    Duct cleaning

Thank you so much for a job well done. Your technicians were very friendly and did a very thorough and efficient job. They arrived well within the appointment window. Upon arrival they courteously introduced themselves and explained thoroughly the job to be done and the process it was going to be undertaken. Upon my request they produced a shot of the ducting prior to the cleaning and another shot after which proves the cleaning was effectively done. Both provided answers to my various questions to my satisfaction. Paul, the supervisor likewise provided useful advise as to matters of safety and care for the machine. He readily provided a replacement filter for the centralized dehumidifier which has been left unchanged for the past 3-4 years. Again I say both technicians did an excellent job. I certainly would recommend your company to friends, relatives and neighbors.

    Answer from pro:

Thank you so much for the 10-star review, JC. Indeed, one photo tells a thousand words. The dirty pictures were a sharp contrast to the clean pictures, clearly demonstrating the effectiveness of our clean team. Be sure to change the humidifier pad this time next year for 2 reasons: 1) once it fills with calcium, the cells cannot fill with water. Now water is being uselessly expended. 2) In the course of one season, whole house humidifier pads can be subjected to about 30 gallons of water/day, which washes away the antimicrobial coating. Standing water = bacteria. So be sure this item is on your annual HAVC to-do list.

    Duct cleaning

The technitions that completed the cleaning were nice, knowledgeable and efficient. Some left over debris that I needed to clean out from the intake of the furnace. Will recommend to others.

    Air and Dryer vent cleaning

Mike and Thomas came on time, did a clean work, explained everything, I was very satisfied.

    Answer from pro:

Dryer vent cleaning is very important. 4,600 dryer fires occur each year. Not to mention the energy costs that a thick coating of lint will cause.

    Duct cleaning

Had my furnace ducts and dryer vent cleaned. Canaduct arrived within scheduled window. Guys we're friendly and polite. Only criticism is they could have been a bit neater/cleaner.

    Answer from pro:

In the article A1C received in his email from Canaduct, it states, "Be aware that duct work is tight but rarely sealed. Once disturbed, dust can leak through joining straps and cleats and fall from on top of duct work. In addition, the duct cleaning process may disturb dust behind pot lights and baseboards and the underside of hanging ceiling tiles." Alas, forewarning is not definitive. Our procedure remains as effectual as is practicable.

    Cleaning ducts, fireplace and furnace.

Mike and his crew were prompt, courteous and professional. I got three jobs done in one day instead of three separate service calls. The only reason I didn't give them five stars was they left a little dust and dirt behind (another guy I've used brings a small shopvac to clean up behind him). I also woke up the next morning to an absolutely FREEZING house (61 degrees F). Somehow somewhere the furnace was turned off and never turned back on at the end of the day. But I would still recommend Canaduct to friends who have multi-purpose jobs.

    Answer from pro:

A slap on wrist simply won't do. We dealt with this issue forthwith. Thank you, Howard.

    Rodent removal

Duct cleaning & furnace cleaning. Would have liked to know what came out of the ducts, other companies will show you.

    Answer from pro:

Our trucks are high-powered vacuum cleaners on wheels. About a ton of dust and debris is collected annually from residential homes. Technicians are unable to demonstrate what comes out of the ducts in any particular home. Best analogy: vacuum all the rooms in your home with your household vacuum cleaner. Once completed, if asked, you would be unable to identify, much less separate, the dust from your living room on a given day, from what's in the bag that hasn't been emptied over the last few vacuuming sessions. I would like to know what companies can show the homeowner what came out of the ducts. In 16 years, I have never known of any professional duct cleaning equipment that can demonstrate this ability and believe it to be unsupportable advertising hype.
