    Great Service

    Great overall service. Russ and the guys did superb job without delay and excellent customer service. They actually found a way to fit our new couch through the front door....something the delivery guys from the furniture store could not do or figure out...good job FMI!

    Moving and storage

    We moved from Uxbridge Ont to Niagara on the lake. Our belongings was put in storage for almost 3 months. The Firemen were excellent we couldn't believe how fast they were in moving us out as well as in. The men were friendly and polite. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to friends. There quote was right on. We had other quotes which were way more. Thanks again Firemen (PS They are also good looking)

    Firemen Movers

    We have used Firemen Movers twice in the last few months...exceptional service... With the introduction of each member, (with big smiles), the walkthrough so that each one knew what was to go (some things went to the future homeowner), the care each piece of furniture was wrapped, the teamwork, comraderie and efficiency was top notch. At our new home the unpacking, unwrapping and setting about took little time. The previous owners had left a very old, very large freezer in a small back room, down narrow stairs in the basement. Teamwork prevailed..they got it out and onto the curb for the junk man. Fantastic job. So recommended our neighbours chose them for their move. Trustworthy, efficient and possibly life savers..you get tips to keep your family and cherished 'homestuff' safe. Call them..you won't be disappointed. Thankyou FIREMEN MOVERS for a stress free move.

    Move

    We moved from a 2-storey 2600 sq ft. home to a 2-storey 3300 sq ft. home. The guys did a phenomenal job and they had some HEAVY furniture to carry down a very tricky staircase! They managed a large Kiln and very heavy printer without a problem. They were responsive to our requests, professional, worked as a team, and had a positive attitude even at the end of a very tiresome day! We definitely recommend these movers. They made a very stressful time, more manageable!

    500 square foot condo move

    Be careful with this company. My parent's recommended this company based on moving their 2,600 sf house two years ago which cost $1,770. My parent's were happy with the service and cost, BUT our SMALL 500 sf condo cost us $1,440 -- ONLY $330 less than a 2,600 sf house (plus a basement & double garage)! So seemed like an obvious billing mistake, but the company say's no. Here's why: their hourly rate has gone up about 50% in last two years, ie., from about $50/hour per mover to $75/hour per mover. The quote for our condo move was misleading : they quoted minimum 4 hours at $149 per hour (2 man crew = $74.50/hr/) BUT fail to tell you that there is an ADDITIONAL charge of 1.5 hours for TRAVEL TIME, an ADDITIONAL charge of $45 for FUEL, and that there is NO deduction for LUNCH of about 3/4 hours so this is another ADDITIONAL charge. So about $350 more than it should have been.

    Updated response: This client has changed their review so we have updated our response. Again, it's unfortunate that this client is unhappy with his Final Bill and it's unfortunate that they do not understand the billing even though it's presented and billed in the exact same manner as their first move with which they were happy enough to contract us again for a second move. We have tried to explain everything to this client but they are choosing to use their own figures in their review and those figures are very wrong and missleading. The bottom line from our perspective is that we were completely up front about ALL costs that this client would be recieving and we came in under the estimated time by 45 minutes. We wish this client well in the future and we hope they enjoy their new home. This is the second time we have moved this client in the last two years so it's unfortunate that he wasn't happy with his final bill the second time around. However the review he posted is full of errors and therefore, as a responsible and honest company, we would like to clarify the facts as they were stated in this review. First off we have NO hidden costs. This client was charged the exact same Travel Time and Fuel Surcharge last week as he was 2 years ago. We explain ALL of our charges to every single client by phone or in person (in-home estimate) and each client receives an Order Confirmation before their move, via email, which includes ALL charges for their move. This happens without exception. If we did have hidden costs this review site would be full of people saying that and clearly that is not the case. Secondly, the crew on this client's move stopped for exactly 19 minutes (not 45 minutes) to get lunch to refuel their bodies and complete the move in a responsible manner. We know it was only 19 minutes because all of our trucks are equipped with GPS and we make that information available to any client that wants to review it. Lastly, our costs have not gone up anywhere near 33% over the last 2 years. This client stated they paid $145 per hour for a 2 man crew and that is correct. Our base rate is $129 for a 2 man crew (weekday rate). Our clients that book early are able to secure that rate and then the clients that book much closer to their move date may end up paying a higher rate as once all of our trucks are booked up we face increased costs due to rental trucks, loading and unloading of moving equipment on these rental trucks and pick up and drop off of these trucks, etc. We hope this helps clarify the above review.     Moving and storage

    The crew led by David were effective and efficient. they provided excellent value added service and I have no hesitation to give them as a referral within my business network, family and friends. Keep up the great work!!

    Amazing movers

    My husband and I were incredibly blown away with the service we received from Firemen Movers. From being punctual at start time, to quick and fast during the move and to ensuring all our fragile belongings arrived safely. Kailen M. and Chris N. were extremely professional, knowledgeable and efficient with helping us move. This was our first move, but they made it fun and easy! We will definitely use Firemen Movers next time and have already recommended them to others. Thank you so much.

    Home & Office Moves

    It must be a law of nature: moves and stress go hand in hand. But this time around just felt like it was going to be different: we had found Firemen Movers!!! Our first contact was with Charmaine who proved upbeat, professional and infinitely patient with us as our moving date got challenged. Then when Jamie and his crew showed up, we just knew we could relax and let the professionals take over. They were simply marvelous, bringing efficiency, poise, thoughtfulness, maturity, integrity, diligence, responsibility and resourcefulness to the job. Just like firemen do every day... :) :) :) Even when we hit a glitch (through no fault of theirs), Jamie took charge and resolved the issue promptly. We were so impressed that we booked my husband's office move with them. If you value your sanity, count yourself lucky: you have just found the solution to your next move. Whoever thought of putting firefighters in charge of moving people deserves a nobel prize! THANK YOU, guys, and see you soon! ...well, we just completed our second move in one month with Firemen Movers - this time bringing hubby's office to our new home. Russ and Kiefer did a marvelous job and were done in no time. We are officially addicted... thank you again, and see you next time!

    Best Move Ever!

    By FAR the best moving experience we have ever had. Professional, friendly, prompt and courteous from the moment they arrived until the job was finished. Russ and his crew took the stress out moving and were positive and upbeat all day long! (Despite our really heavy furniture!) We would not hesitate to use Fireman movers again and will most certainly recommend to friends and family. A very BIG thank you to the crew - you were all so wonderful!! Sean & Darlene Milligan

    Fantastic movers

    We had a very conplicated move from our large home to a small condo, while storing most of our large pieces at a third site. Firemen came out for a walk through and gave us a fair estimate. When the scope changed (more pieces moving to storage than anticipated) another walk through was suggested so the movers were fully aware of the scope. I found them all extremely professional, careful, smart, polite, and possibly the hardest working men I have seen. Efficient, dependable, respectful and on time.
