    Moving

WARNING.....I hired these professionals to move my belongings from BC to Ontario. I ended up with them damaging my old rental unit in a tune of 5000.00 and they blamed me for it and say that they are not responsible for slight damage. Destroying a door frame completely and wooden stairs is not what I say is slight damage. They refuse to do anything about it. Check out their raiting at the BBB. They are longer accredited. Do the research and go with soemone better.

    Answer from pro:

We can say that this customer tried EVERY avenue to make a claim throughout the move. From forgetting that she informed us that her car had been damaged/had to go to the shop the night before pickup and then trying to assess that same damage to us post move, we have been through each and every challenge she has presented and addressed each and every one. The door frame and stairs in a rental unit were not reported until the landlord would not give this tenant her damage deposit back...at which point, she (again) tried to place blame on us. She had large dogs and a great volume of contents squeezed into a small basement unit and the move was only problematic when she presented issues (like bringing the dogs back from the groomers during the move, having others over during the process, etc.). The expectation is to basically clear out and allow the crew to do their jobs with minimal distraction and chaos...that was NOT the case in this move.

    moving booking

DO NOT EVER BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY. We had to cancel our move far in advance and they wouldn't even consider refunding the deposit. Their estimate was very high. This is a rip off!!!!

    Answer from pro:

We don't collect deposits on our moves. As well, the estimate is but the first stage of the move, before it's even booked, and is meant for information purposes. To complain about an estimate is like complaining that your tea is too hot before even having a sip in a putting the cart before the horse. If the "estimate" is too high, then you simply don't book with that company....it's rather inappropriate to do so, then complain/cancel. The estimate is the very first stage and offers the chance to either proceed or not based on the information provided. A "rip off" would mean there was some service and an overage in charges...if this person never moved with us, it makes the complaint unfounded.

    Vegaline Moving

the WORST experiance with moviers! I was moving from montreal to saskatoon. When I asked for a quote they quoted me at half of what the acctual amount was. While everything was moved on time, they damaged a large amount of my belongings and lost a number of things as well. They also charged me a bunch of precarious fees that they forced me to pay before they'd remove my stuff from the truck. I then had to dispute the charges and damages through a claim company who does not respond to emails and apparently noone has any way to contact. They refused to refund anything for the damages or the charges for services which I did not recieve. I would NOT recomend anyone use this moving company, would I recomend my family.. no.. more.. I would not even advise the person I most dislike in this world to use this service. Noone deserves to deal with the hassle vegaline gives!

Cross Canada move and packing service

Awful experience. The packing service was atrocious. They wrapped my white rocking chair cushion around a garbage bin and duct taped it! Just one example of their terrible packing. Obviously a large amount of damage to my Furniture and items. They were late with delivery and did not notify me nor could they give me a reasonable delivery time range. They were rude, both the movers and their customer service representatives (once they got my belongings). The movers unloading my things demanded more CASH for unloading on stairs although i had been previously told there would be no extra cost. They did not compensate me for the damage. Completely unprofessional and over priced. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

    Move from Vancouver to Calgary

Vega lines is the WORST moving company ever. Please save yourself a lot of grief and heartache (and unnecessary stress) and DO NOT use them. The final price of my move ended up being more than 2x what they initially quoted. Like many other reviewers on this site I did not receive my belongings on the promised date and despite daily phone-calls (I was always told X,Y,Z person would call me back and they never did) and promises of delivery on certain days (which I took off work!) my belongings failed to show up. When they did the movers were EXTREMELY rude. Refused to unload any belongings until I paid them and caused damage to both my belongings (thousands of dollars worth of damage) and to my brand-new condo in the process (e.g. damage to walls which they did not even say anything about - I only noticed it after they left!). Their claims department offered me $50 on the condition that I didn't post any negative reviews, BBB complaints, lawsuits etc. which I declined. This is a company of criminals who are basically taking money from innocent people - it is so frustrating and made moving to a new city 1000x more stressful than it already was. PLEASE PLEASE do your research and avoid this company.

