    Duct and furnace cleaning

A lot of construction debris was pulled out of the cold air return by Paul & Philipp. Good teamwork on their part. They both were quick, efficient and polite. I turned off the Electronic Air Cleaner which is a recognized health hazard and traded it in for the purchase of an electrostatic Clean Air Gold filter with a lifetime warranty. Great way to save money and my health.

    Answer from pro:

Electrostatic precipitators are early 20th century inventions. They continue to produce ozone,or trioxygen, which is a triatomic molecule, consisting of three oxygen atoms, a known lung irritant. In addition, they collect a carcinogenic substance called amorphous silicone dioxide on the metal surfaces. Electrical currents passing through the unit can cause this cancer causing agent to be released in tiny explosions from the surface. The Asthma and Allergy Foundation strongly recommends turning off and replacing this ancient technology that is difficult to clean effectively and is also costly to maintain. Talk to our duct cleaning technicians about the healthy and cost-effective alternatives.

    Duct Cleaning

Paul and his staff did a great job cleaning the ducts in my home. They showed up early for our appointment, and did the job quickly and professionally. They did not try to offer me any additional repair or cleaning services. Highly recommend.

    Answer from pro:

Our policy is simple: it isn't broken, don't fix it. The HVAC system in Radu's home in Toronto needed nothing more than a thorough duct cleaning. We were happy to oblige and will put him on our call back list in 3 years.

    Duct cleaning

Wow. Great job. The tech's kept the work space clean and I admired their professionalism. They were very courteous, offered the service at a good price and used a very pleasant smelling sanitizer that was all natural.

    Answer from pro:

Happy to oblige, RM! We try hard to minimize intrusion in family life while we're their, and to leave your home as we found it...minus the dust in the ducts.

    duct and furnace cleaning

Great work performed by the Canaduct cleaners. They took the time to explain the differences in air filters and offered invaluable information re the use of bagging vent covers in the event of sanding floors and walls. Thanks guys!

    Answer from pro:

When it comes to air filters, you get what you pay for. We love HEPA units and Clean Air Gold permanent electrostatic washable filters due to their remarkable ability to dramatically reduce dust in the home. You have to begin with an effective duct cleaning, of course.

    Duct cleaning

I was happy with the service they provided. They were very professional and clean. I would highly recommend them. They were a pleasure to work with. They gave me several suggestions about how to make my home dust free.

    Answer from pro:

Duct cleaning is merely the first step toward keeping a home more dust free. Toronto and the GTA is a large polluted city, so changing or washing filters on a periodic basis is an essential procedure in home maintenance.

    Duct cleaning

I just about to move into my new home and required the professional services of a reputable duct cleaner. Great work by Paul and his partner. They were quick, thorough, courteous and informative. I'll recommend them to anyone.

    Answer from pro:

Many new homes are not duct cleaned professionally. Simply vacuuming out the vents, as most builders do, is entirely ineffective because so much dust remains hidden from the human eye, deep inside the main duct work. So many times I have encountered customers with respiratory problems: coughing, sneezing and even bleeding noses. Add to it, the accumulation of dust in the furnace...what a nightmare!

    Duct cleaning

When shopping for a reputable duct cleaner, we experienced a degree of frustration with a number of companies that failed to return our calls; some as much as a week later. Paul at Canaduct answered the phone and we booked the appointment right away. I was impressed with one of the team member's concern for my children's safety with respect to exhaust emissions from the truck, to which he redirected the positioning of said vehicle. They performed a thorough cleanup of the ductwork and left behind no residual mess.

    Answer from pro:

Our company was inundated with as many as 25 calls per hour. Fortunately, our response time was relatively quick and we were able to book Elvis at his early convenience. Knowing which way the wind blows can be important in locating and positioning the duct cleaning truck. A shift in the wind, can direct exhaust emissions into the home.

    Duct, furnace clean

We had two issues that needed to be addressed in semi-detached Toronto home: the need to clean the ducts to reduce the dust, and increase the air flow in the baby's room. The technicians from Canaduct effectively dealt with both. They we're friendly, knowledgeable, timely and efficient. My only issue was that afterwards there was debris all over our furniture that we had to clean up. If we had known that would happen before hand, we would have rearranged items before they arrived.

    Answer from pro:

I'm glad we were able to solve the air flow issue in your home. Adjusting the dampers doesn't always help; fortunately in this case, it did. Debris (definition: fragments of something that has been destroyed or broken into pieces) on the furniture as a result of our duct cleaning procedure is not possible, because we pull out debris from the vents by hand or use a portable 5 HP wet/dry vacuum, prior to duct cleaning.
