    Cross Canada Move - Calgary to Ontario

    Don't use Careful Movers for an out of province move! I booked my move with Careful Movers and they immediately sub-contracted the move to another mover and took a 20% booking fee for themselves. Theyt did nothing for the fee they charged... never even visited my home for the estimate. They quoted a low price and then increased the price by changing the "fuel surcharge" from the quoted 9% to 18%! I contacted them to try to resolve, but they did nothing. AMS transportation the company that actually did the work did a good job for us, however it took a long time (18 days) to have the furniture delivered to my new house. Careful Movers did nothing so I would not recommend them.

    Moving

    We hired Careful Movers for our in city move. The team that was sent over were very friendly and polite. They treated our stuff with respect. They did the job fast and with care. I will definitely use this company again.

    1 bedroom apartment move, in city

    There were many little problems with Careful Movers. First of all, the two movers arrived late (they did call to let me know they would be late, but they were already 30 minutes late for a total of 1 hour waiting time). By they time they loaded the truck, it was lunchtime, which consumed another hour which is fine (everyone should eat!), however Careful Movers charges approximately 95$ for mileage/ travel time. So time adds up when you're late, eating meals, weather, etc. The movers also needed verbal prompting to lay down their floor protectors (which were clearly worn out as we now have wheel marks all over our hardwood floor). It was also raining during my move, so my condo was left filthy. I would not recommend this company. One piece of positive feedback: Austin was upfront about the mileage/ travel time charge. Although my move was very small in comparison to some big ticket moves, I did not feel that I was treated with the best customer service.

We also apologize for being late, however we all know how the Calgary traffic can be in the mornings and sometimes we cannot help this. While we do charge $95/h for our hourly rate and travel, we do not charge for our guys to eat lunch and that was reflected on your bill at the end. We only charge for the time we start loading till we finish unloading plus the hour travel allowing us a half an hour to get to your place and a half an hour back to our shop. Time is taken off for our guys to eat lunch. Also the floor runners are not thick enough to prevent some wheel marks and when heavy furniture is being wheeled in there will always be a mark or two that can easily be washed off. The runners are there to keep the floors clean from dirt on the guys shoes. Also some customers do not want us to use floor runners are even pad there furniture sometimes, so these services are all upon request. I would have wished that if you had a problem with our company that you would have called in and informed us about it so we can be better prepared for future moves.     2 Bedroom Home Move

    Very Happy with Careful Movers. The guys were very kind and polite the entire day, and did a great job handling our very large, very heavy furniture. Nothing was scratched or damaged at all. The guys work together well as a team and they enjoy their jobs. I couldn't have done this without them and am recommending Careful Movers to friends & family.

    moving

    I recently used Careful Movers and have never experienced such an efficent and professional move. The guys were very professional and took great care with our belongings. They even drove slowly on bad roads to ensure that our breakables were safe. I would definitely use them again and refer them to my friends and family.

    Moving Services

    I needed to move quickly and I work full time, so I really felt like I was scrambling to get everything organized. I was so relieved when I found Careful Movers and was even more impressed with how diligent and professional they were! They really did go the extra mile and were such a joy to work with...I get the impression that they really care about what they do. Every piece of furniture and box was treated with such care. Thanks again to Austin McKinnon and his team!

    Moved from Tuscany to Discovery Ridge

    The guys you had working for your company are exceptionally professional, polite and rolled with the punches. There was not one piece of furniture damaged, everything was pad wrapped right in front of Me. They were quick and careful. I will be using them again in the future. Alexis

    Recent move

    We recently used Careful Movers and are very disappointed with the service provided. They scratched our leather couch, broke a couple of items, lost a piece of our treadmill, and damaged our walls several times bringing things in. They have made no attempt to reimburse us for any of the damage that was done. We will never use them again, and do not recommend them to others.

    House move

    Thanks guys for making this move as enjoyable as possible. Scott and Tyler had such a great sense of humour that my son and I felt like the job took half the time. I will be moving out of storage soon and will look forward to using these guys again.

    packing and moving

    Hired careful movers to pack and move my loft. We were especially concerned about our antique china collection which we needed special packing on. The general manager ended up coming out to pack the china for us himself as this was worth over 40,000 dollars. I must say him and his crew were the most "careful" movers we had ever used, and for the general manager to come out was the best customer service we had ever received. These guys get an A plus in effort, kindness and efficiency. Anyone looking for a great reliable company should give these guys a call.
