    Organized, Skilled, Conscientious, Reliable

    We had a 130-year old chimney that had not been in use for over 20 years, and it was in need of removal. Tony and his two assistants were fabulous! This job turned out to be trickier than expected, because of the poor condition of the bricks and mortar. They arrived on time at 7:30 am, efficiently set up scaffolding at the demolition site, then began work. The task at hand was carried out expertly, and the clean up was perfect. The entire project was completed, including cleaned up, by 1:00 pm. We were impressed! This was our first experience with Straight Up Masonry, but we would call upon them first for any future masonry needs.

    Pillar rebuild

    Tony and his crew did a pillar rebuild at my home. He provided high quality work and I appreciated his attention to detail and a solid clean up after the rebuild was completed. Would highly recommend for any future work.

    Fabulous Front Steps Repair

    Repairing the mortar on my front steps seemed like a simple enough job, but somebody had already given it a go once and, though it looked okay, the repair didn't last. Very disappointing. I turned to Straight Up Masonry because of its many positive reviews, and now add my own. Very easy to deal with, showed up on time, did an excellent job, explained how their work would make a difference. Very satisfied and highly recommend. These guys know their business.

    Excellent work

    After getting quotes from several companies, we decided to go with Straight Up Masonry, and we are so glad we did. We thought their price was reasonable; Tony was great at communicating with us in a timely fashion and patient in answering all my questions; they arrived on schedule, did a beautiful job rebuilding our chimney, cleaned up completely, and finished on time. We couldnt ask for a better experience, and would highly recommend them for any chimney repairs you may need. Very thankful to the whole crew for a job well done.

    Chimney Rebuilt and Replacement of Bricks on Pillar

    I was quite satisfy with Straight Up Masonry in their work. My chimney was crumbling which needed to be rebuilt and the bottom bricks on my front pillar were deteriorating which needed to be replaced. Prior to hiring Straight Up, Tony was able to answer all my questions and explain to me so I would have a better understanding of the work involved. I was worry about my shrubs and tree in the front yard, but there were no damage. The crew made sure each time they left the driveway was cleaned up. After the work was completed, Tony sent photos of the new chimney. They did an excellent job that my brother-in-law has hired them to rebuild the chimney at his house.

    New front porch construction

    Tony and his team did an outstanding job building a new front porch for my home. They worked quickly and efficiently and made sure everything was tidied up before leaving each day. Tony was able to match the new stone to the existing older stone on the house. His attention to detail and workmanship is superb. The completed job was amazing and far exceeded my expectations. I couldn't be happier! I highly recommend Straight Up Masonry.

    Window Sill Replacement

    The Straight Up Masonry team replaced my crumbling brick/parged window sill with a new piece of limestone. From the beginning, communicating with them was fast and efficient. Tony took the time to answer all of my questions, the price was reasonable, and the job was completed when he said it would be. Two gentlemen completed the project while I was at work. Besides coming home to a great looking new window sill, I wouldnt have even known they had been there. They carefully worked around my garden making sure not to damage my plants and left everything spotless. I would definitely recommend them and use them again.

    Chimney dismantle and crack repair

    We hired Tony and his team for a chimney dismantle as well as repairing some cracks in our home. His quote was in the middle based on comparison with competitors, and overall was a very fair price for the amount of work done. His team came on time and were very efficient. They cleaned up the site well after they were finished. The crack repair looks excellent. Tony went out of his way, coming to help us out personally when we needed a tarp placed over the chimney when our roofer (hired separately) did not show up when expected. I would definitely hire Tony and his team for any future masonry needs.

    Tuckpointing and rebricking chimney

    Tony and Crystal and their team did an excellent job tuckpointing around the house and rebricking my chimney in an old house. Very responsive in emails and professional. Would have appreciated a bit more warning on when they were coming to do the job and being notified that my outdoor water spout would need to be turned on to enable them to mix cement. My work was getting done at the beginning of spring and I had not turned on my outdoor water yet. Luckily my neighbour was able to get into the house to turn the water on, else I may have had to reschedule. I understand that weather can make timing challenging. Ultimately they did a great job and i would use them again.

    Sill replacement

    I would highly recommend Straight Up Masonry. Tony and his team were very professional, did exceptional work in removing and replacing the exterior sills prior to window replacement. This work was critical to achieving a new modern look. On the spot I requested a small but extended scope of the work and they were very accommodating and reliably returned to fulfill my small request. Customer service, quality workmanship and integrity are qualities you can count on!
