    Chimney rebuilt and front steps.

Tony was referred by a nieghbour and his estimate was the actual price. The work was completed on time and the workers did a fine job and cleaned up after they were finished.

    Rebuilding two chimneys

Straight Up Masonry did a great job on my chimneys. I don't know much about masonry - job looks fine to me, however I do know good customer service when I see it. They were prompt, efficient, and cleaned up well afterwards. Tony also took the time to show me how the old chimney bricks and liner were failing - this made me more comfortable with the decision to rebuild the whole chimney rather than fix the top few rows of bricks. Furthermore the price was reasonable versus other quotes we had received. I glad I chose Straight Up Masonry and I'd definately recommend them.

Thanks Rob, Customer service is very important to us at Straight Up Masonry, without this service there would be no great customers. Tony

Repair brick pillar; parge bottom of brick wall

I contacted Straight Up Masonry after reading the reviews on this site, and I was extremely pleased with the work. The bottom of a brick pillar in the front of my house was crumbling away. As well, water and snow had started to wear away at the mortar at the bottom of a brick wall that forms the side of my house. Tony was able to come out a few days earlier than we had originally scheduled to do the work (I've never had that experience with a contractor!), and the end result was perfect. The pillar was repaired, and the bottom of the wall was parged all within a short amount of time, and the work area was clean. I would definitely hire Straight Up Masonry again.

Thanks Jen, We're happy we got to this sooner than planned, and thank you for accommodating us sooner than planned. Tony.

    Dismantling and rebuilding chimney

We were extremely satisfied with Anthony's work on our chimney. We needed to replace our crumbling chimney and we did a little research and found Straight Up Masonary. The wait for Anthony to come out was lengthy but it was WELL worth it! Anthony gave us a quote and a date in which he would arrive and deconstruct and rebuild our chimney. He was in contact with us numerous times as the date arrived. When I emailed Anthony he got back to us promptly with any answers we needed. The job itself was done QUICKLY and the price he quoted was right on! He and his work mate cleaned up the area to an excellent standard and he even popped by a few weeks later to ask if everything was okay with the chimney. Working with Straight Up Masonary was an EXCELLENT experience. We are looking to replace our roof now and I only wish Anthony did roofs too:)

Thanks Jessica, and congrats on your new arrival. Tony.

    Chimney repair

Tony professionally repaired the damage to my chimney in the timeframe he quoted and I am very pleased with his work and would recommend him to others. I was also impressed with his followup a few weeks after the repair to ensure all was fine.

    Answer from pro:

Thanks Agnes, We enjoyed working on this chimney repair for you but I think we enjoyed the homemade Scones more so. Tony.

    Tuck pointing

We recently hired Tony for some badly needed tuckpointing on our vintage 1917 home. The work they did was perfect and they identified a few areas that needed special care and just did it. Great communication and it's nice to work with likeable people who obviously want to do a good job. Thank you Tony.

    Answer from pro:

Jeff you have a beautiful home and it was our pleasure to help maintain that look. Thanks Tony.

    replace bricks, redo tuck pointing

We have a brick front and there were a number of bricks in various spots that were breaking down and some serious tuck pointing work needed to be done. We found Tony on Homestars and liked what we read. Tony was always very courteous and friendly and really knew his stuff. We were very impressed with how quickly and and efficiently he worked and did miss a few spots after review and came back the next day to finish them off. He did a really nice job matching the bricks to the rest of the house and also mixed the mortar himself to work with the old style of bricks our house used. Very pleased. My only comment would be that he said it would be a 2 day job but ended up being a 1 day job so for a 1day job, the price I considered to be a little high. for a 2 day job it was about right. However he did a great job with no hassle and that is worth a lot in itself. edit: fixed typos

Thanks John for the great review. On this job we worked through lunch and a couple of hours longer than we normally work to complete the job as rain was being called for that evening, we also did not want to inconvenience your family of tenants for longer than we had to. Again thanks for the review and we will see you in a few weeks when we are doing work for your neighbour. Tony.

    Tuckpointing brick

Straight up masonry arrived promptly to begin their job. They asked if we were satisfied at the end of the job and if there were any areas they missed when tuckpointing. The tuckpointing was clean and even. They only charged what they quoted on their estimate. They cleaned up after themselves.

    Answer from pro:

Was our pleasure Sandra, Glad you are happy with the work. Thanks Tony.

    Rebuild of Chimney

I found Straight- Up Masonry through Homestars. Owner (Anthony) was very knowledgeable and his first price was the final price. He was honest and very friendly. When it came to the day of the Job he was fast and very clean. I was surprised to see how much care he put into making sure everything was clean and went as far as washing down the area. Anthony is professional and I would recommend him to anyone needing masonry repair.

    Answer from pro:

Matthew, the clean up is just as important as any other part of the job, sometimes even more so, I cant imagine a homeowner having. to clean up after us. Thanks Tony.
