior to moving in (in autumn), I was told there was asbestos in the attic, and that it should be removed. So, I had several quotes done to make sure things were done properly. Oddly, some companies treated my scenario as a different removal type than quotes from others. Robert, whom I was dealing with at Templar, answered all my questions to my satisfaction, and I felt like he knew what he was doing. His pricing was also competitive and was amongst the lower end of all the quotes that I received. After deciding to go with them, they came on time to do the work. Robert did not come, but three others came with their large vacuum truck. I have to say I was surprised to see two younger looking people come, along with an older person. I think my case was a very standard scenario so it looked like they knew what they were doing though. However, upon setting up, they mentioned that they were not able to make a hole on the rooftop coming in directly inside my attic, which is how they normally proceed, and which is how Robert mentioned it would happen. So, fortunately, they were able to bring in the vacuum hose through the window of my bathroom, which is where the entrance to the attic was located. They set everything up so that there was negative pressure, and blocked off the vicinity. Being the curious person that I am, I even had them take a little video of what my attic looked like with my iPhone. They showed us what the asbestos was like, and where it was located. After they vacuumed everything away, I had them take another video to see how clean things were. It was nice to see the before and after. The next day, they blew in the insulation and cleaned up behind them and left. Afterwards, I talked with Robert to set up the post-analysis. Someone came and did the analysis, which took just about an hour or so, and left. I received the clearance from the lab a couple days later via email. Robert then sent me a follow up email with summary and invoice stating everything that was done. The summary mentioned that Type 2 removal took place from the roofline, and new insulation blown in, along with attic baffles and fiberglass stopper installation to improve ventilation from soffits. Since my removal process happened through my window instead, that made me wonder. It seemed like there was a lack of communication between Robert and his workers and/or vice versa. If that was the case, then how am I to know that attic baffles and fiberglass stoppers were installed? I can't be too sure, although if this was a standard scenario, then I'm hoping the workers would have done this regardless of whether it was written on the quote or not. The workers themselves were a pleasure to deal with, and Robert was fine as well. I just wonder about the communication between the two. I am happy that the asbestos is all gone now, and my home is just that much safer to be in, so I'm glad they did give me that peace of mind.

    mould inspection

Robert came out to the house on short notice to check the attic for mould after we failed to get a response from another company we'd used in the past. We were on a tight schedule as we wanted the attic insulated by another contractor. Robert worked on our schedule and fit us in on a Saturday evening. The great news was that our attic was free of mould. I appreciated Robert's professionalism and honesty.

    Mould Removal and Insulation installed

We have lived in our house for 20 years and just recently realized our attic was never properly insulated which is why our family was always bundled more than normal in a house in the winter. We also discovered mould and we were mortified. We called a few companies and were not impressed with their service. We are extremely happy with the service provided by Templar. The workers were punctual, friendly and explained in detail what they would be doing. They were very thorough with their work and we couldn't be happier with the results! We notice a huge difference in the temperature of the house already! We would like to thank Robert Timm for all his help. He organized the whole process for us and always contacted me if there was a time change. Thank you very much Templar!

    mould remediation

I have an older home in the Toronto area (plaster walls, etc). I contacted Robert at Templar on a Thursday and on Saturday he was inspecting the affected area and providing me with a quote. Templar remedied the mold in the closet (a relatively small area, but still cause for concern), by removing the mold and contaminated materials within the affected area on Tuesday. It was much appreciated, particularly with the speed (call to inspection & quote to job completion all within 1 week!), efficiency and quality of workmanship. I know it was a small job comparatively speaking, but Templar tackled it with the same degree of professionalism as you would an entire house which suffered the problem. I would highly recommend Templar.

Mould removal, new insulation, fan vent added

I was happy with the promptness of the service Rob provided. Upon calling him, he provided an on-site quote at our home on short notice. He communicated with me throughout the job so there were no surprises. They did a professional, thorough job, and Rob came on site afterwards to do a formal inspection. His prices are competitive and he provides an honest quote for his services and stands by his work. If I have any other work to do on the attic (hopefully not) in the near future, I would work with Templar Mould again!

    Asbestos pipe wrap removal

Rob and his team responded quickly to our call with both an over-the-phone quote and site visit to assess the scope of work to remove asbestos pipe wrap in the basement of our new old home. They did a thorough, expedient job containing their work area, addressing neighbour concerns and meeting all of our requests. Hope we won't need to but would definitely call Rob again if we needed any services Templar provides.