Don't hesitate and call them if you're looking for the best deal!

I would recommend Vega Line to my own parents. That's how great they were with a $1,100 one bedroom apartment move across the country. Our stuff travelled more than 2,700 miles and not one item was broken, severely damaged, or lost. Amazing! My Vega Line experience first began with a phone call with Alex. I had some basic questions and he was friendly and helpful. A few days later, Mark came to our apartment with his Ipad handy and made a quick assessment/inventory list of our belongings. He was calm, friendly, helpful and not pushy at all. Mark seemed like a nice typical dad (in his early forties?) We had other companies also come out to do an in-house estimate, which I highly recommend. The guy from a company that contracts with another company was a bit annoying and pushy, so we are glad we went with Vega Line instead. Mark immediately emailed us a flat rate/not-to-exceed estimate which we accepted and signed a few days later. We painstakingly packed and labeled our items (everything except furniture) ourselves. I had my own secret labeling system. Vega Line sent three, young, nice, respectful, and thin men to us for the pick up. The guys were surprisingly strong and were extremely careful about disassembling our furniture. They took our heavy boxes and furniture down our treacherous stairs to their truck without incident. One kindly asked us if he could play music from his phone, which we all appreciated. It helped break the silence. We had cold bottled water, juices, and some energy/cereal bars for them. They took our belongings to their storage facility in Richmond, BC since we didn't know the exact address of our new place yet. Finally, when we picked a new place I called Vega Line to give them the address. Alex worked really hard to get the delivery. - Pretty good considering our building only allows moving in/out M-F during business hours.Delivery was fine. It was three young guys who worked fast. The guys who take it apart upon pick up have to spend a lot of time wrapping the furniture pieces and not lose little screws and bolts. Our total move cost was approximately $3,100. It was approximately $400 over the original estimate because we used a few extra weeks of storage beyond the first free month. Tips for moving:Have several companies do an in-house estimate. Finish your packing before the movers arrive. They told me that we would be surprised by how many people aren't finished packing their stuff when they arrive to take it away. It took me much longer than I thought. If you're doing a self pack like we did, don't worry Vega Line applying their own labeling system and keeping a list of all the boxes and their contents handy upon pick up and delivery. They are Checking off boxes/furniture items as they arrive at your new place. That way when the delivery guys are done, you can say, "Thanks, we have all our stuff" fairly quickly.Have cold water bottles, gatorade, packaged snacks, etc. ready for the movers. It doesn't cost much and they usually appreciate the gesture. I don't know how much the moving guys get paid, but a tip is usually appreciated by the guys. Actually, no matter how much they get paid they are working really hard to move your heavy belongings. Overall great price and by far the best service for the lowest price possible, don't hesitate and call them if you're looking for the best deal! Rosalinda Kominetsky

