We used Forbes Mechanical Inc. for our basement development and at the same time did some upgrades in the rest of the house. We were given good advice on fixtures and not pressured in any of our decisions. They also gave timely advice for things that I had not thought of; for example, Martin suggested we consider running our A/C rough in lines before drywall (that would have been frustrating later!), we also have a large bathroom in the basement and could easily fit 2 sinks which we did at Martin's recommendation. We later added a plumbed in coffee maker and Forbes ran the additional water line for minimal cost and at short notice. We met 3 of their plumbers and all were knowledgeable, neat and polite. Forbes made the whole plumbing process pleasant.

the service excellent. The were very thorough and they had great attention to detail. They also did a great job with the cleanup. I was very satisfied with the work done. I do not have any problems with the furnace. And I have used them again in other projects.

I found Forbes Mechanical through this site and initially used them to replace a broken hot water tank. It was a bit of an emergency, since ours had stopped working and of the four companies that I contacted, they were the only ones that returned my call in a timely manner. They came to the house the next day to replace the tank and I was very impressed with the service, the speed and the friendliness of the Forbes employees. Therefore, when I recently needed a gas line installed to accommodate a new gas stove, I went straight to Forbes. However, my husband's friend had recommended another plumber, who was supposedly cheaper. After having both Forbes and a slightly cheaper competitor in to assess the job, it became painfully apparent that the cheaper plumber did not have the same skill set or knowledge as Forbes (eg. couldn't guarantee where my stove would end up, wasn't sure how to run the line through the basement etc.). As a result, the cheapest option was not the best value, which is an important consideration, when choosing someone to make changes in your home. Martin from Forbes did the work and the post-inspection hook up, two days ago, and the experience was just as pleasurable as the first time. Again, it was done correctly, they showed up right on time and were super friendly and professional. I would highly recommend Forbes to anyone searching for quality workmanship at a fair price. They are outstanding!

We are relatively new homeowners of a 1950s era bungalow. And we have ZERO plumbing knowledge so we were pretty overwhelmed when it came to finding a reliable, professional, honest company. I am really grateful for the reviews at Homestars - that's how I discovered Forbes. We first spoke with Martin at Forbes and we received a fair quote on a new toilet for our main bathroom. Thank you so much to Andrew, who showed up on time, was pleasant and professional throughout the entire job. We called them again when we were having some drainage issues with our downstairs toilet. Again, they showed up when they said they would and solved the problem. We highly recommend Forbes and will undoubtedly be using their services again.

In the work that has been done in the hotel, we have found that Forbes Mechanical has great values and understands the importance of building a relationship in customer service through integrity and quality. Whether the job is big or small it will be done well. Forbes Mechanical continues to provide us with quick and efficient results. We highly recommend them for commercial or residential projects.

I wanted a dishwasher installed in my kitchen where there wasn't an option for one. I was told by several plumbers that this couldn't be done without ripping open the floor and running new water lines and power. We called in Forbes to take a look. After a little thought and some time Dwight, from Forbes, said it could be done. He came back, with his apprentice Andrew, and had a perfect running dishwasher right where I wanted it in no time at all! This made me happy, happy, HAPPY!! The work ethic and presentation of this company is truly outstanding! Gold star for you boys!

So surprising just made a call Mr. Martin at the doorbell within an hour. very gentle person did his survey for leakage from exhaust fan. I was impressed when Mr. Martin stated he has already brought the materials to fix the problem.The job done in a flash.

I had called around to many companys and found that I was treated like one in a thousand and it was my privalage that they had answered the phone. I finaly called Forbes Mechanical because of there rating and I can say they are as good as the stories. They did not want payment until I was happy with the job. They treated my home and wife with respect, real gentelmen.

I had problems with my boiler heating for years and especialy this winter and after many visits from other plumbers who seemed to just guess at what the problem was but never realy made a differance with a charged for every visit. I got Forbes Mechanicals number from a friend who they had worked for, they came in told me my many problems gave me a quote and did not try to charge more once the job was started. It is cold today and I cant believe the temperature control I now have in my house there are no longer cold spots or hot spots,and I am sure my new high efficiant boiler is using alote less fuel to heat my house. They said to me "long after the price is foregotten the quality is remembered" and I now know what they mean. Forbes Mechanical is the only people I will call now.

Very professional, knowledgeable and honest. We knew we weren't being swindled! Friendly and CLEAN!! WE were impressed with the workers appearance...all very clean-cut, mannerly. The word integrity comes to mind. Definitely a thriving business, have recommended to many friends and family.