    Experienced, reliable and friendly

First let me start by saying that Mark Guzman was one of the most knowledgeable individuals we spoke with during the research phase of our move from Thunder Bay, ON to Burnaby, BC , yes we moved from one extreme to another. We were moving from our families estate that we had lived in for over 20 years as a family and then for 18 years with my family and it was time to downsize. We left a 7,500 square foot home in Thunder Bay and purchased a smaller yet still large 5,000 square foot home in Burnaby and needless to say there was an abundance of knick knacks and other items collected over those years to be packed and moved. We had 3 major movers come to our residence to quote us and while they were very professional with the exception of one whom took 7 days to call us with the estimate despite phone calls to their office seeking the quote, we opted to move with Vegaline Moving Services due to the comfort level we felt after speaking with one of the owners of the company, Mark Guzman. we had exchanged several emails, along with a few phone conversations going over the other estimates from the companies that visited our home. There were many items of note that required special care in order to be moved, including but not limited to, a Steinway Concert Grand piano that has been in our family for 90 years, 3 arcade sized games, 2 pinball machines, valuable antiques, 2 motorcycles, etc. We needed the moving company to build specialty crates for those items and with Vegaline Moving Services, they had a professional crating company come to our home 72 hours prior to the pack and load date, build the crates to specification and then the movers would simply have to load them onto the truck. Scheduled pack day was Monday May the 3rd and Tim and Mark came early in the moring and had 4 hired men from coincidentally one of the moving companies we had to our residence for an estimate and they put on a show. Tim began with an inventory list of every single item, 3 other of the men began packing literally within 5 minutes of showing up and they tore that house up in a good way. Keep in mind, we were moving over 30,000 pounds worth of items that had been sitting in the house for years and years and these guys came in and knocked it out in 3 days between the packing and loading. Having never moved before we had really no idea to expect and this company really over exceeded our expectations of what a professional moving company should be and do. The quotes for the move varied by company, $40,000 from one, $29,000 from another and $33,000 from a third, Vegaline Moving Services was $31,000 from start to finish and they earned every single dollar. They came with a semi truck and a large uhaul sized truck and managed to make it to Maine 6 days after the pick up. We are not moving again god willing, but anybody that we know looking for a mover will get Vegaline Moving Services phone number and information.

    Move from Bc to Alberta

where to begin first vega does not bring a truck large enough to accommodate all of my belongings there for I am forced to leave things behind. My stuff gets put into storage for 5 weeks. The time comes to move in to my place and Vega shows up at my door I pay vega 5000 dollars before they will unload my belongings which is either broken or severely damaged. When they finish unloading my stuff they tell me that all of my stuff is not on this truck and that I will have to wait 15 days for the rest to be delivered. The 15 days has came and left it has now bean a month. Every time iphone to find out when the rest of my stuff will be delivered I either get hung up on or misled on the date when the rest of my stuff will be delivered. Vega moving is by far the worst company I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with

    TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!!

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! I contracted Vegaline for my move from Cochrane, AB to Toronto, ON and it was the biggest mistake of my life. The people at Vegaline were terrible. First off, they told me that my move would take 7 to 9 days to deliver, not 2 months like the reality! When i would call to speak to someone about the delay, they would be extremely rude when they weren't hanging up on me. The sales rep that coordinated the move was a man named Mert who was unbelievably incompetent, it appeared as though as soon as he put the order through, he disappeared and never returned my emails or phone calls - some sales rep he was!. He would refuse to give me any information about what was taking my shipment so long each of the 15 times i called them! When my personal items arrived, they had caused over $10,000 is damages to my furniture. When i called to let them to talk about the process of documenting the damages to my possessions, they refused to take any responsibility for the damage! After many phone calls and emails, they finally came to their senses and offered monetary compensation. They told me that they would pay me $193 for the $10,000 worth of damage they caused! oh yeah, i forgot to mention that if i was to accept the money (which i am not) i be agreeing that no further action will be taken including: negative reviews (online and media outlets etc) BBB action/involvement or legal action. Obviously, I am not taking their $193 as I am taking this matter to small claims court to resolve it. Everyone needs to be aware of what these people do or what they don't do, which is ANYTHING they say they would do. I wish i did more research on Vegaline before i hired them. Look at the reviews online, many people have the same issues as me. Do yourself a favour and do your research. Here are some sites to check out reviews on this company: 1. https://plus.google.com/105674528066997704725/about?hl=en#105674528066997704725/about 2. http://www.bbb.org/mbc/business-reviews/movers/vega-line-moving-and-storage-services-in-richmond-bc-1198624 3. http://www.yelp.ca/filtered_reviews/TuKBiFl245BaHBkDSpnTpw?fsid=1y5DOqKLyDmF1eEOACaGkw The most important one for me is the BBB reviews. They have an "F" rating, which is the only site that they don't have access to...weird? Please do yourself a favour and DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! It will be the biggest mistake of your life!
